The Grand is wonderful. The food impeccable for an all inclusive. I didn’t have a bad meal there. The service was top notch. The pools kept clean, the grounds meticulously cared for. My only complaint was that our room and the interior parts of the hotel are a little dated and can use some upgrades. There’s also a strong musty smell throughout the hallways; these are the only reasons I rated it 4 out of 5 stars. My conclusion: the grand is definitely bougie on a budget and I would stay there again. Read less

BEACH: There are multiple locals standing/swimming by the shore selling/smoking weed. It reeks and you cannot enjoy the smell of the ocean/fresh air. The water is nice, but it is filled with baby jellyfish and you will absolutely get stung if you choose to swim there. BEACH TOWELS: The staff would display the good towels and refuse to hand them off by saying all 20 of them are “just for display and they are not washed,” while giving you the old warn out towels. By the time it hits 4:30pm—there won’t be any towels left for grabs…not even the ones for “display.” ENTERTAINMENT: They expect you to pay extra—at an all-inclusive hotel—for attending evening shows, otherwise, there is nothing going on at night. They also charged our room for “attending” the show, although, we never did. Be careful. FOOD: The buffet is closed for dinner, so you will need to go to the sister hotel (the one of lower quality), otherwise eat something at a restaurant and wait for hours to get food served (If they even have what they claim to have on the menu). Otherwise food is very mediocre. The coffee shop is a joke and even served milk that went bad. ROOM: The AC will only work if you are present and moving in the room. It will absolutely shut down after you go to bed at night and stop moving. STAFF: Plain and simple: rude and not helpful. TRANSPORT: We paid for a private car--TRANSFER TOURS did not send for us. We rode in a shared van and spent 40 min picking up people from other hotels. This was not a 5-star hotel. Spend your money somewhere else. Read less

We had our wedding at the Grand, with 40 guests staying here and at the Suites. Upon our arrival, we received news that Hurricane Beryl was set to make landfall exactly on our wedding day. This caused a lot of emotional stress as we were uncertain whether the wedding could go on as planned. Ultimately, we decided to move it to the following day. I must commend Sanjaunia, our wedding coordinator. She went above and beyond to reassure me and ensure we still had a beautiful wedding. Special thanks to our butlers, Kadeen, Rohan, and Gary, for taking excellent care of us. The staff here have been incredible. Their service has been amazing, and we always felt like we were among friends. Even during the lockdown, they never wavered in their care. There’s no doubt in my mind we will be returning. Read less

The food variety in the buffet, restaurants ambience,(thanks to Alicia in French restaurant and Lamar in Steak house), beautiful lobby and all meticulously clean grounds made our stay extremely pleasant. Our room was always very clean thanks to our housekeeper Rose Marie Jackson. But the best are in this resort their wonderful people. Everyone we encountered was so sweet and eager to help if we needed. Our special appreciation to the Entertainment team Lisa, Judy, Lady D, Smiley, Kyash, Jermaine and their Manager Deivy Noel. Thank you Deivy for teaching me Spanish salsa!!! that was the most relaxing and enjoyable trip we ever had. I would highly recommend visit this resort. We are planning to coming back next year. Our trip to Iberostar Grand Rose Hall was fun! We met amazing guests and we enjoyed many of the activities. The hurricane impacted our stay, but we were kept safe. Lisa (entertainment) and Valentine (butler) were highlights of our trip going well above and beyond!
