My wife and I stayed at Maya Ubud Resort last week - for 5 nights. Excellent location and service. The property is spread over 10 ha or so, set amongst beautiful lawns and gardens. A river runs alongside the property and there is an energetic walk along the river to do. There is a spa / massage centre next to the river and it was great to have a massage and just listen to the sound of running water.
The staff were excellent. The air-conditioning in our unit developed a problem and we alerted the butler via the WhatsApp service. A staff member was at our unit within minutes and the problem was fixed whilst we were at afternoon tea. Using WhatsApp is a great way to communicate.
The restaurant staff were great as well.
All up, we were happy to spend all our time in the resort relaxing, at the pool, reading, walking, enjoying a cocktail, watching the Balinese dancing and dining. Lots of other activities available that we didn't get time to do (including yoga, meditation and a fitness centre).

60 min spa and flower bath

The 60min massage was incredible and the massage therapists were very lovely and kind. The massage included a foot scrub and a shower. The flower bath was magical.

We loved the 5 days that we spend here and only wish that it could have been longer. As soon as you come through the gates to the resort you see how beautiful the grounds are and how tranquil the resort is. We had a Heavenly Pool Villa and it was beautiful. It was so peaceful having our own space with a pool and garden. The moneys seemed to like the garden too but we soon got used to them. The bed was large and very comfy and I loved the outside shower. Breakfast was excellent and we liked that you could order eggs and omelettes and then go to the buffet. My husband loved the yogurts and cakes while I preferred the fried rice and curry options. We booked for the restaurant on our first night. It was lovely sitting out on the terrace and watching the traditional show in the restaurant. The food was very good and the waiters helped with options and recommendations. Prices were about average for hotels in Bali. We loved the show and the meal so much that we booked for the next 2 nights. The Tree View Bar is a great place for a drink before an evening meal especially during happy hour, and the singers were always very good. Complimentary afternoon tea is served in the restaurant late afternoon. The Bell Boys were brilliant. They arranged for the hotel car to take us into Ubud and they made sure that we were able to get wi-fi so we could message them when we wanted to come back. Ubud was only 5 minutes drive away. The whole resort is beautiful but the best thing about Maya Resort is the staff. From morning to night you are greeted with the biggest smiles and they were all so friendly and helpful. They took great pride in their work and all seemed proud to work at the hotel. If we come back to Ubud we will definitely be staying here again.

It is the best resort in Ubud. Especially if you are looking for exceptional spa, service and facility. I recommend pool villas. Attention and service is great. Resort concept is beyond the reality. Culinary experience is also great. I have been several times in Ubud and it is the best place I have been. I would definitely return and recommend
