Welcome to your beachfront home away from home. With a freeform pool bar, it's the best place to enjoy those all inclusive drinks as you take a dip. It has a great choice of dining so make sure you reserve a table at the Amarta Mediterranean restaurant for dinner or try a delicious pizza and spaghetti which is considered a highlight of Mediterranean Cuisine. 127 rooms and suites on 3 floors in 1 building. All rooms have balcony/terrace, air-conditioning, cable TV, tea/coffee-making facilities, mini-bar*, fridge, safe and hairdryer. SOL Room Silver with double or twin beds, sleeping maximum 3 adults or 2 adults and 2 children.

All Inclusive Silver: the All Inclusive Silver package includes accommodation in a newly refurbished SOL Room Silver, buffet breakfast, lunch and dinner, with a wide à la carte choices at The Kitchen and Amarta restaurants. Snacks, soft drinks, unlimited local alcoholic beverages in any of the bars, Juice Corner 11:00am-6:00pm and 20% discount on imported drinks. Daily activities, evening entertainment and non-motorised sports. Daily restocking of the mini-bar filled with beer, juices, mineral water and soft drinks.

All Inclusive Gold: in addition to the SOL Junior Room, the All Inclusive Gold package includes accommodation in a newly refurbished Suite and wider selection of à la carte meal options. Special Balinese welcome, upgraded in-room amenities, one bottle of wine on arrival, one romantic dinner for two people (for stays of over 8 nights). 30% discount on imported drinks. Late check out to 6:00pm (subject to availability). Complimentary yoga, and bicycle hire.

SOL Junior Room are larger with a living area, separate guest toilet and spacious balcony, double or twin beds, sleeping maximum 3 adults or 2 adults and 2 children.

We had a lovely week at the Sol Melia. The family room is absolutely huge, with a massive upstairs bedroom where our teenagers slept, a large deck, and three toilets. The pool is not as large as some resorts but very quiet. The buffet dinners with entertainment were really good. The best thing about this resort is the staff - professional and very friendly. (Special mention to Annie and Dewa in The Kitchen restaurant). The Italian restaurant was excellent and staff there also lovely. Our son is learning Bahasa, and they were so keen to speak with him and help him. The mini-bar was pretty sparce for all-inclusive, and the a la carte restaurant was slow, although the food was good. We had a really enjoyable and very relaxing 2 weeks at Sol by Melia. We had some trepidation before we went, having read some negative comments on the Facebook page. We were so pleasantly surprised to find that we needn't have worried. Yes, maybe it is a little tired and some of the regulars have noticed it's gradual demise. However for our first visit to Bali we could not fault this hotel. We had a Junior Suite on the ground floor that looked onto a beautiful garden. The room was spacious and clean and the bed very comfortable. The pool was lovely and we spent many an hour in it, chatting to people and enjoying the drinks from the pool bar. The beach was nice enough, the tide goes out a long way making it very shallow but when it does come in the water was pleasant to swim in. It's a shame that, at times, there is a fair bit of plastic/rubbish in the sea but that's not the hotel's fault. We preferred to sit on the beach and then take the very short walk to the pool. The sunbeds by the pool were quite busy but we never had a problem finding one on the beach. The food was great, very tasty and a decent selection. We did find that the food was often quite cold but after mentioning this to the chef the problem was resolved the following day. The egg station at breakfast gets busy and could do with another person cooking but the omelettes were delicious. The staff at this hotel were superb. Extremely friendly and always willing to help. They could not do enough to make sure you had everything you wanted. We travel a lot and this was one of the most relaxing and comfortable hotels we've stayed in for a 2 week all-inclusive holiday. We didn't once get that "groundhog day, ready to go home now" feeling. If it wasn't for the long flight from the UK we would definitely go back but we have now ticked Bali off our list and are so happy that we chose Sol by Melia. Read less

We have just returned from our second stay for 10 days and have a 14 night booking in December 2024 as well. This is such a friendly and warm hotel, we feel part of the family now. Everyone tries so hard to ensure you are served well - always caring. A large proportion of the staff team have worked here for a long time - such as 25 years, that says something good to us. A big mix of guests, the many we spoke to have a similar feeling as we do about this hotel - all happy. We do realise the hotel is older but the staff team and value do more than make up for this. I feel openly that we are very happy and accepting people and do not look for problems in every situation - rather we find the good and compliment. Unfortuately some people expect too much in this world and treat others harshly. I thoroughly enjoyed being given the opportunity to join in with the blessing of the temple. My wife and I are missing our "Second Home" already. The kindness and smiles we have recieved during our stay is truly humbling. Excellent service! Had a complimentary upgrade to a huge duplex room on arrival. Nightly entertainment was fantastic! Staff were all extremely accommodating. Daughter vomited on bed one night and the staff cleaned it up, no complaints at all.
