The front desk and restaurant staff provided excellent customer service during my Jun 27 - Jul 1, 2024 stay at the Tampa Marriott Water Street Hotel. I would like to specifically thank front desk staff Qiana and Larissa and restaurant staff, Luz, for a job well done!

Disappointed. I am a titanium member and always clean my room before the maid gets there and always tipped $20 left on my bed. Came back to my room last night and found it not touched by the maid. Spent a lot of money on the room and food for a room not to be made up. Went to the front desk and ask for the manager. She told me she would take care… Read more

First time in 40 years of being a happy loyal Marriott customer and I am definitely disappointed in this property. Read less

My husband and I stayed at Marriott Water Street for a long weekend getaway. We arrived earlier than expected, and upon check-in found out that our room was available, which was wonderful so we could freshen up. The room was spacious and we had a nice view of the bay. While sitting in our room, suddenly there was strange noises coming from the sink. Shortly after a knock on the door with maintenance telling us they were working on a clog and the room adjacent and the sink pipes were adjacent to each other so they needed to take a look at ours as well. As they started to work on it, suddenly the sink started to leak and he called down to the front desk to let them know that they were going to have to move our room. We had about 15 minutes until we had to leave for our reservation for dinner and the staff downstairs quickly located a room for us that again was very spacious and nice view of the bay and this time we had a balcony. Wonderful! This room also had bathroom noises. After we retuned from dinner and during the night, the toilet kept making flushing noises that were loud enough to wake me at least 4 times. It almost sounded as if the adjacent room toilet was flushing and ours was somehow affected. This could be heard on and off while we were in the room. We thought of reporting it in the morning, but really didn’t want to be moved to a third room. The staff had already given us a small credit and some points for the inconvenience of moving to another room. We decided we would wait and let the staff know at checkout which we did. The staff member seemed to note it, but also just kind of brushed it off. We had a nice lunch and a few drinks at Anchor and Brine, definitely recommend taking in a meal here. The bartenders and the staff were wonderful. The food was delicious and the view was nice as well. We had a dinner at Lona and that was a bit to be desired. We were sat in the back near a golfing experience, even though we had a reservation and there were plenty of other tables available. It sort of ruined the atmosphere and the experience for us. The server was very short and un attentive. The food was OK, nothing special, the cocktails were good. I would pass on this particular restaurant. We took advantage of the delicious breakfast brunch buffet. The waitress was beyond friendly, the food was delicious. We did get a chance to head over to the JW Marriott at the attached property. we had a wonderful cocktail tasting at the bar at six. The bartender was wonderful. The view from up there was nice as well. Overall, our experience at both properties made for a wonderful weekend. Very clean, friendly staff, spacious rooms, very nice view, and a variety of restaurant and bar options to choose from on property. There are also plenty of other restaurants and bars that are in walking distance. We would certainly return despite the issues with the two rooms we were given. Read less
Image of the Tripadvisor rating Sleep Quality = Zero; Beautiful Hotel, Great location

Jun 1, 2024 GC2030 Pennsylvania

The thermostat is on a sensor. As a result, my sleep quality was horrible. It’s a beautiful hotel and a great location, but I would not stay again. I attended a conference, and I was exhausted because the room was so warm. It’s a shame because the hotel is beautiful and it’s a fantastic location.
