Our 9th trip here - wonderful hotel and staff - not full of pretentious people like other hotels further up the West coast - best on the island by a mile. We have stayed at Savannah Beach pre COVID and were really looking forward to returning. The hotel in our opinion has gone down in ratings, the staff were pleasant but appear unhappy in their work. The food can only be described as poor. Mostly Buffett options the one night we did get the opportunity to book for al a carte the food was basically thrown at us and it was cold. Most meal times the food was lukewarm warm or cold. Although we had housekeeping everyday they didn’t replace the towels they took, leaving us with 2 bath towels no hand towels for 3 days. There was a group booked in approx 20 people who at times were quite intimidating taking over the beach bar putting their own music on , ordering takeaways to the beach area in the evening. The management should have had a quiet word, yes they were on holiday but so are everyone else. we did have a lovely holiday ate out more that we have previously due to the poor quality food and the lack of choice. We had a couple of days of on off rain and the beach bar closed in the evening, the rain had been in the morning the size of Rachel’s bar was not suitable for all the guests and the very loud entertainment that was on each evening including a fire eating act. We will return to Barbados but not to Savannah Beach Read less

We had a very good stay at this charming hotel in October. The hotel is very clean, comfortable with very friendly staff in every part of the hotel. We were so well looked after and couldn’t fault the service from every team. Our room was immaculate with a nice bed so sleep was excellent! The bathroom possibly needed some modernising but was absolutely fine. Housekeeping was efficient and our room was kept in top order. The beach is nice to relax on but sadly owing to a recent storm the water is not accessible so swimming is off the menu! However just ten mins walk away through the trees is the most glorious white sandy beach where you can hire brollies and beds at a reasonable cost plus there is a nice beach bar too. We went there regularly. Also at the weekend there is a complimentary trip to the copacababa beach club which was lovely. My only feedback really is that the food while plentiful is no terribly exciting. It’s plentiful but a bit uninspiring with similar choices for lunch and dinner. Breakfast was great though I would recommend this hotel as a more budget option Read less

A special thanks has to go to the lovely Beverly who always looked after a party of 9 at every meal and Ramon the entertainment manager who works so hard ensuring everyone has a good time. But also a massive thank you to the wonderful bar staff, I can honestly say that I have never been anywhere where everyone is so friendly from the guys in the beach who are lovely to the reception staff. Highly recommended for a relaxing fun holiday for all the family 👍 Read less

We have just had 10 wonderful days at the Savanaah Beach hotel 2 adults 2 kids and wow, we left feeling like Savannah was our holiday family. Thank you guys you are the best! We're already saving to come back!! Where to start .... The reception staff all amazing and helpful but big shout to Lisa who was so lovely greeted and treated us like family she was such a beautiful soul couldn't do enough to tell us and help us enjoy our stay. Thank you Lisa, we miss you already!! The hotel is in beautiful historic grounds and everyday we saw grounds people and employees working hard in the heat to keep it looking this way. We met Melissa in the holiday pirate cove kids club, if I dropped our kids in for half an hour or half a day they came away loving it with smiles and crafts and played games (they even had a bucket, spades and inflatables library you could borrow items !! My daughter would wake up asking to see Melissa , who would wave at us and ask for the kids whenever we saw her round the hotel. Ramone the entertainment coordinator you are fabulous!! We met ramone on day 2 when he came to find us as we didnt go to orienteering and took the time to get to know us (we witnessed him doing this with all the guests) to ask what we were interested in tell us what was on, he caters around you! Tells you what there is to do and where to go around the island too . I personally did yoga, aqua aerobics and some of the outdoor games with the kids. Bar staff were lovely and brought out the best in my kids making jokes and apparently the BEST vanilla milkshakes ever . Jamar was super friendly and helpful more than happy to go out of his way. Roger was a true gent and we got a historic lesson too we loved him serving us, very friendly and welcoming too. He introduced my kids to the milkshakes and us to the barbados lemonade. Beverly (or auntie Beverly as we secretly called her ) thank you for always greeting us wonderfully, and treating us so well my children loved you too, , we told her we wanted our daughters hair done and she sorted this and actually brought the young lady Denara to our room to organise for us ..thank you she chose her style and loved her hair so much and all the ladies giving advice on how to care for it so it lasted ! The guys at the towel and sunbed area always friendly, chatty and helpful ...thank you guys!! The general manager was around to speak to him if we needed to, but mostly it was a chat and to catch a joke or two, always super interested if we were enjoying ourselves and really cared about the hotel and guests. Walking round the hotel ( and the island) l we got hello, good morning , how are you, goodnight by most staff really made our stay 🥰 Food! We were on a breakfast plan, there was always lots of usual breakfast items in offer croissants eggs , beans , sausage and bacon's, toasts, waffles and crumpets, eggs how you like them, porridge, a few cereals. Omelette with items added, and a special like plantain or fish or bakes every other day. Fruit and desserts like muffins and pastries, juices and water, sorry if I've missed anything out for people visiting !! We did afternoon tea sandwiches drink and desserts , we adults like the sandwiches but the kids were more interested in the desserts ! We had dinner and entertainment one of the nights and it was fun ! My son ended up leading the conga, there was a fire lady ! And a limbo dancer as well as a funny lady going from table to table entertaining with her moves ! Beach - the beach was fine at the hotel to splash and relax but 3 minutes down the road is another amazing beach which is smoother so not a great effort to walk down. Our kids were still happy to play and to splash its just not a swimming beach really as a bit rocky, I actually liked that as it meant it wasn't super busy we could enjoy it more , and we appreciate nature. Room- we had a ground floor, 2 doubles in our room as we chose not to upgrade. Our room was clean and spacious with good aircon and fan to choose from . The bed was very high for our 4 year old so we just moved the table and put a pillow to the side so he didn't fall off at night. The only con was the small gap under the door which we put a rolled up towel at night so bugs didn't get in but you do have to realise youre in barbados there will be a few bugs you meet ! We had a lovely outdoor space right near the pool for the kids access, perfect, take non slip pool shoes for small kids as tiles do get a bit slippy. There are signs around to warn you . There is vending machine near the gym which was good if we got a bit peckish for the kids around meal times. Gift shop was great, had lots of items and sweets snacks and drinks was open office hours. Excursions there is a lady who can organise your excursions with but to be honest as we had been to the island a few times we went out ourselves. I'm so sorry if I've missed anyone out as we met so many amazing people at this hotel! The only person I hate to say wasn't part of the savannah family we came to love was Nakita, she seemed a bit off in the 2 days we saw her but this didn't ruin our stay just needed to be a bit more friendly and welcoming. But out of all of the people who were so nice and welcoming i would say this was a blip in the ocean and wouldn't stop us returning either. Tip: Understand you are in the carribean get to know the culture and the people and it will pay off, you'll have the best time ever, we love Barbados and their hotel was the best we've stayed at so far. It's our 3rd trip as a couple and 1st as a family we will be back again! Paticularly liked this hotel was perfect for our family and met some other lovely guests too ! 😊 Savannah beach we loved you ❤️ Read less
