The hotel

There’s something special about staying in a family run resort. It adds an air of authenticity, a warmer kind of welcome, and little extras which bigger hotels might just forget about. That’s what you get with True Blue Bay Boutique Resort. The owners know just what you need for a stay on this south coast bay, and they include family musts like a kids' playground and activities, local touches like rum and chocolate tasting, and free treats like Hobie cats, ocean kayaks and yoga classes. They even run a complimentary shuttle to Grand Anse Beach, and BBC Beach in Morne Rouge. Designing the hotel themselves, the Fielden family have added Caribbean touches throughout the resort, as well as those things you’d only expect from a big-name hotel; including four pools, a spa, a boutique, fresh bakery, escape room game, and a PADI-certified dive centre.

The hotel staff are very friendly and respectful. The room was beautifully organized and decorated for the birthday lady. The view just gave peace and tranquillity. We will definitely be back again for another staycation and next time we will stay longer. The breakfast buffet was great also !!!

This was our 3rd time to True Blue. It was a very relaxing vacation! We enjoyed ourselves tremendously and felt at home while we visited! The housekeeping staff were so friendly and helpful making sure no fragrance was used in the room and keeping the room clean each day. Front desk staff, concierge and most waitresses/waiters were all so helpful and friendly (going out of their way to make us enjoy our vacation). They sure made us feel at home! Street Food Night (on Wednesday) was great! Great food and great music! At Dodgy Dock Restaurant we ended up canceling a dinner and not booking another due to getting the same waitress the first 2 times we booked at the restaurant. We felt like she took our orders and left. Someone else delivered it to us both nights and on the 2nd night she didn't even deliever our drinks we had ordered (we ate without drinks)! It was like she said hi, took our orders and left! We ended up paying at the hostess desk and leaving early both nights. I'm hoping they will try and improve their staff that need a bit more training. I would hate them to lose business over 1 staff member. We would have eaten there a couple of more times if it hadn't been like this 2 nights in a row. If this had been our 1st visit to True Blue I don't think I would want to go back the next time we would go to Grenada. Oh... you have to try new House of Chocolate Bakery!!! They have lots more than just chocolate. MMM.... See you all next time we come back to Grenada! Read less

Property has a ton of deferred maintenance - went with a group for scuba, several members had issues with rooms from AC and fans not working to flooding of the room cause of storms. Breakfast was basic - same everyday - service non-existent. Food was so SLOW coming out at lunch - several members did not get lunch before afternoon dive. No service at pools - pics posted very photo shopped. With the rain the sceptic smell was present. Would not go back - not a fantastic location but walkable into St. George food options much better in town just no time between morning and afternoon dives. Front Desk staff friendly but not helpful - bar staff could care less - you were bothering them by asking for service Read less

There is one restaurant, it is on the water with pretty views. More dinner choices and lunch choices would be recommended as this is the only restaurant at this resort. The food was good and freshly prepared. The resort could use a snack bar at one of the pools. The pool areas have no bar or food service. There is also no towel service at the pools. The linen service overall is poor for the rooms. It is difficult to get any extra linens if needed. The quality of the towels is poor also. The lounge chairs at the pools need updating and cushions should be provided. The shuttle service to the beach was very good, the drivers are friendly and knowledgeable about the surrounding area. Grenada is not built up or commercial. If you enjoy a rustic, genuine and natural tropical setting then Grenada is for you. Read less

We stayed at True Blue Bay for 5 nights. We would have stayed longer however, we were on to another resort on the island to experience more. I have some very fond memories and was more then pleased with the resort. We arrived and were greeted by smiling faces and happy front desk staff. Upon a smooth and quick check-in we were taken to our room which was immaculate. We stayed in the water front two level suite, more like a condo I would say. They have several pools, that were also clean and well attended. We never lacked for a place to hunker down, there was shade and sun spots. They did a happy hour of rum punch at one of the pools everyday. We loved this. The layout of the resort is awesome, nice walking piers, beautiful restaurant literally on the water, dive shop just around the bend, an awesome outdoor bar by the middle pool and although we didn't use any of the water sports equipment it was there and looked to be in great condition. They although you put dinners and drinks on your room which is super convenient. I also want to point out that they include breakfast. The breakfast was not only fresh and had an abundance of choices but they would do made to order eggs of any kind. My husband I think had an omelet everyday. There is also many drinks to choose from in the morning breakfast and one of our favorite things about this was a they would have a different hot tea out every morning. My husband and I tried all of them. Lovely touch. One last note, the staff at this resort take care of anything and everything you may need. Anytime we needed a taxi, a recommendation, directions, even rented us a car for the day, very accommodating. Now for the fun part, here are some staff members who went above and beyond for us, Brandt front desk, Sky, Hope thanks for the fun and rum punch, Christel super fun, Therisa and of course Kiana our omelet specialist. Thanks for making our first Grenada trip amazing and sharing your beautiful island with us. Hope to return again. Read less
