The hotel

When you step through the doors of this adults only resort, you'll instantly know you've reached paradise. Soak up the splendour of your surroundings with typical Mauritian architecture, decor inspired by the sea, and a roundabout bar with 360º views of the pool and glistening ocean beyond. The resort is located in front of one of the largest lagoons of Mauritius, Anse la Raie lagoon, and you can spend your days trying out the complimentary water sports, including glass bottom boat rides, or sail out on the resorts catamaran with daily full day excursions (at extra costs). There's also a luxurious spa (not forgetting the 3 swimming pools too) for those relaxing days. Either way, we guarantee you won't want to leave.

What a fabulously perfect time we had at Lagoon Attitude! We can’t fault a thing from start to finish. On arrival we were given a cold towel and fresh drink which was exactly what we needed after almost 24 hours of travelling! It was super helpful as well to join the (daily) hotel tour to get your bearings, and we even met the manager at this time. The resort is beautiful and well-maintained and we loved the layout of everything. There are options for the vibe you want, local, laid back or lively. The food was great everyday, including in the a la carte restaurants, we especially enjoyed Kot Nou, and the vibes were just so great! Plus, there are gluten free options! Gluten free bread on offer with every meal and freshly made! Our meal at Coral (a set menu) was fully adapted to suit my gluten-free husband. Every single staff member is so friendly, everyone says hello when they pass and we felt so welcome! The all inclusive drinks are all amazing and the selection is huge, we especially enjoyed the Baresf selection which are cocktails designed in house. Evening entertainment was incredible, we loved every night so much, it’s very relaxed and everyone seemed to be enjoying it! The beach and sea are lovely, and there are so many activities to do on the resort including a glass bottom boat, snorkelling and pedalo hire, all of which are included. We also hugely recommend the sunset catamaran which was amazing value for money and a truly wonderful experience with just a small group of people (just be sure to book through the hotel for the best deal!). Also the activities team and very inclusive and friendly, we played many games of waterpolo, beach volleyball and loved aqua gym. Our room was spacious, with a brilliantly comfy bed and a lovely shower. Our room attendant Ajay spoke to us everyday to make sure we had everything we needed, and left flowers on our bed everyday. We loved that you had to collect drinks etc from the on site ‘shop’ as part of the eco incentive, what a fab idea! The hotel’s green attitude is commendable and is a big reason we chose Lagoon Attitude. The one thing we advise, avoid Big John on the beach selling day trips. He’s a lovely guy but the trips are not worth the money. Overall we had the absolute best time and cannot stop talking about it with friends and family! We could go on for pages about how great it is here. Thank you Lagoon Attitude for such a perfect and memorable honeymoon, we couldn’t ask for more! Read less

It was really clean and tidy. the food from all the restaurants was amazing and all the staff were outstanding. Thank you so much for making this a truly memorable holiday. Hopefully we will be back one day. Read less

First the Cons. You have to go to hotel shop to pick up tea, coffee, and other drinks. The bath towels are small and poor quality. Balcony view spoiled by chunky wood ballistrade. My bedside light was faulty, it wasnt fixed. Sun beds are poor quality. Beach is gritty not sand. Cigarette butts left on beach are not picked up by staff. The food was bland even the curry was bland. The 3 a la carte restaurants can be booked as many times as you like, so first week fully booked. The puddings were little cakes and tarts, the ice cream was poor quality. Now the Pros. Nice big comfy bed. Nice shower. Good safe. 2L of water delivered every day. Nice views. Air con good. Teabags and coffee were good. Soft drinks and beer available free in shop. Fridge okay. Balcony chairs were good. Plenty of cushions and pillows. Staff and service was good. Plenty of food. 3 swimming pools all a decent size. Beach towels were good. Read less

Booked lagoon attitude for our honeymoon. We arrived after dinner service, were shown to our room after a brief tour of the hotel, our bags appeared quickly and we had a dinner box delivered to us. The room was a little disappointing, with a mouldy blind and for a suite there was no where to sit except the bed. It would be helpful to be told to bring a water bottle to refill rather than paying to buy one. Having no pre stocked minibar in the room was also surprising. You must stock this yourselves from a ‘shop’ on site albeit with an allowance of only one beer and one soft drink per guest per day. For an all inclusive this seems wrong. Unfortunately we arrived late and the shop to get tea/ coffee/ beer/ soft drinks was shut. It was difficult to book the other restaurants and the food in the main buffet was repetitive and not quality you’d expect from a 4* hotel. We had to ask for an iron a couple of times, which did show up eventually, but needed an adaptor, which we luckily had. Minor but the towel hooks were both broken meaning every time we hung up a towel it immediately fell on the floor, the towels were also pretty threadbare and poor for any hotel to provide to guests. That said, the staff were mainly very friendly, and Deepika in the spa was exceptional Read less
