The hotel

The Hard Rock name has hit the Maldives, bringing its inimitable chill out scene to the ultimate laidback location. A new concept in the Maldives, it’s more than just barefoot luxury and days of sunbathing, swimming, and snorkelling (although there’s plenty of that too). A footbridge links you to the Marina @ CROSSROADS, where a Hard Rock Café, Beach Club, and a dining village await. And, being a Hard Rock hotel, you’ll also find VIP-worthy treats in store, like Rock Spa® treatments, super-chic eateries (The All-Inclusive option here takes your taste buds beyond the resort too, meaning you can dine around at SAii Lagoon and The Marina @ CROSSROADS), and exclusive ‘Sound of Your Stay’ music moments, including complimentary use of Fender guitars and Crosley turntables — all just 15 minutes speedboat ride from the airport.

Near the houses we saw the reef which was beautiful with many fish. The beach was also nice with good food available for lunch. The kids club had good entertainment especially table tennis which we played everyday. Entertainment in general was superb ranging from amazing songs performed by Deviate and some other bands and singers as well as Abracadabra which always put on an amazing show. For dinner there were a lot of different options ranging from restaurants at the crossroads to restaurants and special buffet nights at the hotel. The bikes on the island were available free of charge making our commute around the island enjoyable and quick. All the staff were very nice and we would definitely recommend this hotel to others. What an amazing hotel! We were lucky enough to have bumped into Kishore at reception. He was very hospitable and professional. Our rooms were not quite ready when we arrived so he took us for lunch as kids were hungry. Then when we went to the first room, it was bit far from the pool and restaurant, kishore called his manager and got us the same silver deluxe suite close to the restaurant, mosque and pool area. He offered to remain in touch via whatsapp and anything we needed I whatsapped him. From booking restaurants to snorkling, jet skis and dolphin quest, he arranged everything for us. The hotel overall was very nice, good food, lovely staff, everyone was so helpful. The rooms were very spacious and very child friendly. Kishore arranged for our 6 month old a baby bath, sterilsier, sleeping bag, stool and tap attachment. The rooms had life jackets but we needed a small one for our 5 yr old, when we got to our room, it had already been sent. The whole place was very clean. Cant fault it and highly recommend. Read less

I want to give a special thank you to the following staff who looked after us. Kishore is the man to know, and made anything possible. He was always ready to pick us up and taxi us round the island. Whenever we called he was there within 10 minutes, he made all of our dinner reservations and made sure we were treated extra special at all the restaurants. The best service that we have ever had from an individual on holiday. Sauget and Gopi were always smiling and ensured we never went thirsty at the pool bar, make sure to ask for a Gopi special cocktail! Hassa was always ready to help and never let us down, especially when the kids needed something. Finally Kudey in the restaurant was always making sure we were having a good time and the food and drink were what we expected. We definitely will be rebooking! Read less

This is now the second Hard Rock Hotel that I've been to and it lived up to my sky high expectations. The over water villa was AMAZING, and was certainly the highlight for us. I would definitely recommend staying in one of these if you can. We could walk straight down the steps from our villa for a swim in the day, and lie on the netting watching the stars at night. Bliss! The restaurants were good. We spent most of our time at Sessions (which was included in the all inclusive), and the food was fantastic. The Hard Rock Cafe was great fun, with a nice vibe. We didn't try the other restaurants (as we are not foodies!) but they looked nice too. There was free snorkel/mask rental for the week, and there were free bikes which you could use to get around (although you could easily walk to each place too). The beachfront was nice, although we generally spent most of our chill time by our villa as it was so AMAZING. It is then with great sadness that I write this review. I don't know if I'll ever get to have a better holiday and all future beach holidays may feel merely mediocre compared to the incredible week I've just had. However, as Shakespeare teaches us: it's better to have holiday'd and had to come home, than to never have holiday'd at all. 10/10. Read less
