FYI, our company has used this resort for many years and after this experience we will never again. Read less

Stayed here for one night with the family while in Orlando for vacation. This hotel is massive and it is modern and very well maintained. The lobby and common areas are really impressive and the large property shares space with the Ritz Carlton. The front desk employee was able to check us in early at around 11am which was great. The room was modern and clean and we had no issues. We were on the 21st floor and had a balcony with a cool view of Orlando. The pool area is massive and has three water slides. Like most large resort hotels, the pool area does get quite crowded in the afternoon but it did not put a damper on the experience. There are two pool bar/restaurants that serve some surprisingly good food and drinks. I had the breakfast buffet in the morning and it was also surprisingly good with made to order waffles and pancakes. The hotel beautiful and we were all very impressed. Read less

Beautiful property with a nice lazy river. No executive lounge. Service and amenities not as extensive as other JW Marriott properties. Multiple restaurants available but pricy. Attached to the Ritz with ability to use their pool/spa amenities.

The hotel is great and very modern and beautiful. Drawbacks were difficulty regulating water temp in shower and ability to get a lounger. No available loungers at 9AM so had to go to Ritz Carlton. Fireworks show better than disney. Tons of kids at this hotel so I recommend going to the Ritz Carlton if you want a quieter experience.

The arrogance of this hotel has no limits. This used to be our favorite hotel for so many years, but the service and quality has only declined while the rates and "nickel and dime you" attitude is boundless. - Valet, these guys work hard in wild heat, I appreciate them - but they no longer help load your items, open your doors, offer water at your departure from the hotel. - Check-in, absolutely no smile, no welcome, no mention of your Marriott level which is supposed to affirm your brand loyalty (I've been staying with Marriott since 1998!). They also DO NOT HONOR what you book (high floor, extra towels, the room's view of what you booked online). Front desk: "Too bad attitude" - Cabana service - thank you to Abbi - she has ALWAYS been an outstanding hostess who confirms the cabana reservation and when you check in she takes you to your cabana and goes over all the amenities. Very lovely, thank you!!! - Pool/Grill servers, thank you - you work really hard in the heat! - We stayed in a two-room suite that previously had a solid door with a lock between the two rooms. NOT ANY LONGER - no privacy between the two rooms, it's now a glass panel, no lock. - Sofa bed is an actual hammock made of steel springs and sleeps only one person (uncomfortably). *** No more rollaway beds. My oldest child slept on the sofa cushions on the floor the sofa bed was so bad. - Sofa bed linens have to be asked for separately. Hopefully, you'll receive them without having to ask multiple times. - - General Hotel "Amenities" - - ****** GOOD LUCK EATING ANYWHERE ON PROPERTY if you didn't book a dining reservation in advance. Food quality at, Citron is not at all the level it should be fore the prices and hotel reputation. Room service food is disgusting! It used to be amazing - it's awful! Starbucks closes early, the Bodega closes early - there's nothing open after 6pm. WHY???? This is not a resort with any helpful service features for anyone (families, couples, singles) after 6pm. There is no buying a bottle of water after 6pm - it would be waiting for room service for 45-90 minutes. We have been stuck "hawking" a free table at the EVRBAR to feed the family in order to avoid room service only to be constantly ghosted by servers who had too many tables and not enough staff. *Definitely not the staff's fault and 100% hotel's inability to forecast. - HELPFUL TIPS: Book dining well before you get there or plan to eat off site. Don't plan on any conveniences being opened after 6pm (Starbucks, Bodega, gift shop). You might as well pack groceries as if you're staying in an efficiency motel with nice decor. *** Also be aware of staff that provide incorrect information. While we were there they closed the pool on account of lightning, 5pm. After an hour and clear skies, we called to check if the pool would reopen and we were told very matter of fact: it was closed for the night. We called back asked to speak to a MGR after thinking there's no way, "for the night!". We were told that was wrong information and the pool is going to reopen right away. ****OBSTICAL COURSE is only open to you if you have a reservation. So if you walk up and there is NO ONE on the course (ghost town) and you're told that the next reservation is in 4 hours, but the current reservation hasn't shown up - - you and your child will be turned away.
