Great location on the clean beach and the overall facility is very nice. Food and alcoholic drinks were good quality and plentiful. Loads of swimming pools / swim up bars and beach bar good bar service Gardens well maintained and outside areas very clean We stayed at Hideaway (adult only area) and the reception staff are the worst I have ever experienced, it felt like they were doing us the favour by checking us in! We arrived at 18:30, our flight was an hour late, only to be greeted by “ you’re late”. No welcoming drinks after a very long journey. The receptionists were not helpful, questions that we asked were replied with ‘it’s on the App’. When booking we requested twin beds in one room. Upon arrival the rooms had a double bed and due to time of arrival had to go back to reception the following day to see if any other room was available. Again receptionists were unhelpful and the answer was always no, however their duty manager, Jenifer, was good and she helped us get the right type of room. Housekeeping was terrible - housekeeping only attends room once a day (no night turndown) our room was not attended to one day and reported this on the App, to reception by phone, and in person - no joy. Requested 5 times for a hair dryer, each time promised it would be addressed, in the end went and sat in reception until it was sorted. Most days the room was not serviced very well - used hand towels / face cloths / bath mat taken and not replaced or toiletries not replenished. Reported on App, they respond with approved but no towels/toiletries received. The Royalton App is very good for booking speciality restaurants, checking menus but the request facility is a waste of time. At different times we requested a hairdryer, toiletries to be replenished , towels, room to be serviced all without success, but the App always stated request “approved”. When completing reviews on the App eg Checking In Experience, we gave a poor review and the App said someone would contact us - I also said that I was happy to be contacted to discuss further - we were never contacted Had several conversations with other guests who all seemed to have similar experiences. Overall had a great holiday and the above shouldn’t put you off as their failings could so easily be sorted if the feedback was considered and addressed by the management. Read less

Last year, my husband and I fell in love with St. lucia, and the royalton was perfect for our 20th wedding anniversary. Clean, tidy, a great choice of restaurants, and overall, just amazing. The food portions can be on the small side, but you just order more than one dish. For me, it was enough! The rooms are great, clean and your beds are made daily. The balcony is perfect for your morning cup of tea (British). The staff.....they can not do enough for you. Tours.. we booked a few tours through the royalton, and wow....they were fab. Bamboo rafting, zip lines.....they were brilliant. St. lucia is a magical island, and the royalton was a perfect holiday destination. As I write this, I am laid on my bed while my son sleeps. My husband is a Dj, and he has just been invited to Dj at the Martini bar. We love you all, and we love your country. Read less

I have rated this resort as “average” based on it being ok up until the first weekend of our holiday - if I based it on the second week it would be lucky to get a “poor.” I will keep this as brief as possible (because the list is endless) Simply put - the resort is a mix of mis-managed, disorganised chaos with very little understanding of the term… Read more
I have rated this resort as “average” based on it being ok up until the first weekend of our holiday - if I based it on the second week it would be lucky to get a “poor.” I will keep this as brief as possible (because the list is endless) Simply put - the resort is a mix of mis-managed, disorganised chaos with very little understanding of the term “hospitality” and the level of service expected from a resort promoting itself as a 5 star / Autograph Collection hotel. Further, and I hate to say this, but there is a definite racist undertone to the place - I will return to this later. In general - broken locks and doors on toilets in the common areas - pools / bars / accomodations, lifts / elevators out of order for days / weeks. Having to constantly chase after housekeeping for replacement towels etc. Restaurants - other than Zen, Calypso and Grazie - the rest are a disorganised disaster with long waits to receive the wrong orders - Dorado (the Hideaway jewel in the crown) being the worst. I could go on but I will return to the crux - as with many resorts across the Caribbean - this one sells weekend passes, in principle I do not have an issue with this - but, this is directed personally at you “Lucia” whatever your role in the management of this mess is? - when you allow these people “from all walks of life” as you put it - uncontrolled access to exlusive Hideaway / Diamond Club areas and allow them to sit in the pools openly eating KFC food whilst smoking and being sick whilst your pool / bar staff do nothing - then I am afraid you are projecting an image that reflects very poorly on the general image of the rest of the island. When two of your weekend “visitors” tell me to “shut my fking mouth” scream “white N” at me and try to physically attack me - fortunately restrained by others - just for saying the bar (Aquarius) was closed - when they were abusing your bar tender “Anastasie” (check it with her) when she refused to serve them, and following a previouss incident when 5 of your weekend visitors abused another English tourist, then there is only one possible conclusion to be drawn. In a nutshell - this is not a 5 star resort - not even close - and for the price you can find much more upmarket exclusive resorts. It is an absolute shame because the island and its’ people away from the resort are amazing and friendly and do not deserve to be tarnished by people like you Lucia who are only interested in bed-occupancy at any cost!!!! Shocking. Read less

My wife and I, along with one other couple visited the Hideaway at Royalton St Lucia in October 2024. When comparing resorts, the nice photos and YouTube videos drove our decision to select this resort. When we arrived the check-in process was initially pleasant, but once we arrived at our room we noticed a heavy mildew smell as soon as we entered the door. In addition, our request for a king size bed wasn’t fulfilled as our room included 2 double beds. The smell was unbearable so we immediately left back out to go talk with the front desk. (During this time I noticed that the entrances to the steps and hallway areas did not appear well maintained.) Upon arriving back at the desk, we were told by the manager that she had been in our room earlier that day and didn’t notice a smell. She offered to have the room re-cleaned for us. After repeating that we didn’t feel comfortable staying in the room, she began looking for other options for us. After walking us back to our room on the 3rd floor, she stated although she couldn’t smell the odor, she agreed to change our room to the 5th floor. (I did notice white out was utilized to change my room number on the paperwork during check-in, so it makes me wonder the reason for the change and if someone else had already complained about that room smell earlier in the day.) We spent 5 days at the resort and the down escalator near the main lobby and buffet restaurant did not work for our entire visit. Also, the elevator in our building stopped functioning on day 4, and we had to utilize the staircase our last 2 days, including moving my luggage down 5 flights during checkout. Lastly during checkout, the bill of our friends included costs for a culinary experience that we did not attend. We were told that it would be removed from the bill but it wasn’t. In summary, the communication at this resort in combination with the lack of maintenance left a bad impression on us for our first time staying at a Royalton resort. I don’t believe we’ll be returning to Royalton in the future based on this experience. On the positive side the food was really good, especially the Tex Mex restaurant. Also there were a few really nice people that tried to make our stay enjoyable. Read less
