Faena Hotel Miami Beach

Miami Beach, Miami

Virgin rating

The hotel

Daring to be different, yet featuring enough deco-detailing to make the grade in Miami, this five star retreat may be all cool white and slick lines on the outside, but inside it’s filled with sumptuous velvety reds, glitzy golds, and warm woods and leather: nowhere more so than in its very own theatre, an opulent cabaret venue with a nod to the grand old opera houses of Europe’s capitals. The dining’s just as decadent, ranging from the modern Asian creations of master chef Paul Qui, in the ocean view Pao restaurant, to the live-fire Argentine cooking of renowned South American chef Francis Mallman, at Los Fuegos. They’ve even thrown in a sand-skirting location on Miami Beach, a luxury spa, and an oceanfront pool and sunbathing deck.

I visited the Spa at Faena Tierra Santa and got to enjoy the amenities before my amazing 90 min massage by Alejandro Cardona! Wow talk about healing hands! I look forward to return! The welcome reception team was so friendly and genuine while they helped me book! I wish they would grant access to the pool area or add a jacuzzi to spa goers.

It's our second time that my family and I have stayed at Faena. A great hotel to stay, indeed...both luxurious and full of art. Faena pool has a nice setting with its candy-striped umbrellas and heated pool. Faena pool has a nice setting with its candy-striped umbrellas and heated pool. For entertainment, as much as I enjoy the atmosphere at The Living Room, I find Saxony Bar to be more private, where one can get to enjoy the live DJ performance. Diego is very good with his music. Last but not the least, the bellmen at Faena are all very attentive and heplful. I'd like to thank Louis and his Turkish colleague for their service during our stay in June. Looking foward to being back at Faena. Read less

I usually don’t go out of my way to leave reviews but I just wanted to come on here to say Arif treated me with utmost respect and kindness. Faena’s mood was built upon servers like him and his smile that would light up when guest are asking for assistance. These are the little things in the hotel stay that truly mean the most and when looking back, Arif’s friendly personality always found a way to strengthen Faena’s positive atmosphere. He has my word for being one of the best employees I have had the pleasure to encounter. Read less

We had the best staycation. Everyone makes you feel so special and at home. The room was great and the amenities even better. We enjoyed the brunch at Los Fuegos and dinner at Pao. All the servers were amazing ! Also, we left a bag in the lobby and security helped us find it and get it back!

Coming to Faena is like being dropped into an alternative universe. It’s like Alice in Wonderland. There is no reason to leave once you get there. It was my first time and I traveled with girlfriends. We attended the Allure show, ate in all the restaurants, attended the yoga class and danced in the Living Room lounge. Faena has everything you need and taps into all the senses. The hotel is beautiful. You can see that no corner was cut. The decor is stunning — Eccentric but not overdone. The food is excellent from Pao to the beach menu. And the service is over the top excellent. The staff is always around to be helpful and they do it with a smile. But it’s different - they seem happy to work there. So I asked a couple people including a bellman and a pool server and they both said the hotel is a great place to work. “They treat us well. We have a great team.” That energy is pervasive. The place just has a great feel. Next - it’s 5 stars and yes expensive no doubt. But - they don’t nickel and dime you once there. And finally - no pretension. Have you ever been to a luxury hotel and they make you feel like you’re lucky to be in their presence - or at least that’s the vibe of the crowd? Not here. It was just a chill, fun and warm atmosphere with no pretension. A few shout outs - thank you Chiara (front desk), Derek (security) and Maurice (beach service) for being so great. And if you go, the Allure show is an absolute must. Definitely pay extra to be at the tables along the stage. Worth it! 100% coming back but not with my kids. Perfect spot for couples and friends. I’ll take my kids elsewhere! Read less
