An amazing hotel with fabulous staff in an amazing location. Easy and friendly check in . Apartments were clean and really spacious . Everything provided - hairdryer , plenty of towels , microwave , hob . Big fridge which makes ice. Tv in all bedrooms and beds really comfy . Staff are so friendly and helpful . Big shoutout to Vanessa at reception really helpful and always a smile on her face. Location is excellent right beside icon park so restaurants and bars in walking distance . Also free shuttle to parks with good air conditioning. Read less

I can’t understand peoples below par reviews for this place, we loved it! We’ve just returned from a 2 week stay. Ideal location on international drive, opposite icon park and walking distance to all main restaurants. The pool area was lovely and clean and very relaxed, plenty of seating on both levels. Rooms spacious, all working amenities, we stayed in room 247 which is a two bedroom apartment, beds were very comfy. The hotel doesn’t have a restaurant or a bar but does have a coffee shop which was great for the mornings (the on site shop serves alcohol). We didn’t utilise the free buses to the parks much as they weren’t suitable times for us, but Ubers are cheap and the I-ride trolley was great. Gerald on reception we mainly dealt with and he was lovely. We also utilised the on site laundry which was a god send. Towel and bin change every 3 days and full cleaning every 7, which was more than fine with us. Would 100% recommend this hotel to anyone staying on international drive. Read less

Filthy floor, see pic for my socks after just one night wearing them, there were pizza flyers under our doors 3 times during the stay during daytime, when it clearly says no advertising, it made me feel unsafe as reception obviously let strangers roam about. I had a beatle in my bed, daughter had a dead bug in hers, people smoking downstairs at the sofas, cigarette butts in the lift for the whole 2 weeks, our bin was filthy from day 1, big hole in my wall with the electrics hanging out. I could go on and on but I will never stay again. I came home ill with the recycled air in the noisy air con, and the fridge makes some racket you can't sleep. The bathroom was falling apart, they should have given me a security deposit for ruining all my socks! Receptions staff Jennifer and Gerald were amazing so lovely Read less

Great base to stay for Universal and Disney, right next to Icon park and where it is situated there are lots of places to eat along international drive. We wanted to have kitchen facilities to enable us to keep costs down where we could so had breakfast in our apartment. Kitchen has a good size fridge with a small freezer. You could access free transport to Disney or Epcot, you can then use the Disney transport to get to their other parks. The times to book transport are limited but we found Uber fairly reasonable to use to get to and from parks if necessary. Warning to anyone using the hotel transport, make sure you check with the driver if they are going to your hotel. They have several buses picking up at different times, and on occasions they ran late and one day we got on the bus with another family to find they weren’t going to our hotel and the drivers suggestion was I will drop you off at a hotel I am passing and you will have to get an Uber back to your hotel! So a free journey ended up costing us to get back. When you book the transport it suggests you make sure you download your tickets for the drivers but they never check these. When they collect they call your name but when coming back from parks they just let anyone on without checking. We found the apartment to be clean on arrival, good amount of space with a small kitchen lounge with a table and then a separate bedroom, no you don’t get housekeeping in every day, but they do drop off towels frequently. This suited us just fine. It would have Been helpful if they could leave some cleaning spray to wipe down the kitchen services and some washing up liquid as housekeeping do not come into clean anywhere, but we just bought some when we did a shop at Walmart. They do provide dishwasher powder, tea, coffee, salt & pepper. We were on the 5th floor overlooking the pool which was nice. Pool area isn’t huge but never struggled to get a sun bed if we wanted a chill out day. Sun beds aren’t very comfortable and the pool towels have seen better days, however we appreciated that there were always clean pool towels available that we could help ourselves to. Any members of the staff we came across were always helpful and polite and we felt very comfortable staying at Sonesta. We wanted somewhere that we could easily walk to places to eat, especially when we knew we would be tired after walking around Disney or universal and Sonesta was in the perfect location for us for this and also accessing the parks.
