The hotel

There’s a certain seaside feel at the revamped Cadillac Hotel & Beach Club – and it doesn’t just come from its location, virtually anchored to the sands and boardwalk of Miami Beach. Its guestrooms are decked out in cool whites, greys, and navy blues for a refreshing coastal feel; while the finishing touches have a hint of the Art Deco heritage this ocean-skirting oasis is famous for. The latest hotel to make it into Marriott’s Autograph Collection, when you return hungry from the beach, or a dip in its two pools, or shopping in the nearby Design District, the Cadillac’s new restaurant welcomes you back with crispy rustic pizzas straight from its wood-fired oven, while the mixologist at its oceanfront bar shakes you their signature cocktails.

Where is it

On Miami Beach, a 30-minute walk or 5-minute taxi ride from the main Art Deco area along a wooden boardwalk. Driving time from Miami International Airport: 25 minutes.

357 rooms and Suites on 14 floors in 2 buildings (Cadillac Tower and Ocean Tower). All with air-conditioning, flatscreen TV, pay-per-view movies*, WiFi, telephone, mini-fridge, tea/coffee maker, bottled water, safe and iron and board. Standard City View rooms have 1 king-size or 2 queen-size beds, sleeping maximum 4 adults or 2 adults and 2 children.

Ocean View rooms have 1 king-size or 2 queen-size beds, sleeping maximum 4 adults or 2 adults and 2 children. 

Oceanfront Rooms have direct views of the Atlantic Ocean, with 1 king-size or 2 queen-size beds, sleeping maximum 4 adults or 2 adults and 2 children.Oceanfront King Suites are spacious rooms with separate living area as well as 1 king-size bed, sleeping maximum 3 adults.

The beach and a selection of restaurants, bars and cafés are all within walking distance. Valet parking $42 plus tax per night (payable locally, subject to change).

Red flag that you cannot see more than 10 reviews on their website. I had a very disappointing stay at this hotel back in August. The remodel of this historic hotel was done on the cheap, and as a result, the rooms are poorly designed with no storage or hanging towels near the sink and a sink faucet that did not properly line up to the sink (so they just installed the faucet too far away from the sink so that it just spilled all over the counter and was difficult to use). The room door had holes in it where they removed safety locks, just very sloppy overall. Not the friendliest pool staff, and not a lot of chairs around the hotel or outdoor common space. We were also completely gaslit by Cadillac staff after our stay when they told me that my 70+ yo mother's experience in another room on the same floor was inaccurate. During our trip, my mother reported to us that she was awoken by a fire alarm in the middle of the night and that it went off for several hours leaving her and her husband unable to sleep. The hotel insisted essentially that it was just a few minutes and then they determined that it was a false alarm, and no harm no foul. Horrible customer service when I called to complain about my mother's experience. I would never go back there, and highly recommend the W South Beach instead. Read less

I have been over charged by double as I paid through BA holidays then charged again. No one is getting back to me. This is a nice hotel but communication is dire and severely lacking. We were treated ok but not as well as visiting cabin crew and pilots. We were given a tiny room although my BA voucher stipulated a room upgrade. I was promised a room upgrade and never received it They totally ignored my BA voucher and over charged me by double Breakfast was ok and I even got asked for my room number 3 times by 3 members of staff at check in ….zero communication between staff The beach attendees were rude . Actively removing sunshades if you don’t agree to the 35 dollar charge Maids don’t refresh bathroom products or coffee . The hotel was beautiful as well as the service. my pool attendant Valentin Garbino made sure i was comfortable and was at my services whenever needed. love this hotel.this was a great experience for me and my friends. will definitely be coming back.
