When we arrived after a long day of travel with children, our rooms were not ready. We waited in the lobby for hours until the rooms were ready past the regular check-in time. When we arrived after a long day of travel with children, our rooms were not ready. We waited in the lobby for hours until the rooms were ready past the regular check-in time. The line to check-in took over 20 minutes only to be told our rooms weren't ready. When the rooms were finally ready they weren't connecting as requested. We then had to wait additional hours for the rooms, which were then ready almost 3 hours after check-in time. The staff members at the front desk had to call for a manager multiple times and couldn't even look us in the eye knowing how poorly our vacation was starting. When we finally arrived in the rooms, one had a terrible paint smell that took hours to go away. The manager told us that he would provide extra points to our account for the troubles, but none were given and we did not want to wait and go through all the pain again with front desk staff that weren't friendly. The pool is beautiful but had to put our names on a waiting list for chairs, this is ridiculous given the price point of the hotel. We will think twice before we return again and might need to look for other hotels in the area. Read less

Everything was truly wonderful at the resort. The hospitality, accommodations and close proximity to excellent restaurants were amazing, from guest services to the valet team Johnnie, Drew, Rocco, Cesar and Jeff. We will definitely spend time here again!

Johnie and Will were great! Vinoy valet service is efficient and courteous. They run a great service! Even though the hotel was busy, I never had to wait more than 5 minutes for them to retrieve my vehicle! Great hotel and great staff. Best place to stay in St Pete.

Unfortunately the night crew on Halloween at VERANDA clearly had zero intention of working and the night manager (female) and veranda bar staff acted like they OWNED the VINOY and we were low life intruders that were putting her and her staff out because we wanted to buy drinks during hours the bar was open. THEN she removed our full drinks including TWO NINE YEAR BOURBONS and threw them away while we were talking to another table. Manager had to replace them! Made it painfully clear that she wanted us to leave. Too bad sis, we paid to stay here, and will use the bar during open hours. We bought three bottles of wine (because bartender told us he didn’t want to serve drinks and took his sweet time so people would leave. Waited on us ONLY AFTER we demonstrated we were hotel guests). While the bar was open, the female manager and the bar staff hovered over us, asking if we were done, insisting they would take our unopened bottles. Passive aggressive moves like turning off all the candles on the tables . I finally had to ask the male bar staff why people were acting like us spending money as paying guests was so off putting to the staff. Staff acted like they were royalty and we, the paying guests, were beneath them. Insulting and highly inappropriate attitude. Made to feel unwelcomed *while spending money*, by your night staff at Veranda on 10-31 after 10:00 pm. I’m at a complete loss for why the staff would be so put out to WORK for hotel guests. Maybe we were too young, maybe we were too fun, maybe not old enough and typical rich Florida tourist enough! Spa was wonderful and two ladies who gave massages were amazing. Building and touches thereto are great. Veranda night staff puts a damper on the experience or desire to return. Read less

The hotel rooms were nice , but the had only two restaurants, neither of which was good. We went there for a tennis weekend, but unfortunately the tennis courts were not well maintained. We will not return. For a three star hotel, we were very disappointed.
