Royal Orchid Sheraton Hotel & Towers

Another great stay! We had 2 rooms here. One on the 22nd floor for my 18 year old twins and 1 on the club floor (my husband is a platinum elite member so we got upgraded) our room was wonderful. Beautiful view, spacious. I particularly liked the bathroom which was modern and had a shower and separate bathtub. I’m not sure why some reviews said the hotel was dated. While it certainly wasn’t new (it has been around for a long time) I certainly didn’t find it run down or anything like that. My kids room also had a nice view of the river looking over at icon Siam. Their room not as nice as ours and a smaller bathroom (no tub) but was nice enough. The location is great being right on the river so you have easy access to ferry’s to grand palace and other sites. There is also a free hotel shuttle boat to icon Siam (there food area is amazing) as well as to the BTS station and pier to catch other boats. Outside the hotel there is also some great street stalls selling fruits, snacks and drinks all at great prices. Lastly great service. Pretty much everyone we encountered was helpful and friendly. At the club lounge they had a wonderful complimentary breakfast as well as drinks etc. the appetizers hour (i didn’t have any food) but it looked like way more than just appys you could have easily called it dinner. The view la from lounge also spectacular. Mr “A” or Nimit greeted us every morning at breakfast - super friendly and helped us arrange an early morning pickup to the airport. He also arranged for a breakfast box for us since it would have been too early for breakfast before our flight. The level Of service he gave us was amazing. We also had dinner 1 night at their buffet and our server Thomasat was constantly attentive to our needs. Are there fancier hotels along the river? Yes I think there are but Overall this hotels value for what you receive is tremendous. We stayed previously early 2020 and so opted to come back this time around and we certainly will stay there again. I highly recommend particularly if you are a Marriott bonvoy member. Read less

I absolutely love this hotel's stunning views, especially from the lounge area. Over the past six months, they have significantly improved the breakfast experience by adding more stations, offering an excellent selection of dishes. The variety and quality of the food are impressive, making mornings here a real treat. This hotel has become my go-to place in Bangkok, primarily due to its prime location. Whether for business or leisure, the convenience and comfort it offers are unmatched. The staff is also incredibly friendly and attentive, ensuring a pleasant stay every time. Short summary: 1) This time I also got upgraded to the same junior suite but at the higher floor (level 26), so no more transferring between elevator to visit the Sheraton Club which is great. 2) The hot water issue that I had last time seems not occuring anymore (most likely it specific to the previous room I had). 3) All associates are very friendly and attentive. Great service, especially in the Sheraton Club. 4) The river view both from my room and Sheraton Club is still great. Overall, it's still great hotel and I'll definitely comeback again. However, I do still wish there are some refurbishement project coming ;) Read less

We spent an incredible week at the Orchid Sheraton in Bangkok and it was all thanks to the amazing staff. Aunyamanee at the reception desk was extremely helpful and her beautiful smile was noticed by all. Watcharaphon, also at the reception, was kind and always willing to assist us. It was because of these friendly and accommodating staff members that we truly felt at home during our stay. Despite the hotel being busy, the staff still managed to take great care of us. A special thanks to the housekeeping team who always ensured our room was clean and comfortable. The breakfast buffet was also outstanding, with a wide variety of delicious food to choose from. We also enjoyed taking the Sheraton boat to cross over to the Icon Siam shopping center. The staff on the boat were equally as great as the rest of the staff at the hotel. We highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Bangkok. Read less

I booked this hotel as the room rate was reasonable but my stay was far above my expectation. - View: the view from the room and from the club lounge is just wonderful. You can enjoy watching the Icon Siam fountain show(7pm, 8pm & 9pm every day) and also the Asiatique fireworks(not sure of the schedule. I only saw it once during my 9 nights stay) from the club lounge. And the room was nicely renovated & very clean (Shout out to the housekeeping team) - Free shuttle boat: the free shuttle boat to and from Icon Siam and Saphan Taksin bts station (Sathorn pier) is a big plus. I could go everywhere I wanted. You can ride the boat before check in and also after check out of course with your luggages. The boat attendant helps you with the luggages. - Breakfast: it was not super delicious but there was a variety of choices. - Swimming pools: I enjoyed 2 swimming pools (you'd better go to the swimming pool after 4 PM as you can swim in the shade) - Staffs: the hotel of course has nice staffs. I take this opportunity to thank them: Ms. Patcharaporn & Ms. Pattamawadee: they did listen to my requests very carefully in a super polite way and took care of our comfortable stay. I & my husband enjoyed our stay as being a titanium elite member. Mr. Thitipat: He is just wonderful. I talked to him briefly just once but from that moment, he remembered my name and greeted me each and every time when he sees me with a big smile. He knows exactly what he needs to do as being the first person who meet the guest. Ms.Tiwaphorn: I was so happy that Ms. Tiwaphorn was there to take care of me. I loved to talk with her seeing her smiling & kind face. She always responded very quickly to every request I asked her. Mr. Yusron and Mr. Ponchai: I did not talk with them much but I felt ensured when they were nearby me. They did their job correctly with kind manner knowing exactly what the guests want. I also thank Ms. Chonnikan for taking care of us with the almond croissant. I will definitely go back to this hotel. Read less
