An inspiring oceanfront beach retreat, the Royal Palm offers modern, vibrant living whilst keeping intact many signature elements of the original Art Deco design. Rooms are gorgeous, with stunning city or ocean views, rich linen robes to relax in and organic bath products. When you’re not out and about sightseeing or strutting your stuff down at the beach, relax by one of the two pools, a cocktail in one hand, a good book in the other. There are restaurants all around you but for good eats you don't need to leave the hotel. From casual poolside dining at the Grove to the exciting flavours of the Middle East at Byblos - there's something to suit all tastes. Palm Island Bar is great for a sundowner, particularly at the weekend with the live DJ music to groove to.

Nice hotel with beach and pool access. Breakfast at the cookery was delicious. Our server Esterland and JP were wonderful. She was very attentive and an excellent server. The service at the beach was wonderful too. Very convenient to lots of restaurants especially the ones on Espinosa Way.
Wonderful beach experience!

Harryson Remarais was wonderful!
He made my stay at the beach a fantastic experience!
The hotel is a little worn but still a good value.
The best beach crew however makes up for it, and more!
You’re sitting on a beach right next to the Lowe’s hotel that charges three times as much. And this is a Marriott so it’s still packed by a great chain.
Great service

The hotel has a great location. The first room we were in left much to be desired. Very small, nowhere to really unpack and various other issues. However after one night we went to the checkin desk with our complaints and were given a beautiful room with all the amenities. Much appreciated and well worth it. Great service!
Thanks Harrison

I’ve stayed at Royal Palm over the years and the experience is consistent. This visit was no different, especially at the beach. The atmosphere was relaxing. Harrison stood out with his outstanding assistance, going above and beyond to make our beach day perfect. He helped set up chairs, arranged towels, and inquired on if we needed umbrellas to provide enough shade. His professionalism and friendly attitude truly made a difference, adding a personal touch to our stay.

Disaster Class - Avoid!

While I rarely review, this was such a poor experience, it had to be documented.
The hotel room was musty and sticky. The towers were not clear / crusty. There is plastic in the hallways due to an apparent renovation (which was not divulged prior to our arrival).

The hotel room was musty and sticky. The towers were not clear / crusty. There is plastic in the hallways due to an apparent renovation (which was not divulged prior to our arrival).
On top of this, there was a beeping / alarm from another room that went off consistently every morning (and during the day) of our over 3-day stay. Unclear what the three beeps were, but it was impossible to sleep.
While the location is strong and the beach chairs were nice enough (despite terrible beach drink service and only being given a tiny towel - a.k.a. being forced to be exposed to the unclean, used portion of the beach chairs), this stay was a true disaster class.
On top of all this, the pool is gross and the lobby is crowded at all times.
Avoid at all costs.
Hopefully they shift management or perhaps sell the property. There is no saving this one.
