Stray cats on resort and being abused. The best part of the resort was the pier on the water. The food was good but only one dinner restaurant that changed their dinner menu daily. Locals beg terribly. They don’t take no for an answer. The room was cleaned well daily, however we had to sit out used dishes out in the hallway on the table. Sometimes it was there for over 24 hours. Overall it’s a nice hotel if you’re looking to relax and regroup. Read less

Large soaking tub and good shower. The balcony was a good size with a great ocean view. The staff were very friendly and provided excellent service especially Barbara in the Lobby bar. The Coyaba restaurant was excellent with a different menu every night of our stay. Coyaba also served breakfast and although the menu didn't change there were plenty of good choices. However the Canoa restaurant for lunch had very limited choices and not a lot of lighter options. You did have Jerky Jo's also for lunch and that was fine for one lunch. Resort would have rated 5 stars except for two issues: 1. Only the treadmills in the fitness centre worked. The other equipment were missing power cords for some unknown reason and the staff couldn't provide replacements. 2. The music tended to be too loud both during the day and at the live entertainment. The band on our first day was 30 feet from the tables in the restaurant but had the volume up like they were playing in a stadium. It could be heard all through the resort. Not the serenity we look for in a Zoetry property. Read less

Have no expectations whatsoever and you'll have great time. We are visiting UVC resorts for 12 and are members for 7 years. So, if you are UVC member, and you have visited other resorts under their management, lower your expectations additionally. Resort is small, beautiful, beach and pool area clean and nice. There is no service at all though, so in 5 days we got drinks at pool once, and 0 times on the beach. Beach towels are available, but not before 10ish and assistance with sunbrella and chair depends on who is on duty and if manager made his round at the time you happened to be there. Staff is very nice and friendly, but directionless. Be prepared that not all food on dinner menu or wine for purchase is available. Lunch options include grilled chicken and sausage (both nice and tasty) and incredibly dull menu that never changes in the pool restaurant. Also, your order will never come as requested. Something is always missing or food is not prepared as you asked. All coffee comes out same, regardless if you ordered cappuccino, cafe latte, americano... Activities, just forget about those. On board advertised yoga, nature walk or snorkeling (Monday and Friday) were not available once. Spa is very nice, massage was best service we received. Gym is good and well equipped. Only things we requested from our butler to be delivered every day of our stay were morning pot of coffee and afternoon champagne and fruit. We got second one once. In summary, overall, this is the worst UVC resort experience we ever had. Read less

This is a resort that should be marketed for couples. Kids are allowed but my son was the only kid there. “Awkward”. The resort is not family friendly. If you are thinking about resorts that have fun pool activities this is not your place. Everyday was absolutely boring!! The pools were dirty, and one day did not open until 11am. The spa pools were so dirty I chose not to have spa services out of fear of the place not being sanitized. The mini bar has one small bottle of Jamaican Rum, water and soda. It also has one bottle of brut champagne. The refrigerator does not keep or get anything cold. Had to call maintenance the first day to unclog the shower drain, fix the water pressure and make the water hotter. The ala carte service will have you losing valuable vacation time waiting to be seated, and waiting for your food to come out. There are NO BUFFETS!!! There are also no elevators!!! So be prepared to walk up a lot of steps with your luggage! Then walk up and down the stairs just to get to your room! The exercise facility is extremely dated and nothing is in place to keep things sanitized after use! You will need to tip every single time in order to get quality service! Overall terrible experience. I’m sure I can keep going about how horrible this stay was. Don’t waste your money, many other quest we’re trying to book somewhere else and get their money back. I’m extremely disappointed and always wanted to stay at one of the Zoetry Resorts! Read less

We have stayed at numerous Zoetry’s prior to this location. We decided to try Montego Bay with hopes we would have a similar experience, but unfortunately we were wrong. We had read mixed reviews before coming, but what resort doesn’t have pro’s/con’s so we decided to still book based on our personal experiences at other locations. We wish we hadn’t. Upon checkin on Monday the butler made it clear he was done for the day already, but still brought us to our room with the help of my husband carrying bags. FIRST IMPRESSIONS are everything! There was no tour through the property. When asked about What’s App being setup he said the other Butler would do it tomorrow (it was not mentioned again to us until Thursday). We asked the front desk how we could get more information or where we can ask questions and the response was just press “0”. We tried to use the Inclusive App (which we only knew about based on other stays), but it was never accurate. Menus were not updated and times of meal service were not correct. The property was small enough so we of course could manage finding things on our own. We had booked a swim out suite with an ocean view. The website specifically stated it would be in the Blue Mountain Building, which it was not. I called the Front Desk to inquire and was told we never guarantee buildings. When I mentioned the website she just kept saying we don’t guarantee rooms. She did get a manager who also reiterated our room had a view and no guarantee of location , but did eventually say the next day they could possibly move us later in the day. The next day was also going to be the worse of the weather/rain. We declined at this point. It is definitely not a wellness resort. There was overhead plane noise and loud motorcycle noise from the road. These things would never be something I mentioned if they were the only issues. The pool music was very loud and more party type music. Dinner music at Canoa was also loud. Unfortunately because we didn’t receive the ocean view room, we had a room in return that had a view of the back of Canoa and of the main pool instead, which means we heard all of the loudness day and night. The only positive of our room was the staff did walk past often so we were able to at times, minimal as it was, get drinks in our swim out suite; if we had been in the other building I doubt we would have ever been served. Our swim out pool was never cleaned our entire stay. We had a cockroach in our room the first night, when we asked the butler the next day if they spray the property or if the housekeepers would have a spray we could use around doorways he said he would ask. We are still waiting for that answer. Whether it actually helped or not we slept with the room VERY cold going forward with all lights on in an effort to deter more bugs; it at least helped us feel more comfortable. We never unpacked our luggage with the worry we would end up with bugs in our bags. There was hot water ONE day of our stay. The water pools in the shower because the floor is not pitched correctly towards the drain, so it leaves standing water. Often times they were out of menu items at the beginning of the meal, some days no fruit, no yogurt, or no Red Stripe. We were woken up one morning with the fire alarm. We were woken up two other mornings with our Butler calling to see if we needed our mini bar refreshed. As for the positives - KIMBERLY, BARBARA, a few others we do not remember the names of (but they were night staff in the restaurants), and food at Jerky Jo’s was amazing! I have read many recent reviews which mention some of these exact things I mentioned and the staff response is they wish you would have mentioned while you were there so they could address. Why do items that clearly are issues mentioned previously need to be continuously mentioned by many guests before getting resolved? The resort knew we were unhappy, which I’m sure was the reason they didn't do an exit survey with us on property as they were doing with others checking out. In return they sent an email to ask questions and to leave a trip advisor review, so here is the review! Do not go! Spend your money elsewhere! Read less
