I would like to thank all the staff, especially those in the restaurant, for all the help and kindness shown to me. I walk with a stick and find steps difficult. There was always someone there offering to help. One thing I would suggest, is something to hold onto when entering and exiting the shower.

However, we couldn’t always get served either at the bar or by the restaurant staff. They always seemed to be doing something more important and left us standing for long periods of time before being served or shown a table. (they were not serving anyone at the time) Don’t bother to ask about the menu special as the staff did not know what it was and has to go and ask. Mostly the answer was “ it’s not available” so never did find out what the special was! Some of our hotel mates were charged for extras despite being all inclusive, any thing up to 200 dollars US because they were given menus that did not state that some of the courses in it were not part of the all inclusive deal. Food off the menu was good, though a wait of anything up to an hour was the norm, food from the buffet was poor to average. The cleaners and the ground staff were by contrast really friendly and helpful and always greeted us with an enthusiastic “ good morning, how are you today “? On the whole, a disappointing stay, I did not feel welcome, I asked my fiancée if I could go home half way through, nor was I met with any enthusiasm to help by most the staff (but not all) at the hotel for the entire duration of my stay I would go back to St Lucia because it is a beautiful island , but, sad to say, I would not go back to stay bay gardens Read less

Our experience of the Hotel was not great at all. Staff were not particularly helpful. The food in the Restaurant was good when you ordered off the menu. Otherwise the Buffet was awful. The Staff in the restaurant never never served with a smile. The Bar Staff would disappear. So you could wait and wait for them to decide to come back. We booked a room with a Garden and Pool View. That didn’t happen. We were overlooking a not very nice Garden. One of the reasons we wanted to be moved was because our TV didn’t work in the room. We complained and were told it was a Provider problem and would be sorted out. It never was for the whole of our stay. Couldn’t even speak to them after the 3rd day of trying. Never worked. So asked to be moved to a smaller room than we had paid for but near the Pool. But No. Even though we were aware rooms were available. Could not believe the negativity of the staff. To be fair. The cleaner’s came every day and that was great. It’s a shame because I really don’t know why it was so uncomfortable. But it was. Even at the end on our last day. The Receptionist told me to sit in Reception for an hour and a half to wait for my pick up. Until I made them call the Agent who gave us a 30 minute window. It was all very weird. Never again. Nice Hotel to Stay. Everyone was friendly and helpful. I truly enjoyed the beautiful country. I will visit again in the near future. Rooms were clean and updated. The customer service made sure that I received a ride to the airport safe.
