Deluxe Pool Access Rooms, with 1 king-size bed or 2 double beds sleeping 3 adults.

Amazing stay at the centara Ao nang from start to finish. Beautiful spacious and clean room, fresh towels daily. Friendly and attentive staff throughout the hotel. A nice couple of nights in a convenient location with a good breakfast. We had rooms 5303 (Premier Deluxe King) & 5304 (Premier Deluxe Double Double). Both rooms a great size and very clean. A nice couple of nights in a convenient location with a good breakfast. We had rooms 5303 (Premier Deluxe King) & 5304 (Premier Deluxe Double Double). Both rooms a great size and very clean. Shower drain blocks up a little too quick and causes more water to come out on floor but not flooded, and I've noticed this a lot over 20 years of staying in the south. Decently good breakfast, various Thai, Indian and vegetarian options, along with the usual western options, egg station, and bakery and fruit stations. Didn't use the pool or any facilities as this was a base to take boat and beach trips. In all honesty it was the best bang for our buck hotel stay in the Krabi region, and probably the best value in the decades I've been coming. While our stay at the Sofitel up the road a ways was luxury, the value, i.e., the price paid for what we had vs what we used, Centara was better value, but the stays were for different reasons. Staff blast music at breakfast, they will only turn it down after you call reception, is it supposed to be a party at 6:30 am??? Staff blast music at breakfast, they will only turn it down after you call reception, is it supposed to be a party at 6:30 am??? Management books private events and there is loud music reaching any room you stay in. No care shown for guests. No bathrobes and hair on the floor that is not yours. Dirty worn slippers by previous occupants in room, no bathrobes. only one umbrella provided per room and when you ask for a second umbrella, reception tries to convince you "is big enough" before reluctantly agree to give you a second umbrella. Reception staff here the most unwelcoming I ever met in my travels. You ask to speak to manager and no manager will ever contact you. You are promised by reception staff to be contacted back, they never call back. What do you expect from staff who cannot be bothered to offer you a welcome drink at check in until 2 hours AFTER you checked in and only because you pass through reception and see others enjoying cold towels and welcome drinks? I understand we checked in a bit earlier but are they really not bothered about how they welcome guests? FYI if you check in early here, there is no effort to give you the room until 3 pm, the actual check in time. They carried on construction work removing a part of the stage to remove more sun lounges to fit in more tables for restaurant, did welding amongst all of us tourists on the beach and pool and when I challenged this via travel agent because the hotel ignored my requests to speak to the manager, their response was to lie and deny any work on their premises. We then sent videos. Now there are only 16 sun lounges on the beach, the rest are by the pools. We asked to be moved to another hotel with full refund on our 3rd day, but travel agent dragged their heels after they sold this hotel to us as "serene tropical getaway" and said Centara only agreed 2 nights refund. We are now seeking legal advice to get full refund for our 7 nights in this hotel that somehow is rated 4 stars!!! Breakfast: chaos and messy, loud, kids running all over the place or crying while parents pretend not to see or hear them. Thin walls. you can hear what people next door say and some guests blast their TV's at night. Good luck sleeping. Smell of sewage all over the resort, is worse when it rains. Be warned, if you seek a quiet place with staff who actually care about guests, do not stay here!!! Read less
