Building work everywhere ...

Building work everywhere.
I go out on the balcony in the morning and can hear building,
Then we have a very good breakfast.
We then go to relax by the pool, building work in the property next door, lose the sun by the pool, so go to sit on the balcony overlooking the marina, room 1017, lovely and sunny, to the sound of building work!

Don't get me wrong, the hotel and staff are very nice, but unless you're coming to a building convention, I wouldn't bother at the moment.
I have to wear hearing aids & have to turn them right down, as they pick up machinery, Then I can't hear the family, so annoying.
It's the start of our 25th wedding celebrations, going to find somewhere quiet in a couple of days time.

We stayed at the Maren in Ft. Lauderdale Nov 9 - 12 for one room and Nov 9 - 13 for the other room. One of the days they did not clean my room. The hotel did reimburse me the resort fee for that date. My room had a balcony, which I paid extra for, however you could not sit out there, it was so tiny. Seriously we could not fit. My sons had a different room and although the balcony was small, it could fit 2 people. I cannot believe that I was charged extra for that balcony. There was a leak in the ceiling in the lobby, so they were constantly mopping with wet floor signs out. The outdoor furniture by the lobby was badly stained. Overall, I have to say the experience was fine just not up to the standards that I thought a Curio Hilton collection would be.
The staff were very friendly and polite. I did love the beach area and the chairs that were available. The beach staff were also really great. Actually, all the staff were really nice and helpful including the restaurant. We did not eat there but had drinks.

10/10 super friendly and accommodating staff! Ryan and Chakira are fantastic. Definitely gave a personalized touch. Felt safe and comfortable. Literally steps from the beach, the happy hour was also super nice. Loved the free bike rentals too. The saddest part was checking out.
Top notch experience

Best view-best food

The view is superb, but the excellence continues. We sat at the bar overlooking quaint outside dining and beach as far as the eyes could see. We split the SHRIMP MAREUS, and it was a delicious surprise. Try it! Try this hotel! Try this restaurant! I bet coming here to dine will become a tradition for both you and the friends with whom you love…
