We did an amazing sunrise yoga session with Kelson this morning. It was fun, relaxing and a challenge and the perfect way to start the day, you get to do it in their beautiful main hall outside. I highly recommend for all couples and individuals.

I stayed at the Royalton Grenada during the week of November 7 to celebrate my birthday with a small group. As a Marriott Bonvoy member, I am deeply disappointed to share that this was the worst resort experience I have encountered in the Marriott fleet of all-inclusive properties. Front Desk Reception/Check-In: The check-in process began with promise, featuring a refreshing welcome of cool, moistened towels and fruit drinks. However, the process quickly soured as we waited 30 minutes for a trolley to transport us and our luggage to our assigned building. Upon entering our room, we discovered it was adjoined to another room with loud music. While we respect our neighbors’ right to enjoy themselves, the sound reverberated across the floor, prompting us to request a move. Fortunately, the front desk receptionist accommodated this request promptly and reassigned us to a quiet, non-adjoining room. The Resort: The resort's layout could be better, particularly for guests with mobility issues. Its steep, hilly terrain needs clear signage, making navigation time-consuming and confusing. Additionally, the absence of elevators in buildings with up to three floors creates a significant accessibility barrier. This design is neither elder-friendly nor suitable for individuals with leg, knee, or ankle injuries or those who rely on wheelchairs. Dining: The resort offers four all-inclusive dining venues, but the experience could be better. The buffet provides limited options, often lacking variety or freshness. At Grazie, the Italian restaurant, menu items were consistently unavailable or sold out, and additional charges for premium items were exorbitant—$50 for lobster or rib-eye steak and $100 for a T-bone steak. These items were severely undersized and of poor quality, which was unworthy of the price. Taj, the Indian restaurant, stood out as the lone highlight, offering flavorful and well-prepared dishes. However, the poolside restaurant’s minimal menu options and early 5 PM closure limited dining flexibility. Room service was a disaster: wait times stretched to 1-2 hours, and orders were rarely accurate upon arrival. In conclusion, my experience at the Royalton Grenada fell drastically short of the standards expected from a Marriott property. I want to share this review not to solicit a generic response filled with platitudes but to advocate for substantive action. Senior management overseeing food and beverage and housekeeping must conduct a comprehensive overhaul. This includes training staff in hospitality, integrity, verbal communication skills, and effective customer service. Furthermore, the menus in each restaurant require a complete refresh to reflect the current capabilities of the kitchen rather than lingering on outdated options from the resort’s more luxurious past. This is not merely constructive criticism but a sincere plea for the Royalton Grenada to reclaim its former glory as a luxury resort and offer the exceptional experiences Marriott Bonvoy members expect and deserve. Grenada is a beautiful island; as such, the Royalton Grenada owes St. George much higher standards. Read less
