It’s so amazing to see the evolution of this amazing property-and while so many great changes are taking effect (in terms of room/property renovation), the core foundation of leadership and customer service remain constant. Hats off to Mr. Battaglia and his team for keeping the magic flowing. Can’t wait to come back!

The resort is beautiful. The grounds are amazing. We really enjoyed the room as it was spacious and the beds were comfortable. There were great views all around the property and we were able to explore and find new fun things every day! The mineral pool and grotto were very nice! The spa was fantastic and we really enjoyed the massages seaside. Food was more hit than miss but we did have one bad meal where my husband got sick from the fish, mahi mahi, from one bite. It had a horrible smell to it and should not have been served. Overall the service is really slow, especially when you are used to better and faster service. We also were surprised how often the staff said “No” to us when we asked for something…. Even for bottles of water we were told no. Other resorts we’ve stayed at would move mountains to give what we were asking for and we’ve never been told no. The staff could definitely use improvement. Our biggest concern was the alcohol. We never saw them open a new bottle of liquor. It was all half bottles being poured into other bottles. We weren’t sure what we were getting and that was unsettling. At one point my husband ordered a vodka and tonic at the pool swim up. The bartender said they didn’t have vodka and grabbed a bottle of gin and said it was the same thing and poured it anyway, even when he said he did not want that. Same with the mini bar in the room. All of the bottles, with the exception of wine, were opened when we arrived to our room. The vodka was 100% watered down. It’s also scary not knowing what is in the bottles. We tended to stick to wine and beer for that reason. This resort could be a 5 star resort but it’s not because of the staff/service. Read less

The food was sublime, no buffet except Tuesday night traditional Jamaican evening and Friday night’s international evening on the lawn. Other than that and breakfasts all other times are A La Carte menus. The Asian restaurant was our personal favourite. All the drinks and mixers are brands you would know. The staff are amazing nothing is too much trouble. When we left it was like saying good bye to an old friend. This is without doubt the best resort in the Caribbean we have every stayed at and how we wished we had found it sooner. Sans Souci is different that it wants you to come back, you are not treated as if you are just passing through, they treat returning customers to extra benefits such a special diner on Wednesdays night. If you are thinking of a Jamaican holiday you could do no better than this resort. Couples have 4 resorts in Jamaica and if this one is anything to go by I am sure the other will be great too. I had to delete my original review (see below) to update our experience. It is currently 6/20/24 at 9:40 pm. The day started out great as the scrambled eggs and croissant I had for breakfast was amazing. The woman who cooked the eggs, I think her name is Carol, but I may be incorrect, was singing gospel and she set the tone. Teneel, (I hope that I am spelling her name correctly, served us and she was delightful. The beach was beautiful, the water was warm, clear, and calm. The pool was warm and clean and Shawn at the bar was kind and provided excellent service. The photographer, Aaron, is a kind soul and is transparent and helpful. The gentlemen at the activities area were helpful and assisted us with towels and signing up for activities. At approximately 10:30 a.m. we needed some water and that was a chore. I was ready to go to the store and buy a couple of cases. The manager, Chedine Kelly, got wind of this and informed Georgia that they have plenty of bottled water and would provide me with as much as I need. This is the customer service that I expect from Couples Sans Souci. At approximately 11:00 a.m. I worked out at the gym. The gym is decent. I love working out and this gym satisfied my needs. Aesthetically, it can use an upgrade but they have a decent amount of equipment. At approximately 2:30 p.m. we went back to our room and the mini bar was still unstocked. I called the front desk and within five minutes our mini bar was appropriately stocked. This is the Couples Sans Souci that I have heard and read about. At approximately 4:15 p.m. we were at the beach and the Manager, Chedine Kelly, made contact with us. We had not met her earlier. She made it her mission to find us and address our concerns. Our first day here was not what we expected but Ms. Kelly's intention to address our concerns, her diligence in seeking us out, her commitment to provide excellent service, and her kind and calm demeanor made us feel welcome, valued, and heard. People remember how you made them feel and today Couples Sans Souci made us feel amazing. Initial review that was posted on 6/19/24 at 10:30 p.m. I'm here now (10:30 pm) as I write a review about my first day (five and a half hours to be exact), and I will never return. The people at the Couples lounge at the airport were absolutely helpful. The bus driver from MBJ to the resort was insightful, personable, informative, and kind. Upon arrival at the property, the gentleman who grabbed my bags (Jacob) wasn't mean; he wasn't welcoming. I am used to employees at these resorts exhibiting an attitude of kindness, joy, and overall helpfulness. I understand people have a bad day, so I tipped him, tipped the bus driver, and tipped the gentleman who handled our bags when we were transferring from the lounge to the bus. We get to the front desk to check-in. Trudy and Georgia are kind, but it is 5:00 pm, so their energy is a bit low, or at least I think that is why. Then I noticed that the energy at the property is low, so maybe this is the culture of this resort, and maybe it works for them. No problem. We get to our room, and Jacob is showing us things in the room, and he notices that the mini bar is empty. He says they should've stocked it and that he'll tell them. Ten minutes later, I called the front desk to check on the mini bar being stocked. Trudy Ann informs me that they have until 7:00 p.m. and they'll get it done. I have no reason not to trust her as people get busy and have no reason to misstate something so simple. We go to eat and walk the property just to get a feel of it. The Palazzina restaurant is open at 6:30. We get seated to eat. Camille's energy communicates that she couldn't care less about serving us. I don't believe that it was anything personal, it just appears that the employees have a laid back attitude. In all fairness, I am comparing energy from employees I've experienced when staying at Excellence, Grand Palladium, Secrets (my favorite), and Jewel Paradise Cove. We return to the room at 8:15 and our mini bar is still empty. I called Georgia at the front desk, and she stated that they would attempt to get someone here to stock the mini bar. They were unsuccessful, but they were able to provide us with the water and Coke zeros (actually, it was Diet Coke we requested), but they don't have Diet Coke. Lastly, we're relaxing in our room, and a full-on concert starts at 9:15. I can't focus on some work I'm doing, and my wife can't sleep. I called the front desk at 9:26 because I wanted to sleep now, and they informed me that it would end by 10:00-10:15. It is now 10:32, and they're still going. This resort is not what I thought that it would be and I am very disappointed. I am considering finding another all-inclusive that is a bit more customer service oriented and mindful of how operations should be run to support their stakeholders utilizing their product, the resort. This may be the only way to salvage our vacation. Read less

We were originally booked with another hotel chain but having read some dreadful reviews over the months we decided to transfer to CSS . It proved to be an wise decision From the minute we arrived until the minute we left we had an absolutely wonderful time . We stayed in A block which looks over the main pool and lawn and while it was a bit of a climb we used the shuttle bus to access main reception, Casanova's and the Martini and Balloon bars . All the staff were very friendly and welcoming so we felt 'at home' straight away . We had a few minor issues with restocking the mini bar but then discovered that we could order using the QR code although we didn't know about it when we arrived . We also booked dinner through it and had no problem reserving tables The grounds are stunning and we enjoyed meeting Cracker the parrot and feeding the turtles , pelicans and cranes at the lake . The food was always delicious although be warned that Jamaican food is very spicy . Plenty of choice at the breakfast buffet. We enjoyed the evening entertainment especially the Managers Cocktail Party and the Caribbean and Gala nights . The staff worked so hard to make it special for us We couldn't help but notice how many guests were returners and we could see why . We would have no hesitation recommending CSS and I'm sure will come back Read less
