Firstly just to say that this hotel is very nice, very clean and very big. Check in was great, we arrived at a time when there wasn’t much of a queue so that was great. We were attended to very well and all the staff we dealt with were great. We were told which way to go to get to our room and made our way. Fourth floor tower two overlooking one of the pools. Lovely view nice clean and bright room, very nice. Then the only thing I can complain about was quite apparent, noise. You can hear everything from adjoining rooms, this also was made worse by the fact that we had a group of school/ college boys in the room next door that were very noisy, swearing, shouting laughing loudly. Even when people were talking normally in the next room it was like they were standing next to you ! We have never stayed in a hotel with walls as thin as this ! It’s a shame because it’s a better hotel than you would think for a value resort. Nice food area and bar, great location and great shuttles to citywalk and volcano bay. Read less

The rooms are updated but the service is atrocious. Truly atrocious. We waited 2 hrs to check in. Then an additional 2 hours running around the hotel and the car trying to find the keys they wouldn’t help us with. We accidentally left our keys in the room and they forced us to wait another 2 hours online after we were already checked in. Collectively, we wasted 4 hours of our 1 day staycation (we are annual pass holders which is almost 800 per person). This is the most reasonable and here is the reason why. Eventually the man did give us keys as we were waiting and he knew we were upset with all this time waiting and no help for already attending guests. He provided them without the room number so the whole thing is just insulting and disappointing and added an additional hour. The guests were helping us at this point and letting us pass them. Super unhappy with the service in this establishment and expect better from Universal Resort affiliated hotels. Do better Dockside. Do better. Find staff that can support your already existing guests. Huge disappointment and does not fulfill the expectations of Universal Orlando Resorts. Get ready to wait online for four hours during your stay. And do not expect any of the staff to give a damn. Read less

While the hotel is named Universal’s endless summer resort, it is not. It is owned and operated by Loews. We booked a vacation package via the universal website, then decided to add a day at the beginning of our trip, however it was “not possible” to edit our vacation package and therefore we had to book a separate booking. Knowing we may need to change rooms because they were unable to merge the reservations. Online check in is available at every hotel which operates in the 21st century except this one, as such you have to wait in line where they have two people checking everyone in which leads to a lengthy check in, then they have to check you in for both stays. Now when you check in for both stays, you don’t get a key for the entire trip. We received keys so we could park and get into pool area, then went to the parks. We were supposed to receive a text with the room number so we could just go straight to the room since I already waited in line to check in, but no such luck, so had to get back in check in line to get yet another set of keys made and obtain our room assignment. The next day after we returned we would have to obtain a third set of keys for our room with new dates however the supervisor seemed to be confused despite “lots of notes in the booking” as to when we were leaving. Rooms were meh our full size suitcase did not fit under the bed and therefore just had to sit in the middle of the room. Beds were hard as sleeping on the floor with paper thin pillows. Hotels in this century have a shampoo/conditioner/soap dispenser so we never bring soap. This had a baby bar of soap for a family of 5…. Luckily there is a target nearby. I really wanted to love this resort. We have stayed at nearly every Disney resort and I was expecting this to be on par with all star resorts or pop century and it was far below. The room may be larger than a standard two queen room, but the last time I stayed in a room this uncomfortable it was a “discount” hotel, not a branded hotel. We will never again stay at either endless summer resort as a result of our stay. I would rather stay at a nonuniversal hotel that has adequate amenities and a bed you can actually sleep in. I tossed and turned for three nights straight. Walls are also paper thin so you can hear everything neighbors say or do… Read less

What a brilliant place to stay while in Orlando . Everybody kept saying before we went to Florida oh you definitely need a car whilst in Orlando . Absolutely not . Glad we didn’t take their advice . This hotel is greatly located at end of I drive and the shuttles to universal parks are regular and efficient . The hotel restaurant is pricey but we ate out mostly . Loved having the bar and store on site as well as 2 fab pools . Great they provide towels too , never experienced that before . Room was spacious we stayed in a 2 bed suite and was quiet as anything. Didn’t hear a park from any other rooms or corridor noise , maybe we were lucky but hotel was full so I don’t get all the reviews about bad soundproofing. Would stay again here if returning to Orlando . Well done dockside Read less
