Lovely island resort. Fabulous staff, with a special mention for Myat for her attention to detail and thanks for my husband’s special birthday treats 🥰 Food was wonderful, numerous dishes on offer at various times of the day. All in all, a very relaxing stay at Royal Island Resort & Spa.

A hotel worth recommending. Service at a high level - always nice, smiling and ready to help. Rooms cleaned twice a day by Mr. Razib - very good job. The hotel grounds are very well-kept, clean and green. The food was very tasty, something different every day. Beautiful beach! Thanks to Mini who took good care of us during our vacation 5/5

We stayed for 10 days on a Premium All-Inclusive meal plan. Booking directly through their website offered the most affordable option. The plan included two restaurants: a buffet for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and an à la carte restaurant (one meal per day). Together, these restaurants provided a wide variety of dishes, including Indian, Chinese, European, and occasional Japanese cuisine. The plan also covered beverages and snacks at the bar. In our opinion, the weakest aspect was the breakfast, which remained largely unchanged throughout our ten-day stay, although the selection was quite extensive. Our room was located on the north side of the island, which we found ideal for a family with a six-year-old. The area offered ample shade, a gentle entry to the ocean, and a depth perfect for children to swim while remaining comfortable for adults. While the breakwater stones slightly obstructed the ocean view, they also created calm waters, even in rough weather. The marine life was diverse, with numerous fish, a few stingrays, and a turtle sighting. While many corals were dead, we did encounter some live ones. As our stay exceeded seven nights, we received one spa treatment per person, three excursions (fishing, dolphin spotting, and a local island trip), one hour of non-motorized water activities daily (canoe, SUP, catamaran), and snorkeling gear (9 AM to 5 PM). Sports activities like ping pong, tennis, and volleyball were also included. It's worth noting that the snorkeling gear wasn't always in optimal condition, with some snorkel tubes leaking water. For children, activities were limited to brief sessions of origami, henna painting, and similar options. However, our child enjoyed the stay due to swimming, building sandcastles and general pleasure of the stay. The staff was generally friendly and helpful. We would like to extend special thanks to our host, Minimol, for her support throughout our stay, and to the waiter, Habib. Read less

All the hotel staff were very friendly, courteous and attentive - reception, restaurants, bars, water sports, excursions and room cleaner. The resort was well maintained - very clean. The sport recreation activities and facilities were good - gym, tennis, table tennis, badminton, pool, Squash and swimming pool. We had someone dedicated to us. That person was MINIMOL. She looked after us throughout our stay and ensured all our needs were met and that we had a great holiday. We were kept well informed on WhatsApp. She sent us all the details of the resort on our first day so we had everything at hand. Also she sent us daily first thing in the morning of what was going. On top of this she came to talk to us everyday to check if all was ok. We would definitely recommend this hotel. Read less
