435 suites across the resort, all have a contemporary design with modern furnishings. The rooms and property were very visibly unclean (including blood stains on hammocks, blood on the hallway floor in building 4, dirt all over pool loungers, almost every cup and glass at the bars and restaurants were dirty, heavily stained towels at the pool, garbage on beach, constant crumbs and hair on tables and chairs in restaurants, etc). The rooms and property were very visibly unclean (including blood stains on hammocks, blood on the hallway floor in building 4, dirt all over pool loungers, almost every cup and glass at the bars and restaurants were dirty, heavily stained towels at the pool, garbage on beach, constant crumbs and hair on tables and chairs in restaurants, etc). The service from staff was extremely hit and miss. Fernando at the pool, Maria/Nicole/Luiz at the bars, Jonathan/Dafne/bartender at Satsu, Kevin at Agua Bendita, and Christian at Olios were amazing!!! The food/service at Vora Mar was awful and food around the resort overall was mediocre, with the exception of Olios and Satsu, which were both great. Make sure to bring pants and a collared shirt if you’re dining at Olios or you will be provided with communal clothes. The pools were constantly running out of towels and the pool bars out of cups so people were bringing their own water bottles for drinks. Indoor and outdoor drains were clogged our entire stay, hot water in room shower and balcony jacuzzi did not work and required maintenance during our stay, after which we could get hot water in the mornings but only cold water in the evenings. Overall Haven was really disappointing and you’re better off spending the same amount of money for a much better experience at a Barcelo or Secrets resort. Read less

Promised things for the mix up only for it all to be taken away. Levi our bar service to our room was amazing! Adrian and Maria in the Serenity lounge were amazing. Ask for a Maria special or a “coochie coochie” from Adrian. Tahini breakfast delicious- coffee service lacking a few of us had to go get the guy or get our own tea/coffee refills. Buffet breakfast good but sometimes cold. Buffet and Vistas and room service for lunch all delicious and great service and great variety. Probably the best meal time. Dinners hit or miss not a wide variety of food choices on the menus and some not true to the type of dinner ideas Steakhouse/Mexican ok steaks lacking paper thin, calamari excellent, guacamole awesome- drinks arrived after food Satsu- best dinner option based on all 6 of us we ate here twice - we did the a la carte twice sushi was so good Vora Mar - good apps, good pizza, undercooked pasta it crunched when you bit into it, dessert ok Olios - service lacked - wouldn’t allow you to try two apps and drinks came wrong and after food, and all 6 main courses took almost 2 hours and came out stone cold you couldn’t eat it at all - horrible food Tahini for dinner was nice but for Indian food not many options Resort was clean Pools were all clean and nice Not a lot of day activities Moons club and theatre horribly small so if you want to see shows good luck to you Night activities lacking Serenity club nice area Cafe nice but could be larger and should offer lounge seating Could use a real sports bar Need more safe walking areas as very slippery when wet in all public areas and in all rooms Close to airport only 17min drive and most of this is the long drive way from the road Safe Would I rush back here? Excelente food, great service. Rafael was our server, the best! We had the octopus, lobster bisque, New York strip, sashimi, shrimp tacos, steak tartar. Rafael made sure our experience was unique and brought us the best coffees and desert after our delicious dinner.
