The hotel

Where is it

Located a short 40 minute seaplane transfer from Malé International Airport (remember to pack light for the seaplane transfer as luggage allowance is 20kg plus 5kg hand luggage, per person).

Beachfront Villas are 88sqm and feature an outdoor shower in the villas private garden, leading directly to the beach. Beachfront Villas have 1 king size bed and sleep a maximum of 2 adults and 1 child.

All Inclusive options:

All-Inclusive Dine option: includes breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea and dinner in the main restaurant. Standard beverages at the restaurant and bar. In room mini-bar replenished daily. 20% discount on destination dining.

All-Inclusive Premium option: includes breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea and dinner in the main restaurant. Premium beverages at the restaurant and bar. In room mini-bar replenished daily. Dine Around (guests staying in Land Villas with All-Inclusive Premium package can dine at Azzurro Restaurant, and have selected beverages at Azzurro Bar.) In villa dining (1 daily meal, InOcean Pool Villas only). Access to Funa - signature restaurant. 50% discount on destination dining. Resort credit of USD 75 (per person, per day. Beachfront Family Pool Villas are 192sqm and feature a spa bathtub in the villas private garden, leading directly to the beach. The villa also has a private infinity pool. Beachfront Infinity Pool Villas have two bedrooms, each with 1 king size bed and sleep a maximum of 4 adults.

Deluxe Beachfront Pool Villas are 207sqm and feature a private garden with infinity pool and Thai Sala, directly overlooking the beach. Deluxe Beachfront Pool Villas have 1 king size bed and a foldout bed, sleeping a maximum of 3 adults.

Velavaru Two-Bedroom Pool Villas are 323sqm and are made up of two huts, both with private bathrooms. The huts feature a private garden with infinity pool and Thai Sala, directly overlooking the lagoon. Velavaru Two-Bedroom Pool Villas have 1 king size bed in one hut and the other a living room that can be converted into a king size bedroom. Sleeps a maximum of 4 adults.

Angsana Three-Bedroom Pool Villas are 473sqm and are made up of two huts. The huts feature a private garden with infinity pool and Thai Sala, directly overlooking the lagoon. Angsana Three-Bedroom Pool Villas have 2 en-suite king size bedrooms and an additional ensuite twin room with spacious dining room. Sleeps a maximum of 6 adults.

InOcean Pool Villas are 175sqm, two storey overwater villas. These villas feature a spacious terrace area furnished with sun beds and a dining area and equipped with an infinity pool overlooking the ocean. Villas have 1 king size bed and sleep a maximum of 3 adults.

Deluxe InOcean Pool Villas are 232sqm, two storey overwater villas. These villas feature a spacious terrace area furnished with sun beds and a dining area and equipped with an infinity pool overlooking the ocean. Villas have 1 king size bed and sleep a maximum of 3 adults.

Deluxe InOcean Two-Bedroom Pool Villas are 287sqm, two storey overwater villas. These villas feature a spacious terrace area furnished with sun beds and a dining area and equipped with an infinity pool overlooking the ocean. Villas have 1 king size bedroom with adjoining bathroom and an ensuite twin size bedroom and sleep a maximum of 5 adults.

Azzurro Restaurant & Bar (Mediterranean cuisine, all day dining). Funa Restaurant (Asian cuisine, open 11:00am to 11:00pm). Kaani Restaurant (International cuisine, all day dining). Kuredhi Pool Bar (beverages and light snacks, open 11:00am to 11:00pm).

Nice experience in Velavalu. We came here totally 4 adults and 1 kid, two sets of villa for 5 nights. We first stayed at inocean pool villa for 2 nights, and then stayed 3 nights at the beachfront infinity pool villa. Food was good and great service from Ajija!

From the moment we arrived at the island we were treated amazingly, being spoilt from the very beginning to the very end. The island itself is beautiful but what really makes this a special place are the staff. Everyone is so friendly, engaging and approachable. As many people say, we appreciate there are many people behind the scenes that we never meet so unfortunately we cannot name them but we just like to show our appreciation by naming some of the outstanding people who work there and made our stay truly something special. So, thank you so much to; Neil, Mr Sebastian, Shibin, Littu, Shamman, Sudeesh, Ajmal, Niushad, Ajeeja, Jambo, Sajuwaan, Afu, Nishanka, Suraj, Chrith, Irushad and all the marine centre staff. Apologies if we have missed anyone however, you are all wonderful! We can recommend the daily snorkeling trips where we saw eagle rays, sharks, turtles and many other species. The food is amazing, lots of variety and we especially enjoyed the food at Kuredhi, not just because of the food but because of the wonderful people that work there. We stayed in a Deluxe beachfront Pool Villa. The villa was outstanding, spacious and beautifully cleaned by Irushad every day. The location of the villa was perfect and we couldn't have asked for a better position. The villa pool was a lovely place to cool down. We believe the biggest compliment you can give a hotelier is whether or not you would return and we can honestly say we would come back in a heartbeat. Had the most wonderful stay here for our 30th wedding anniversary. Everything exceeded expectations, from the stunning location and the excellent accommodation to the variety of things to do and the warmth and friendliness of the staff. The snorkelling was magical and we managed to see a sea turtle amongst the coral reef. The sunset cruise was so special, with dancing and jumping dolphins around the boat. We used the all inclusive 'Dine' package which was brilliant. Some of our favourite times were sipping fantastic cocktails served with smiles by Littu and Sudeesh while we watched the sunset. The personalised service was amazing. We were looked after in our villa by Azee, who quickly learned what soft drinks we liked in the minibar and made sure we had them every day. Everything was spotlessly clean and maintained beautifully. The food was absolutely excellent at both Kaani restaurant and Kuredi bar. We always had a wonderful table for two on the very edge of the verandah, right next to the beach and Indian Ocean. We cannot thank Afzal, Yazid, Ajija and Niushad enough for their exceptional service. From the moment we arrived at the international airport on Malé and were met by a friendly and professional Angsana representative who handled everything from our luggage to our seaplane check in, it was clear we were in for an amazing time. The only way we could bear to come home was to promise ourselves that we would go back.
