The hotel

We think the Rosen Inn Lake Buena Vista offers excellent value as well as being so close to Disney. In the 23 acres of landscaped grounds is a lake which is home to a variety of Floridian bird life. You will find all the great family amenities in your room, just beware you may just get too comfortable! There are some great deals in the family restaurant here, and a free shuttle bus will take you to the four Walt Disney World Resort theme parks. Disney springs is very close too — with a fantastic array of restaurants, bars and shops there.

640 rooms on 5 floors in 4 buildings with 8 lifts. All with air-conditioning, TV with pay-per-view films, coffee maker, mini-fridge, microwave, safe, iron and board. Non-smoking rooms on request. Rooms with 1 king-size or 2 double beds, sleeping maximum 5 adults with a rollaway*.

This hotel offers some good and some bad, but ultimately we would not return. The good: The location of the hotel is good, we didn’t rent a car and decided against the free shuttle bus. Using Ubers from the hotel was not expensive and we would be at our park of choice within a short period of time. The hotel shop is very convenient and offers a wide range of items. We used it daily to purchase drinks and breakfast for our room. The Bar has a limited food menu, but what we had was good value for money and very nice. The bad: The rooms we had were extremely dated and we never had a single good nights sleep. The beds are extremely soft, as are the pillows, it was difficult to get comfortable. We found bugs in are room on a daily basis, mainly in the bathroom but would see them on the bed side table. The safety deposit box in our room did not work upon arrival and it took us several days to get sorted. This may not be important to some people but we like to keep things such as our passports and money in there. It was finally sorted at 11pm at night when we should have been resting. Simply not good enough. Finally, the staff were not very enthusiastic at all. We visit the US regularly and always receive a warm welcome, feeling valued as guests. We never got this here. Again this may not worry some people and I understand that, but for us it’s the small details. Read less

STAY AWAY FROM THIS HOTEL!! This hotel is NOT clean and has ants/bugs in multiple rooms. Woke up first morning to a bug crawling across counter. Then that evening when we returned from the park there were ants on the desk/counter top. Moved to another room that we NOT clean and had sticky stuff on the desk. were moved to another room which too… Read more
STAY AWAY FROM THIS HOTEL!! This hotel is NOT clean and has ants/bugs in multiple rooms. Woke up first morning to a bug crawling across counter. Then that evening when we returned from the park there were ants on the desk/counter top. Moved to another room that we NOT clean and had sticky stuff on the desk. were moved to another room which too was dirty. The next evening moved to another room and it had ants on the desk area and a bug on each bed. Finally moved to the last room and all seemed good until waking up the next morning to find bugs in the sink. If I could give a -10 star I would. I did speak to a manager but they would not give a full refund. There were also ants in the rooms of the ones we were traveling with. After reading some of the other comments it seems there have been ants before. This is a real issue. Read less

We got a room by the pool (literally in front of the pool!) where the music plays all day as from 9 am. The pool closes at 10 pm. We thought the music at the pool would stop. It didn't. We called a first time just before 11 pm. They said they would take care of it. 11.15 pm, still loud music. We call the front desk again. They say they will take care of it. 11.30 pm, still loud music (reminder, we have two children and we wanted to get up early to go to disney). They say they will take care of it. Finally, around 11.35 pm, the music stopped. You would think that they would not make the same mistake again the next day. Sure they did. When we came back from disney around 10.30 pm, music was still playing! We again had to call the front desk a couple of times before they took care of it (and hung up on me). Other than that: rooms are very old fashioned and you get 1 small shampoo bottle for 4 people. I would certainly not recommend this hotel. Read less

My family and I have just returned to the UK after a 2 week stay at the Rosen Inn Lake Buena Vista. We had read reviews previous to booking, so we knew what to expect, and it was all pretty much spot of. The hotel itself is spotless, everything works and the grounds are continually maintained to give a crisp look all the time. The staff were superb, from reception, security, restaurant, maids and shop staff, in particular the blonde haired lady who sold me my American sunglasses I had to buy twice because I lost the first pair, she was lovely, very friendly and remembered little details I'd told her days before, credit to her. The room was pretty much as expected, basic, but everything you need and clean! There was a hint of damp and faust when you first walk in, but fades after a while of you living in it. We had a motorway facing room, which wasn't that bad during the day, but did require ear plugs in the night. The pool was great, prefect size for the property and providing poolside towels was a great touch to save you using you're own. The park shuttles worked very well, a great free addition to the hotel, the drivers were always friendly and punctual. We ate in the restaurant on a few occassion, a grate selection was on offer, something for everyone and always kept clean. Perfect locations for parks and local amenities. Lovely hotel, will definitely stay here again and would highly recommend. Let the saving begin......hopefully see you in a few years 👍 Read less

We are just finishing our stay at the Rosen at Lake Buena Vista and I just had to write a review. We have been many times and I have done reviews previously but this time we were there during storm Helene and Hurricane Milton. I cannot praise enough the staff during these times. The first storm left a bit of a mess and everyone straight out clearing up then when we knew hurricane Milton was coming it was slightly different. The hotel sent letters to every room advising us what to do to keep safe. The staff were amazing and stayed at the hotel to look after us all and make sure we had everything we needed. The Lite Bite area was so well stocked too. Clearing up after the hurricane in the grounds also required a lot of work but they were straight out sorting it all out. We felt safe throughout and that is due to the whole team that work there. Can’t wait to get back next year. Thank you all so much Read less
