The House is big enough and is nice decorated, the bathroom with half open roof is fantastic only the back of the bed should be clean because of the musty smell. The Malange Restaurant was very tasty with very good quality food from many Cultures and with fantastic, very nice and helpfull staff. Italian Restaurant was also good. The mainpool have amazing view and is not crowded. Kidsclub need to be renovated- it was old, dark and looks like dirty. The staff there was ok. At the evening you can enjoy the life music- some lady with great voice. The Organisation and Management supposed to be more profesional and competent. The Sport-and Outdoor activities are very expensive and not worth this money. You became some voucher (2pcs) and that’s ok but it’s supposed to be more for free in the hotelprice included or not so expensive. You can only rented the snorkeling masks for free and enjoy the ocean world (there is romeo &julia side of the island extra for snorkeling)- Wonderfull! Read less

We spent a memorable week at the Pullman Maamutaa Maldives, and I can confidently say our experience was 99% perfect - just a hair's breadth away from absolute perfection. The hotel island itself is a natural wonder - relatively large and elongated, which proves to be a fantastic advantage for wildlife enthusiasts. During our stay, we encountered an impressive variety of birds, witnessed beautiful fauna and flora, and even spotted fruit bats! While the island's size might seem daunting, you needn't worry about distances. Though it takes about 10 minutes to walk from end to end, the hotel offers an efficient buggy service that whisks you to any destination within minutes. That said, I strongly recommend taking walks when possible - the wildlife sightings make it worthwhile. The shoreline is particularly family-friendly with its relatively shallow waters, perfect for those who might be hesitant about deeper waters. There's an interesting quirk about the beach - due to the extensive sandbanks, reaching the coral reef requires some effort. However, I can assure you it's worth the 15-20 minute swim from the main pool area. While good swimming skills are necessary for reef exploration, you can feel secure knowing that lifeguards regularly patrol the area on jet skis, ready to assist if needed - a thoughtful touch that impressed us. The staff truly elevate the experience to a five-star level. Everyone, especially in the restaurants, exudes warmth and genuine helpfulness. Their constant smiles and eagerness to assist with any request, anywhere on the property, exemplify exceptional service. A special mention must go to the chef at Melange (the main restaurant) who impressed us both with his culinary genius and wonderful personality. The culinary experience here is nothing short of extraordinary. Somehow, they manage to perfectly execute dishes from multiple cuisines - Arabic, Indian, Maldivian, Asian, and Western - each maintaining authentic flavors and high quality. The Path Camelon, their vegan restaurant, offers a unique dining experience that's worth trying even if you're not vegan. The best part? Everything is included in the all-inclusive package. In fact, the food service concept here is among the finest I've encountered in any hotel, and the comprehensive all-inclusive nature makes it even more appealing. Our beach villa (without pool) was spacious and thoughtfully designed. The layout created a relaxing atmosphere that perfectly captured the beach mood. While I haven't included personal photos (there are plenty available online - and yes, they're absolutely accurate!), I can confirm that the reality matches the imagery. The garden area was particularly impressive, featuring lush green plants, mangroves, and palms, all well-maintained and complementing the ocean views beautifully. Regarding the arrival experience): The transfer between the lounge and domestic terminal could have been better coordinated. While these areas were only 10 meters apart, we rushed to the terminal after check-in, not realizing we had an hour before boarding. It would have been helpful if someone had informed us we could return to the lounge instead of waiting in the noisy, less comfortable terminal. While one might say we should have figured this out ourselves, after 30 hours of travel, clear thinking becomes challenging. The all-inclusive package here stands out as one of the most flexible I've experienced. Feeling hungry? Choose from four restaurants, various snack bars, or the bite cart - you can eat almost anything, anywhere, anytime! Need transportation? The buggy service is covered. Want a massage or jet ski adventure? The all-inclusive plan includes several excursion options. It's remarkably comprehensive and wonderfully flexible. A few minor points for improvement: Due to the temporary closure of Kooddoo Airport, we had to use an alternative airport and take a one-hour boat transfer. While this isn't the hotel's fault, a small gesture - perhaps a chocolate, voucher, or simply an acknowledgment - would have been appreciated. Additionally, we noticed some inconsistency in cocktail preparation between venues - my girlfriend's "Wallflower" varied in portion size and taste depending on where it was ordered. For the cleaning perfectionists (like myself), while housekeeping is generally excellent (99% perfect), the bathroom edges and corners could use a bit more attention. However, this is a minor detail in an otherwise impeccably maintained property. This resort would delight virtually any traveler - couples will appreciate the privacy, families will love the flexible food service and child-friendly staff, and older couples will find their own rhythm. The hotel's layout and organization prevent any sense of crowding - you'll rarely see more than 15 people in one area. Overall, while there's always room for minor improvements, our experience at Pullman Maamutaa Maldives was exceptional. The few small issues we encountered did little to diminish what was otherwise a nearly perfect stay. We will come back, as soon as possible! Read less

I'm not quite sure why this resort has a 5-star rating. To start, they have failed to maintain the nearby airport/landing strip, which required us to take a longer domestic flight, combined with a longer boat transfer. After landing in Male at 8:30 AM in the morning, we did not arrive at the resort until almost 3 PM. Same issue on the return, essentially losing a day at the resort and then letting us wait at the domestic airport for over an hour in the heat until the plane arrived. We stayed 9 nights total. First the "Beach Villa", which is in fact a "Jungle Villa" closest to the beach without view and a small footpath to the beach. Then the Overwater Bungalow has a water entry ladder with round bars, rather than flat steps, which makes stepping down the ladder into the water very uncomfortable/somewhat painful. We also agreed to purchase a 1-night upgrade into the "Aqua Villa" with the underwater bedroom for $1,600 (that's a $2,600 night), which was not worth the money. The unit was not as advertised. Windows both upstairs and downstairs were dirty. Below water, the fish were hard to see, everything was milky and the camera picked up dirty glass, rather than the fish. Upon immediate complaint, management offered no remedy, no discount since they had collected prepayment of this upgrade days before. Then main pool area (The Hub) is infested with crows that disturb the peace while they are hunting down leftovers from the poolside restaurant, cawing relentlessly. Despite plenty of staff, it takes a while for them to clear dirty glasses and dishes and don't seem to mind the crows. Foodwise, we've had stomach problems/diarrhea on several days. Read less

A beautiful resort with all the standard things to do in Maldives like snorkelling, fishing tours and white sandy beaches. The buffet was great and definitely recommend booking for the Italian restaurant. Being our second time to Maldives highlighted a couple drawbacks though. - Transfer was an absolute punish. They didn't tell us until the week leading up that the preferred airport was closed. So we had to take a 1hr flight from Male and then 1hr speedboat transfer. Add in the time spent checking in and waiting, we left Singapore 1030am and arrived at the hotel around 7pm. - The last resort offered complimentary sunscreen and after sun, obviously crucial for Maldives, here you needed to buy for $75USD at their shop - Some staff weren't aware of what was and wasn't included. Our travelling partners were told they couldn't take paddleboards out as they were chargeable, but they were included. - The "reef" was a decent swim out and no real short cuts to drop in. If the current was strong its 200m+ against the tide to get to the drop off. Overall was a great experience but think if we went back again we'd just go somewhere within boat transfer of Male.
