The hotel

The Centara Grand Beach Resort & Villas Krabi occupies its own private bay at Pai Plong, backed by soaring cliffs and fronted by a white sand beach. The buildings nestle in abundant tropical foliage, with a large pool complex in the centre. The beautifully decorated and generously proportioned rooms feature crisp white linens and contrasting dark wood floors and have windows that perfectly frame both the garden and sea view rooms. Where is it

On the beachfront at Pai Plong Bay, a 15-minute ride from Ao Nang. Transfer time from Krabi Airport: 40 minutes by road and boat (weather dependent).

Deluxe Garden View Rooms have balcony overlooking the resort’s gardens, with either 1 king-size bed or 2 double beds, sleeping maximum 2 adults or 2 adults and 1 child.

Deluxe Ocean Facing Rooms have partial ocean views, with either 1 king-size bed or 2 double beds, sleeping maximum 3 adults, or 2 adults and 2 children.

Premium Deluxe Ocean Facing Rooms are slightly larger with a fully furnished living/dining balcony with spectacular views, and either 1 king-size bed or 2 double beds, sleeping maximum 3 adults, or 2 adults and 2 children.

Spa Deluxe Garden View Rooms have a private Jacuzzi on their balconies, with either 1 king-size bed or 2 double beds, sleeping maximum 3 adults or 2 adults and 2 children.

Spa Deluxe Ocean Facing Rooms have a private Jacuzzi on their balconies and a signature king-size bed, sleeping maximum 3 adults or 2 adults and 2 children.

1-Bedroom Beachfront Villa, set right on the beach with ocean views, separate bedroom and oversized signature king-size bed, personal CD/DVD player and in-house films, sleeping maximum 3 adults or 2 adults and 1 child, (rollaway bed for third person).

1-Bed Ocean Facing Villa with pool, is slightly larger than the Beachfront Villa, and has uninterrupted views of the ocean, with a 15 sq m pool, sleeping maximum 3 adults or 2 adults and 1 child (rollaway bed for third person).

2-Bedroom Villas are set right on the beach ideal for sunset views, have a separate bedroom, living and dining room, 2 TVs, CD/DVD Player and furnished sun terrace, with an oversized king-size bed and 2 double beds, sleeping maximum 5 adults or 4 adults and 3 children (rollaway bed for 7th person).

Royal Villa which is very large and luxurious with a private entrance and lobby, 2 bathrooms, outdoor dining and lounging salas and direct access to a private pool, with an oversized king-size bed and 2 double beds, sleeping maximum 5 adults or 4 adults and 3 children (rollaway bed for 7th person).

Can’t say enough about the property location & beach, they both are AMAZING!!! The breakfast buffet was included with my reservation and was very good. I’d recommend 1-2 night stay. Any longer and the property deficiencies become more noticeable and apparent. It would be beneficial for Centra to invest in the room accommodation infrastructure.

Such a lovely place - beautiful vistas, clean, well decorated rooms, lovely staff, lots to do. You actually really don't want to leave to go try things around Krabi!

Had a few issues with staff saying water was un safe then being told after buying a $4 bottle of water that it was safe. Then had refrigerator go out and maintenance cam and said it was dead and i needed a new one. Had medication in it so left it in as I was told it would be replaced ASAP. The ladies at the spa are amazing! We have returned to get massages multiple times because we couldn’t get enough. Jun and beou especially. Professional and gives the best massages Would highly recommend to friends and family to stay. Xxxx

A very disappointing stay at Centara Grand Beach Resort & Villas in June 2024. Our stay started off on a bad note - there are time slots as to when the hotel boat shuttles take you from the pier to the hotel. We had to wait outdoors for over an hour, until the boat was ready to take us. The boat was crammed with other hotel guests amongst all our luggage - a safety hazard of note! When we arrived at the hotel - our initial impressions set the tone for the rest of our stay. No welcome, a terrible rather slow and rude check in process with inadequate personal manning the desks. The hotel location is beautiful with amazing views, however let down by an aging, rather dilapidated resort. Our room, a premium sea view with Jacuzzi, was a falling apart. Blinds were broken on our balcony, preventing us to enjoy the beautiful views, our hot water tap in our bathroom was broken (did end up getting fixed on day 1), no Wi-Fi as our room was booked incorrectly (eventually IT fixed the problem).... the room has potential but old and in serious need of some love and attention. Food and drink ok, however way overpriced, compared to other 5* hotels, such as Hyatt Koh Samui (where we stayed the week before). All in all. Disappointing. Location 8/10. Service 4/10. Room 6/10.
