Worried about the hotel reading previous reviews. However no complaints about this hotel what so ever. Hotel was clean, staff all friendly. Shuttle buses to universal and Disney used everyday without any major delays good shuttle services to and from this hotel.

The cleaner in the Motel lobby, had OCD when it came to cleaning the lobby floor. Nice Aroma there too, then the sound of the record scratching in the distant background. The guest pool had not been cleaned for the whole two weeks, this was normal practice when becoming concerned about possible disease and asking the staff. Someone is going to have a nice claim, I reported pool ladders being loose and broken. Nothing happened and by chance meeting bumped into head of pool maintenance, who revealed this hadn’t been reported to him. Obviously some communication issues here, I’m surprised because staff are always in meetings. Rooms are dirty and in disrepair, had to wash my feet to go outside. Icing on the cake for me is the return of my deposit, taking a week after leaving the place to be possibly returned. This “MOTEL” needs serious cleaning and modernisation. Read less

My husband and I stayed here for my 40th Birthday. From the moment we arrived in our room, we knew this wasn’t going to be the holiday we had hoped for. No offer of help to our room, explanation of how to book transfers or anything. We got to our room obviously shattered from 20 hours of travelling to find there were no cups, bottles of water or anything in our room. Our first night we were kept awake all night by the dehumidifier, air conditioning and the constant beeping and reversing of vehicles outside our room, plus the shouting along the corridor outside our room. The following morning, I spoke with reception staff who moved us to the 4th floor overlooking the pool instead of the car park. You would think this would be an improvement, but instead we would have CONSTANT noise from 6am until 11pm of kids screaming and people shouting in the pool, and then from 11pm until 2-3am with people shouting outside our room. Our room was filthy, and smelly and when I asked for the floor to be cleaned and if we had to pay for toilet paper was told we would be given one more roll of toilet paper and that our floor would be cleaned. We are still waiting for the floor to be cleaned. We also didn’t have any towels for 2 days. Towels when they are replaced are old, stained and have holes in them. The coffee machine squirts steam out at you once it’s made it’s one cup and again getting more than 2 sachets of coffee proved to be an issue. There’s nowhere to dry your wet swimsuit other than the laundry which you have to share with hundreds of other people and if you hang it outside in the corridor then the security guard comes up and tells you it isn’t allowed and to take it in. We spoke with our rep about moving hotel but was told we would need to pay an extra £1750+ to do so and find our own way there. This wasn’t a financially possible option for us so had no choice but to stay put. Every day the transfer to Disney was at least half an hour late and waiting in 35 degrees sun for 40 minutes (as they insist you got there 10 minutes early) didn’t make for a pleasant experience. We were told there would be “frequent” transfers to Disney and Universal. Don’t let this fool you. In fact there are only 3 transfers a day to Disney and they have to be booked in advance as there are only 45 seats on each pick up and several pickups on the way, and the same for Universal. We spent the majority of our holiday money on Uber trips to and from the parks as the transport just isn’t reliable. As I mentioned before, this was my 40th birthday present, and a life long dream of mine to visit America and more importantly Disneyland. We spent a day at the pool at the hotel on our 2nd day and found that 2 of the 3 sets of steps out of the pool were broken. We reported this to the staff, but 5 days later they were still broken. We spoke to the head of maintenance, who said he didn’t know and would sort it out, 6 days later they are still broken. We asked how often the pool was cleaned as it’s constantly dirty, full of sand, and dirt and floating hair etc. The response was every 2 weeks, but it’s still dirty after our two weeks stay and dirtier than when we arrived. Never before have I known a pool not to be cleaned daily. We decided to get a drink from the bar and were told we HAD to tip 20% for someone to walk literally 2 paces. It’s up to me if I want to tip and everywhere else we did, but she told us that we had to before even pouring our cup of Coke. She then went on to tell me that tips is how she lives. I asked if she didn’t get a salary to which she said she did, needless to say I didn’t tip her. We had drinks in our room, but due to there being no glasses or mugs in our room and requesting some so many times we ended up getting an Uber to Walmart and buying some ourselves. The only place that is kept clean in this hotel is the reception area. There is only one lift in each block to serve all floors. There’s no light anywhere near the fridge and microwave area so had to use a torch. All in all this turned out to be the worst holiday ever. Avoid this hotel if you want somewhere clean to stay. We're in block 2, which seems to have been recently refurbished and was very clean on arrival and cleaning since has been excellent. We are visiting from the UK, I paid the Resort Fee (which I was expecting) using my Revolut US dollar card, but as I didn't want to have it refunded to this card after I'd left, I used my UK credit card to pay the $100 deposit. I currently have a pending transaction of £185.63 on my card, which I haven't used for anything else (there was another amount too, but that has now gone). I'll try to remember to update this with what happens to that transaction. Read less
