A huge thank you to Susil from the Food & Beverage team, who went above and beyond to help me create a perfect proposal for my girlfriend. Due to weather, we had to reschedule three times, but Susil was always accommodating and made each change effortless. On our final day, he ensured everything was set up beautifully, adding extra touches to make it truly memorable. We’re so grateful for Susil’s support and are thrilled he was part of this special moment! Read less

Myself and my wife arrived her on 23rd October for 7 nights and can honestly say without a shadow of a doubt this was the best holiday we have ever had. We were a little anxious about going at the back end of the wet season but when we got there we experienced nothing but sunshine, sure there was the odd shower here and there but they were short lived and barely noticable. We stayed in a beach bungalow which was amazing, pretty minimalist but well presented on the inside and seeing as though your spending most of your time outside who cares. The view from the deck and then on to the beach was spectacular, the marine life was amazing and the staff were so friendly and helpful we were blown away. There's not much more I would like to comment on this as its an experience you really need to feel for yourself but honestly you wont be disappointed on this island. Top tips. Make sure you use the bathroom before boarding the speedboat to the island, its 1 hour 20 mins with no toilet breaks on the way 🤣 Use a life jacket if your going to swim or snorkel around the island, the current can be strong and your very likely to get distracted by the marine life which can cause you to swim out further than intended. Bring dollars with you, the island accepts card payment but if you want to tip or visit one of surrounding islands then a fist full of dollars will be very helpful. Pack light, you won't need as much clothes as you think. Bring your own snorkeling gear, you won't be disappointed All in all an amazing unforgettable holiday Read less

This was our 9th time in the Maldives, but 1st time staying at Ellaidhoo. We chose this resort because it catered for gluten free and has a good house reef that is accessible from the beach. We arrived during a storm so the speedboat crossing was very rough (although the return trip was smooth), so next time we would book a seaplane transfer. We stayed in a beach bungalow which was well arranged and maintained. There are three restaurants, but as we were on the AI package we only visited the a la carte Seanic Café and the Madi buffet which are both included. We ate at the Seanic Café a couple of times – the food is great but there was only one gluten free main choice available. It might be useful to update the menu to indicate which meals could be adapted for different allergies. When we first visited the Madi buffet the head waiter explained the allergy labelling to me and offered to provide me with gluten free meals which I could order in advance. I’m not a fussy eater and was always able to find something tasty so never bothered to order any food. The labelling seems to be very accurate as far as gluten free is concerned. As always cross-contamination is possible, so it might be good to have separate stands or areas to reduce this risk. For example move the gluten free bread/muffins away from the other bread/pastries. There are two bars and there was more than enough choice of drinks and cocktails included on the AI package. The house reef provided some of the best snorkeling we have had in the Maldives. The real joy at Ellaidhoo is how relaxing and friendly it is. Although there are lots of guests it doesn’t feel busy and the staff are always cheerful. A special mention goes to our room boy Komal who was so polite and accommodating, our cheeky waiter Irafan at the Madi buffet, and Madhawa the waiter at the Seanic bar who always insisted on bringing our drinks to the table. Accommodation (superior ocean view room): Rooms were large, well furnished, very clean, had all the amenities one could need and the bed was very comfortable. Couldn't ask for anything more! Food: Buffet restaurant served a very diverse array of food from local curries and fish dishes to western meals as well as a fresh salad bar and extensive fruit and desert section. We were really impressed with the quality of the food, everything was delicious. In addition to the food included in the all inclusive, there is also an additional a la carte restaurant that we ate at one night which was fantastic, the food was incredible and the service was 5*. Every few nights there are also additional options available such as an all you can eat seafood bbq that is amazing and worth the additional cost. Facilities & activities: Great selection of excursions available e.g. to visit a local island, go snorkelling on other reefs etc. Spa facilities are great and of a very high quality. PADI dive shop at the resort provides access not only to snorkelling and diving equipment for rent but also ability to do PADI courses and book dive trips to other reefs. There is also a very well equipped gym. Service/staff: Overall the service was great! Staff were very friendly and always keen to help and provide additional information. Particularly, we want to thank and recognise Nazeer, who works in the bar area. Nazeer constantly went above and beyond to make our trip special, checking in on us everyday, recommending things for us to try/do, providing us lots of information about the island and other islands/life in the Maldives. Snorkelling: The house reef on Ellaidhoo is really incredible for snorkelling! We spent hours everyday circling the island snorkelling and we're constantly encountering new animals and having unique experiences. Highlights include green turtles, sharks (nurse, black and white tip reef and oceanic white tip), multiple ray species, moray eel and more than 150 species of fish. We really don't have anything bad to say about the resort! Read less
