Beautiful property! The restaurants are great! Steak house one of the best! Sports Bar top notch in accommodating a fight during our visit. The staff very attentive. The only thing bad I would say is that I wish their pools would have been warmed!

In two words - buffet is completely disappointing selection, no air-conditioning in public areas and restaurants. Very limited alcohol selection. Everything else is fine. Rooms is fine and comfortable. Stuff is very friendly and responsive.

Having stayed here before, I knew exactly what to expect on this visit. Travelling with someone who had not been to Cancun, they were excited following my recommendation. This hotel is located in the Hotel Zone - a short transfer from the airport with nice views en-route. The staff are waiting to welcome you and escort you for check in. You will either check in at the main reception or in a preferred lobby with personal concierge if booking a preferred room. I have done both - there are subtle differences but enjoyed both just the same! You will see people criticise this Hotel for entertainment - the staff are among the best I have encountered on my travels - everyone does such an amazing job and the logistics of running such a huge Hotel to this standard is simply impressive. There are activities and entertainment throughout the day at the pools, bars, lobby etc. - you can engage as much or as little as you like - we couldn't fault it as we were after a relaxing vacation so nothing too wild! The rooms were spacious and clean, beds comfortable - housekeeping twice daily. Whilst the balcony wasn't completely private - we did have an excellent view. The rooms nearest the Hard Rock get the best sun! The amenities were great and dual shower perfect. Ample storage space with safe, robes, slippers etc - everything you would expect in a Hotel of this standard. The ambience, service, quality of food/drinks across the whole resort are among the best I have experienced - there are so many options with something for everyone. Our favourites were Nebbiolo, Bluewater Grill, Vine Cafe and Market Cafe. Our favourite place to relax was on the beach - the staff are constantly passing by to handle any requests - some people did have trouble with lack of umbrellas but staff were on hand to help and done their best to accommodate - we never had any issues. We loved relaxing on the beach with drinks, the water is so blue and warm - lifeguards are very attentive! The spa and fitness centre looked fabulous but we are unable to comment as we didn't use either on this visit. The thing that made our stay extra special was the staff - every one of them deserves recognition for their hard work - from the staff at the entrance, housekeeping and chefs/restaurant staff! Everything was perfect and in particular we would like to personally thank our butlers Mauricio and Sebastian, Cesar, iDeisi, Lourdes, Nadia, Itzel, Reyna, Victoria, Ibeth, Claudia and her dad Louis - who looked after us on the beach and Ixchel. We are already looking forward to our next visit! Read less

Would give 0 star if possible! Big scam hotel, please go somewhere else if you want to enjoy your trip! We know that when you leave the hotel, you're often faced with scams and hidden fees, and unfortunately, Secret the Vine is no different. ALERT: The lock on our hotel room door stopped working, and the door wouldn’t lock. We’re unsure how long it had been unlocked, but thankfully, our belongings were safe. Our room phone line was broken and it took them 3 days to come check out the line. Hotel: The room doors, bathroom mirror, and corners of the bathroom were all in poor condition. When it started to rain, water leaked into the hotel. Service: It's clear that the staff doesn’t want to be there; they only show generosity and smile when tipped. However, they seem unhappy with small tips. Staff in general were` rude and unwelcoming to big groups. - A couple seated next to our table spent extra money on wine, and as a result, they turned on the AC just for their corner. Lobby: It seemed like they deliberately turned off the AC in the lobby, as if they didn't want people relaxing there. The lobby was unbearably hot, with the temperature at 30°C, and to make it worse, they also turned on the fireplace. Room: The room was very disappointing; the reality was a complete contrast to what I saw in the Google photos. The cleanliness was poor— they didn't clean the floor, restock the water or drinks in the fridge, and failed to remove the dirty towels. All inclusive deal: Even though this is an all-inclusive hotel, the staff seems unhappy if you drink or eat too much. While we were at Market Cafe with 10 friends, enjoying drinks and food, the manager became upset and stood beside us, glaring to make us feel unwelcome. The hotel offers a $200 coupon, but you can't use it without spending money first. For example, the spa costs $249, and you're only allowed to apply a $40 coupon, or for a romantic dinner priced at $280, you can use a $60 coupon. While they market it as VIP service, you still have to spend upfront to take advantage of it. Overall, this was the worst experience I've ever had. Secret the Vine ruined what was supposed to be an exciting trip with friends, leaving us all disappointed as we left Cancun with no desire to return. Read less

My stay at Secrets The Vine Cancun was disappointing, especially given its reputation and high price. While some staff were warm and helpful, their efforts were overshadowed by others who were dismissive and unfriendly. Many servers appeared to improve their attitude only after receiving tips, which felt disingenuous. The front desk staff, unfortunately, set a negative tone early in the trip, especially when they were reluctant to help resolve issues with our room’s broken lock and phone. Additionally, the dinner manager at the Market Grill was unnecessarily condescending, further diminishing the experience. The resort’s facilities also fell short of expectations, with the lobby being uncomfortably hot due to a lack of air conditioning, making it unpleasant to relax or enjoy meals in nearby restaurants. The coffee was underwhelming, with both regular brews and off-brand Nespresso pods falling far below the standard for a luxury resort. Room cleanliness was also disappointing, with stained furniture and bed sheets that undermined the advertised luxury. While the food was average at best, the beachside tacos were the one highlight of an otherwise lackluster dining experience. Overall, Secrets The Vine failed to live up to its reputation, and this ended up being my least enjoyable all-inclusive stay in Cancún. The resort has potential, but unless significant improvements are made, I cannot recommend it. Read less
