This was our first experience at a Sandals resort and we can't wait to go again! The resort was beautiful, the staff were friendly and exceptional, the food was delicious and the overall experience was phenomenal! I had a 90 min massage at the spa -- Rinella was excellent and made me feel so comfortable/relaxed.

We just returned from Sandals Dunn’s river Nov 11-18. RM 3101 swim up. Before I begin, I want to be clear that we know Sandals brand well as we have been going since 2004. That being said, the reason we give Dunn’s river a 3* is due directly to lack of management presence! The resort itself is lovely! We loved how lush and compact it is. A truly lovey resort! We loved our room! Very spacious however those bathroom sinks are ridiculous! Trench type sinks and the faucet is so low you can barely get your hands under neath to wash. So poorly designed. Restaurants were so beautifully decorated but food was subpar to other Sandals we have been to. Service was hit or miss! and not because of staff! They were all so amazing, warm and professional. We felt there was lack of experience under staffing and possibly less training. This fault lays directly on management. Our high light was the Jerk Shack! Best food all week! Except for maybe the returning guest luncheon! We just wished they put as much attention to food in the restaurant menus as they did for the lunch! I think it is very important to mention the Loyalty Dept! and the real reason for this review! My Husband and I have never felt so under appreciated by any loyalty dept before this one at Dunn’s river! We felt like we were getting the run around all week! From trying to get our reserved private car back to the airport , to inquiring about certain benefits to being told different things by different agents! YOU NEED TO DO BETTER! This Dept was by far the worst part of our experience! We implore management to correct this lack of people skills among this dept! I will say it!!! As we have finally achieved ambassador level with Sandals this was the first Sandals where we felt loyalty treated us so poorly! So, so disappointing! Management needs to step up their game at this resort! and that starts at the TOP! On a softer note! lol Hubby and I cannot say enough and heap praise on all of the staff! From playmakers to bars and restaurants! To grounds and room staff! We thank you for making our week so special! Special shout out to Dwayne on the beach for your friendly smile every morning you are the sweetest guy! 💗 and last but not least! To our great Butler team! Venice and Gareth! You guys rock! Venice! We will never forget your kindness and warmth! Such a beautiful soul! I hope management appreciates and sees what you do for them!? Food was very good, but service was a bit slow. All the staff were friendly and accommodating. I decided to get my open water dive certification while there and Lincoln was a super instructor! Was able to take all the lessons, do my required dives and course work (online) and still enjoy plenty of pool time relaxing. Very good experience and definitely recommend it. Read less

The Sandals Dunns River Resort was very clean, amazing staff - nothing was too much for them, very polite, and everything was superb. We thoroughly enjoyed our vacation. The food at the resort was delicious for every meal we had. The restaurant Manyu was great because the Chef Vikram made dishes as per our request which was not even in the Menu. we thoroughly enjoyed the food. The Manager Kim was very polite, friendly and welcoming. The people working there, Kamala, Kimone, and also Paula who we met at the French Restaurant were all very accommodating. I must mention Brittania who checked us in and was available when we were leaving. she was one amazing young lady. she also sang for us a goodbye song which we thought was a very kind gesture. my wife and i would definitely return to this resort again. amazing cuisine and we had lovely weather too. finally a big shout out to Mario who entertained us every evening!! thank you Sandals for the amazing time!!
