We were really excited about staying here. We were here for a wedding and got a room through the block of rooms reserved by the family. We were really excited about staying here. We were here for a wedding and got a room through the block of rooms reserved by the family. We got a good rate, but unfortunately, even with that it wasn't worth it. The hotel itself is great. It's got a very cool vibe, the service is excellent all the way around, and the location perfect. We only tried one restaurant, LT Steak & Seafood, which was wonderful. The lobby was full when we arrived on a beautiful Saturday morning. Clearly there were locals there enjoying drinks and live piano music. There is a fantastic display of photos of the Stones and Beatles throughout. It's a fascinating exhibition called "LOST: The Bob Bonis Archives." This exhibit showcases over 250 photos taken by Bob Bonis, who was the road manager for both the Beatles and the Rolling Stones during their first U.S. tours. So much for the hotel and service. Now to the room. As many have noted, the rooms are small, but that's okay, as there were just two of us and we spent very little time in it. The bed was comfortable. However, when we arrived, the nicely decorated room was wanting for a renovation and cleaning. The bathroom had mildew and rust. There was a water bottle cap on the bathroom floor, out in the open, which meant that it wasn't properly cleaned. The ceiling fabric was peeling. You know, that's something that can be fixed pretty easily. Management needs to pay more attention to detail. This was a poor value for the money, so we won't be staying there again when we return to South Beach, which we love. Therefore, I cannot recommend this hotel. Read less

Our stay at the Betsy was absolutely fantastic. Paul, the concierge, provided exceptional service and is a true testament to his profession. He gave us great suggestions and made we had what we needed every day for a great girls trip! Rene was our server at breakfast every morning and remembered our drink and food preferences. He anticipated all our needs including bringing us pitchers of water to wash sand off our feet on the front porch after getting rained out at the beach! The attentiveness of the entire staff was great but Paul and Rene were truly outstanding! Everyone was incredibly welcoming despite our, at times, over enthusiastic group of women. Highly recommend spending some time at this charming hotel. It has the most comfortable and welcoming spaces from the lobby to the library to the rooftop pool and lounge area. You won't regret visiting! Read less

We stayed at the Betsy for our 20 yr college reunion. The service by Rene at the restaurant was top notch, and Paul took great care of us to ensure the trip was everything my girlfriends and I needed. Next time I am in South Beach, I will definitely stay here again. Thank you, Paul and Rene!
