The hotel

Step out of the modern lobby and you're just steps from the sandy shores of central Fort Lauderdale beach, where the hotel have a beach concierge on hand to tend to your needs. You can even pick up a carefully curated picnic basket beforehand at Honey Fitz to take with you! Speaking of food and drink, you can enjoy delicious meals back at Evelyn's Restaurant, accompanied by elevated ocean views. But if you're looking for something more casual then the poolside dining is for you. Take a dip in one of the two pools on the ocean sun deck, then enjoy some fresh seafood and an innovative cocktail from the comfort of your sun bed. Make sure to check out the hotel's complimentary activities, from barista classes to tequila tasting - there's plenty of fun to be had. And the same can be said for the little ones too. The kid's club is also based on the sun deck, and with scavenger hunts and arts and crafts just the tip of the list, they'll be entertained for hours. Hours in which you can spend in the spa, the salon, or simply just sunbathing with a good book. Whilst you're on the doorstep of central beach, why not use the complimentary bicycles to take a ride down to Las Olas Beach, and the boulevard, famous for it's cuban influences, which are reflected in the many shops, bars, and restaurants that line the area.

recently stayed at the Four Seasons Fort Lauderdale and I must say my stay was spectacular. I’m currently checking to see what weekend I can fit in my next staycation at the property. We were welcomed by Drake at reception, very attentive young man. He quickly checked us in, and offered us a welcome drink. As that was happening I hear my 10 month old clapping behind me. When I turn around he is being presented 3 options from a wooden boat filled with TY animals. Absolutely adorable! Jose then helped us with our luggage and gave us a tour of the room. He was so nice as well. We saw him throughout the next 4 days and he always greeted us by name. Nichole who is part of in-room dining was also great. She even had a high chair sent up to the room for us to enjoy breakfast on the balcony. The pool staff was again nothing short of great! We had Stephanie help us with our chairs and she was constantly checking to see how we were doing. I did go to the spa during my stay, very enjoyable, and I was offered a glass of champagne in honor of my birthday. The breakfast was our favorite meal on property. Rooms were very comfortable and spacious. We did ask for a crib, and it was the best quality crib I’ve seen thus far. Our son slept perfectly, as if he was at home. ( this wasn’t the case a few weeks ago at a different hotel where they gave us a pack and play as a crib) Along with the crib they had a baby towel, baby bath products, a diaper genie, and little swimmers delivered with the crib. It felt very well thought out and detailed. I am truly impressed with my stay at the hotel and even more impressed with the service. All the employees seem to really enjoy working there. Read less

Four Seasons continues to outshine its competitors. What sets the brand apart from its competitors is its high attention to detail and intention. Four Seasons meticulously places their hotels in prime real-estate locations, away from the commotion and high traffic but easily accessible to desirable attractions, like the beach. The beach is less than one minute from the entrance of the hotel, directly across the street. The Four Seasons beach attendants were friendly and anticipated our needs, which is an indicator of good hospitality training. Relationship management. The Fort Lauderdale staff shined in this area. My Amex booked me for a double bed, which was not what I booked. Four Seasons Management was incredibly accommodating. Since I was celebrating a special occasion they upgraded my room two levels up to deluxe ocean. The entire property is immaculately kept and the rooms are pristine. The Four Seasons beds are the most comfortable in the industry. Everything is carefully thoughtful with the guest's comfort as a top priority. Shout out to Johnny, he manages the on-site restaurant, Evelyn’s. He made sure the kitchen accommodated our vegan dietary restrictions and he's just a beautiful spirit. Every business needs a Johnny. Needless to say, we will be returning to the Four Seasons, Fort Lauderdale! Read less

We were looking forward to a wonderful stay. Sadly, it was anything but. We were recently back from the Four Seasons Serengeti and expecting a similar experience. We are or were loyal Four Seasons customer having stayed at many properties around the world. I am beginning to think that the hotels in Europe and Asia are far superior to the US. The minute we drove up there was confusion as to even where to go. There's quite a hairpin turn when you drive in and another straight ahead. Poor signage not letting you know where check in was. We went straight which seemed to be for residents. We still don't know and even after 8 days there never got a definitive answer. Check in was equally confusing. We were directed to one desk while our friends who were traveling with us were at another. Our room was ready, but theirs was not. When we entered our room there was a welcoming note on the desk and a card about some lovely candy. The note had someone else's name on it and no candy plate in sight. We now began to think we were given the wrong suite but were told it was the correct suite and they would resolve the note and candy issue. The Suite: Most uncomfortable. Spartan living area with a very small occasional table you could barely put a drink on. No ottoman or coffee table. Couch very uncomfortable as well. No pillows or throws. A long counter was the only place with small shelves underneath. No table for dining if you were to order room service or bring something back to your suite. They did bring us a coffee table so remember that if you want one. The closets were many, so many you forgot where your things were. 2 had sets of drawers. The closet doors were so high you had to be an NBA player or the Jolly Green Giant if you wanted to hang something to air, these were in the living area. there is a dresser with drawers. Not sure how well they clean as I found the card to have the sheets changed under the nightstand, and an eye glass cleaning rag under there too. Maybe they don't to change the sheets. No privacy in the living room as the people next doors balcony looked directly into your living room, really close. You have to close the drapes. The Bathroom: Sinks were so hard to use. Faucets set too far back and the towel rack in front of each made it impossible to lean over to even wash your hands. Our friends room was the same. Hair dryer was in a box that could not open without removing it from the shelf. Shower not bad but, pressure a little low and the handheld way too low if you don't like a rain can the only other choice. Heavy glass door to toilet area and too large. I stubbed my toe so many times that I just couldn't close it anymore. Turndown was done only if we asked and our friends first service was not done until 9:30 PM even though they requested it several time. They only stayed 2 nights, we stayed 8 The Bed: It was comfortable, but the bedding was not. We do not like comforters and requested blankets. They put 2 twin and 1 king on the bed. It was such a mess and looked like we had wrestled alligators. I looked under the sheet and couldn't believe it. Even in Africa we got king blankets. We got this sorted out and got the king blankets only to find when they changed the bed, they put the twin ones back on. We were so angry as we discovered this when we returned from dinner ready to go to bed. The manager came up and argued with me that he never saw king blankets and they only had twin ones that they use for the couches, but not our couch. The next day the housekeeper who knew about the king blankets re-did the room with the king blankets. Pillows were good. The pool: Lounge chairs so close you are sitting on top of the person next to you. Adult pool and children's pool so close you could hear all the noise from the kids. Prices crazy for a burger or wrap 36.00. If there is any wind they will not put up umbrellas and say it is a safety isssue. That was every day we were there. The manager, a nasty woman Kristin, argued with me when the attendant put the umbrella up. She quickly folded it back down and was so rude. We were so mad that she relented and gave us a daybed. usually, $200.00 on the weekday which this was. We did rent one $400.00 for the weekend. You get a plate of nachos and a bottle of wine. When we got the bill they charged us for both and again we had an issue with Kristin regarding some of the charges. Also, these pools are for residents as well. So really crowded. We are very disappointed in Four Seasons and as result of this poor stay, we have cancelled our reservation for Las Vegas. It has disaster written all over it with bad reviews and only one restaurant that is only open 2 or 3 nights. We see no reason to be loyal to this brand as they don't seem that concerned about us. Oh, and we finally got the candy but not a new note addressed properly to us. We are also still dealing with our bill that no one can explain and are trying to have American Express resolve it. Don't charge people almost $800.00 and have no explanation for it. Watch your charges including at the pool. I will review the disastrous Evelyn's restaurant separately. I must give Shane a shout out. He is a valet and very helpful and nice. He could train the pool manager how to treat customers. Read less

We were hosted during the Formula 1 Grand Prix weekend in Miami. Everything was perfect, starting from the staff's welcome and the cleanliness of the rooms and the hotel in general. The pool area was clean, and the employees were at our service, especially the section overlooking the beach. The staff exceeded our expectations at every level.
