The hotel

With a stunning sunset location, flanked by UNESCO World Heritage Site Le Morne Peak, this LUX* resort also overlooks an endless stretch of golden beach. Sheltered from trade winds and on the quiet side of the island, it’s an ideal place to catch up on some R&R. Landscaped gardens surround you, dotted with five swimming pools — select your favourite and pull up a lounger. Romantic in feel, the hotel is also ideal for families, with a superb kids' club offering activities such as treasure hunts, art classes and tennis lessons. Water sports abound, try your hand at snorkelling, water-skiing or kite-surfing perhaps. If you prefer dry land, no worries — team up with friends for a game of volleyball or hire a bike to explore the lush interior. Come sundown, the pace picks up slightly. Head to The Bar for cocktails and live music, or while away the hours in East, feasting on delicious Thai cuisine. Set right beside the ocean, The Beach is also highly recommended, serving up Italian fare in a relaxed setting.

Where is it

At the foot of the Le Morne Mountain in the southwest corner of Mauritius. Transfer time from Mauritius International Airport: approximately 1 hour 15 minutes. Please note that if taking a seat in coach this may be longer depending on how many hotel stops are en route.

149 rooms and suites, all with air-conditioning, balcony or terrace, flatscreen TV, telephone, complimentary WiFi Internet access, Tropical Bar*, tea/coffee-making facilities, safe, hairdryer, iron and board (upon request). Deluxe Rooms with 1 king-size bed, sleeping maximum 3 adults or 2 adults and 1 Teen or 1 child or 1 infant.

Board basis options

Half Board option: includes breakfast at The Kitchen and dinner at either The Kitchen, The Beach and East.

Full Board option: includes breakfast at The Kitchen. Lunch at The Kitchen, The Beach, The Bar. Dinner at The Kitchen, The Beach and East.

All Inclusive option: includes

- Breakfast at The Kitchen

- Lunch at The Kitchen or The Beach and for guests in excursions picnic basket (request to be placed at the reception 24-hours in advance).

- Dinner at The Kitchen, or The Beach, (selected items available with supplements)

Drinks (in all restaurants and bars) includes a wide selection of beverages (soft drinks, tea, coffee, beers, wines, juices, mineral water, cocktails and liquors)

- Wellness: Yoga & stretching classes, fitness centre, sauna, steam room, whirlpool and spa garden (mandatory reservation subject to availability at the Spa - adults only)

- Water sports: Water-skiing, glass bottom boat trips, snorkeling, windsurfing, kayaks, pedal boat, small catamaran, mini sailing as per weather and tide conditions

- Land activities: Unlimited access to our gym centre, floodlit tennis courts (rackets and tennis ball provided), table tennis, bocce balls, beach volley.

Please note: All Inclusive starts from your arrival time at the resort until your departure from the resort. Meals and drinks to be chosen from applicable All Inclusive menus. The hotel reserves the right to close up to two restaurants throughout the year.

Room upgrades

Junior Suites with double bathtub and 1 king-size bed, sleeping maximum 3 adults or 2 adults and 1 child/teen (under 17 years).

Sunset Junior Suites with double bathtub, balcony and 1 king-size bed, sleeping maximum 2 adults.

Prestige Junior Suites are on the beachfront and have an outdoor shower and bath, with 1 king-size bed, sleeping maximum 2 adults, plus 1 infant.

Ocean Junior Suites are perched on the water’s edge, overlooking the lagoon, with 1 king-size bed, sleeping maximum 2 adults and 1 child/teen (under 17 years).

Family Suites consist of 1 Prestige Junior Suite and 1 Ocean Junior Suite, sleeping a maximum of 4 adults or 3 adults and 1 teen or 2 children or 2 adults and 2 teens or 3 children or 2 infants or 2 adults and 3 children and 1 infant.

The Kitchen (main restaurant, open for breakfast, lunch and dinner), The Beach (healthy Mediterranean cuisine, open for lunch and dinner), East (Thai cuisine, open for dinner. Not included in any meal plans. A credit of MUR 800 on food is granted to every Half Board, Full Board and All-Inclusive guest.). The Bar, IIot and Oasis swim-up bars, Cafe LUX* (fine made-on-site coffee). 

Each evening, an eclectic mix of local and global talents, live performances and music are featured.

We came here with Tina Skitusha agency and had the best day of all in Mauritius. This place feels like you are in paradise! Great atmosphere, food is excellent and staff is so helpful and nice! If you are looking for some luxury on a high level, THIS IS THE PLACE!!!

We had an amazing time in Lux Le Morne. Incredible place to relax and enjoy and feel really special. Staff is very attentive and helpfull! Food is very tasty and just spending a day in Lux Le Morne feels like you are in Paradise for a day!I higly recimmend this hotel!greetings from Croatia!

Great place. This was our second visit. Beautiful rooms, friendly staff. Refined atmosphere. Hurvind Teeluck is professional in checking the quality in the restaurants. We had Eric to visit the dolphins in the early morning. Probably the best hotel on the island.

This was the perfect relaxing beach holiday we were after. The room was lovely and the staff and food were excellent! We arrived to find Bianca who organised celebrations had already organised events for us for our 35th wedding anniversary and was happy to alter a couple things to make it perfect! Alaine who hosted the main restaurant was looking after us from day one and was a true gentleman. We used the beach restaurant as much as possible and I have to say the location and food at this smaller set up were outstanding and I have to particularly mention the fantastic and friendly service we received from Ridesh and Samanta there, we were made to feel very special! Most of our time in the day was spent on the beach or in the bar and a new manager who looked after the "bar and beach services" called Hans went out of his way to make our stay great and I would particularly thank him for arranging for us to be able to stay in our room till our departure time in the evening rather than having to vacate the room by midday! Simply......the best hotel/resort we have ever stayed at. Whilst the fantastic setting, superb layout, and whole ambience were top rated, it was the people that really elevated our experience and made a difference. We were cared for in a way that is difficult to describe. The hotel itself is hidden amongst palm trees and sits directly on a wonderful beach. We had a premium suite that felt like a beach hut, yet had everything that we needed. It was finished to a very high standard and serviced 2 or 3 times a day. It sat meters away from an amazing pool and only 50 meters from the beach. Some days, we spent lazily by the pool and others by the beach. Everything was so peaceful and quiet. The layout ensured privacy. Whilst at the pool or on the beach, we had space and were really well looked after by Hans and his team. In particular, Akshay ensured everything we needed was there for us. From fresh coconuts, fruit, drinks and food....nothing was too much trouble for Hans and his team. There are several places to eat in the evenings, but "The Kitchen," which is the main restaurant offering an open buffet, is quite honestly the best I have ever experienced. A full, fresh selection every day of wonderful food where the theme changed daily. The bar is a great place to unwind after dinner, or in fact grab a snack and relax in the day. When there seek out Balee. A great guy who really went out of his way to look after us. He really knows how to make a great cocktail. He is a credit to the hotel. Throughout our stay, there were many, many small touches and surprises that made us feel valued. Things that we just didn't expect. Too many to list, but make sure you get to the Managers beach cocktail party to watch a sunset and a fire show on the beach. On the subject of sunsets.....magnificent. Above everything else, our relationship with the team was made personal by the care and attention of one of the management team....Hurvind. he really did ensure that that we had an amazing experience, and the whole team clearly followed his example. The attention and interest that Hurvind shows to his guests makes you feel special. No detail is overlooked. I don't mind admitting it was emotional leaving, but the people (and a great hotel) will pull me back again. I am sure of it. Read less
