I was booked here for 5 nights for a work conference in the convention center nearby. On my first night, after using the shower, the faucet did not stop dripping. It was late at night so I decided to call front desk in the morning. The next morning, I open the door to the washroom to see a cockroach running across the floor. I took a picture in case I needed proof and killed the roach before calling front desk. The manager's reaction was so casual that it makes me think that this is a common problem in the hotel. She didn't even apologize, but offered to move me into another room. After questioning how they're going to ensure I'm not met with another roach in the new room, she told me that she would thoroughly inspect the room along with an 'engineer' before moving me into it. When it came time to move to the new room, they sent someone up to give me the new keys, and I wasn't even offered help to move my luggage to the new room. He simply gave me the keys and walked away - shows how much they care about providing a good experience. When I got into the new room, I opened the closet to put my luggage away and found a Duracell battery on the floor. This indicates 2 things: 1) house-cleaning is not thorough, 2) the room wasn't 'thoroughly' inspected by the manager and engineer. There was also a piece of plastic on the countertop under the t.v. Needless to say, I felt very uncomfortable staying in this hotel, and if it was up to me I would have checked out and gone to a different one. I spoke to another manager, Stuart, who was very apologetic and expressed regret for my bad experience which is a lot more than the 2 female managers expressed when the issue first happened. The food and beverages in the hotel are very overpriced. As an avid international traveler, this was one of the worst hotel experiences I've had. I certainly won't be returning. Read less

After spending the better part of a week here, I have to say, this is a very good hotel. After spending the better part of a week here, I have to say, this is a very good hotel. The rooms themselves are decently nice, with a fridge, large TV, comfy beds, plenty of outlets and lights, and strong AC, though again, nothing to make you go wow. What did make me go wow was the fact that despite the amount of people here for multiple different conventions, the entire hotel, including rooms, remained spotless throughout my stay, and never seemed overcrowded. Really, the hotel and accommodations itself, for the price and excellent location, were worth roughly four stars. The fifth star comes from the staff here, I interacted with plenty of them, and all of them were incredible. Wendy specially is one of the nicest people I’ve ever gotten to meet and is definitely in the right industry. Overall, if you need a hotel near the Orange County Convention Center (attached to the west concourse), I’d definitely recommend this place. Read less

Where to begin. The Rosen Centre hotel is … off. On many levels. There are two hotels within walking distance of the Orlando Convention Center – The Hyatt and the Rosen Centre. Faced with a captive marketplace of convention-goers who are going to stay there regardless of this review or anything else, hotel management is not hugely motivated to surprise and delight. But I implore you – stay at the Hyatt, or the Hilton, which is a 20 minute walk but a vastly better property. My check-in attendant took 20 minutes to conduct a transaction that should have taken 5. When working in the lobby/bar area, my colleague was told she couldn’t work there unless she ordered something. The breakfast was terrible – and breakfast is a really hard meal to ruin! The cooling system in my room was super-loud and I couldn’t turn it off. So a (very friendly!) man from maintenance came and turned off my heating and cooling. But then I couldn’t turn it on. Faced with a choice of a super-loud fan and a warm room, I chose the warm room and slept poorly throughout my stay as a result. The rooms are dated. The armchair is seemingly bolted into the wall, in a location that no one would ever sit in. The wifi was wonky at times. Unlike the Hyatt, there was no place to get decent snacks. And the hotel charges a one-time fee of $15 to use the gym which I have never heard of – bake it into the room rate, please! To Rosen Centre management, you can – and should, do better. Your guests deserve it. Read less

There is only one positive thing about this hotel, that is connected with an air bridge to the convention centre. For the rest, it is probably one of the worst hotel I stayed in my life. Rooms are old and tired, air conditioning so loud that it is impossible to sleep with it on, making the nights in the heat and humidity of Orlando close to impossible. There is no way to regulate the intensity either. Shower pressure quite low as well. Food is the same every single day, low quality and they keep on serving it at meetings, breakfast and lunch. The coffee place has terrible salads and the saluti croissant was so soggy I could not finish it. Restaurants and bar also do not keep the standard any higher, with suboptimal food. Service is not the best, it seems people working there are tired or something is happening to them to do not be willing to offer a good service. Read less
