In its own special way, this is by far the best hotel experience we have ever had!! The service from staff was amazing. Rooms extremely comfortable with big balcony and jacuzzi that overlooked the sea. The thing that made it so special was the service from staff. Special thanks to Nikki on reception, Tre at the bar, Head chef Leo, Neal, Christina and especially the hilarious Julius in the restaurant helped to make this an unforgettable experience. The Cuisine in the a la carte restaurant was without doubt THE best dining experience we have ever encountered, with a varied menu daily, but each and every day, each meal was a delicious dining experience... Thanks Leo!! Every staff member was so friendly and helpful. I've named a few, but these are only the staff that strung to mind, as I could fault anyone. The hotel is situated near a beautiful beach although the sea was a bit rough whilst we were there.... But go round the corner where the life guard station is situated near the corner of the beach and its much calmer. All Inclusive bar service is fantastic with great selection of cocktails and if its not on the menu.... Tre will make you something special. Cant praise this hotel enough... But thanks to EVERYONE for making this a holiday to remember!! Read less

Our first time in Barbados and to the Abidah but it will not be our last. We went with open minds, knowing the hotel was very small with no entertainment and just one restaurant - we absolutely loved it. Five star service - such lovely people and excellent food. My husband is celiac and the Chefs went above and beyond to make sure he was catered for - we both ate very well with a great selection of food and excellent quality. Really large rooms, so clean and very comfortable bed. Whilst there was no live entertainment in the evening, there was music playing and two sports screens and great cocktails. Because of this everyone tended to sit together in the evening and we made some great friends there. Beach is just over a small road and a lovely beach (choppy sea!). The pool is small and sometimes we had it to ourselves which was lovely - this is the only improvement I would highlight - it could be made to look a little better and the sunbeds are not very comfortable, but we spent great days relaxing by the pool. The staff are one of the key things which make this hotel 5 star - everyone without exception was approachable, friendly and could not do enough to help you. There are some in particular I would like to mention who truly made our holiday special, and we really enjoyed spending time with, in particular Julius in the restaurant and bar, Jacobi and Tre on cocktails/bar and Neal the Restaurant/Bar Manager. We spent some great days/evenings with them laughing. Not to forget Christina, Sharon, Ishaka and Shemaiah in the restaurant, and a special thanks to Leo the Chef for looking after my husband. As a solo traveller, who hasn't travelled since covid/lockdown circa 2019, it was time to get back out there. Abidah By Accra ticked all the boxes for my next adventure. A smaller boutique hotel, by the beach, all inclusive, with a'la carte offerings. I read up on the hotel, so knew there wasn't gonna be any entertainment as such. However, due to the size of the hotel, you can't help but form friendships with staff & other guests and make your own entertainment. I had the best 10nt trip. Literally can't fault the hotel. Very Very clean, housekeeping do an amazing job keeping your room immaculate throughout your stay, literally spotless. The staff are what make the place. I formed friendships with many, Ishaka was one of my favourites, she was amazing. Really wish her well, she's brilliant & a lovely lady. The lady chef, my apologies can't remember her name was also amazing, a bubbly, friendly character who was always pleased to see me & always with a smile on her face! Jakobi, who I believe was only working at Abidah for that week, was awesome behind the bar, a really lovely lad, who was a credit to you. He would make a great permanent fixture at your hotel. Tre was also great at the bar & made me some amazing cocktails. The reception team were also amazing. So helpful, so welcoming from the minute I walked in. I'd read a few reviews about the food, but remained open minded. I didn't need to worry. The food was delicious. A different theme each night, Caribbean, Grill, Italian, etc etc. Breakfast was good, help yourself buffet, but you could order eggs/omelette & coffee to your table. You won't go hungry. I honestly cannot fault this Hotel. My experience exceeded my expectations & I was very fortunate to meet some amazing people throughout my stay. Barbados is absolutely beautiful, so much to do, if you want to... A Big thank you to all the staff for having me & for looking after me.. I would love to return someday. Warm Regards Dave Read less

Most of the staff were happy friendly and professional We found the pool area to be a bit tatty sunbeds grubby shower not working properly and pool looked a bit grimy on some days so we preferred the beach although beware some days are more choppy than others and beach shoes recommended. Great to chat and get to know other residents due to size of hotel Food was good on the whole and apparently accommodating for allergies ect Room was lovely and kept clean by brilliant housekeeping. Efficient replacement of broken toilet seat . Hot tub not my cup of tea and didn’t seem to be working properly! Great views from balcony at the front Read less
