The hotel

Nestled in beautiful tropical gardens, Paradise Cove Boutique Hotel is a gorgeous adults-only boutique hotel, offering guests a secluded retreat from the world. Aptly named, it really is paradise here with a pristine white beach and exceptional views of the lagoon and the northern islands from the peninsula. Highly romantic, the resort even offers ‘love nest’ twin sun beds. Also recommended is a visit to Spa Cinq Mondes. Not only does it boast a pool, hammam and flower baths, you can treat yourself to an Indian Ayurvedic massage — sure to banish any lingering cares! At the Paradise Cove, water sports are very much the order of the day, from snorkelling to water-skiing. Come dusk, Stay Bar is the place to sip on tropical cocktails whilst admiring the sunset. There’s live and unplugged music here too but first enjoy dinner at a choice of restaurants. For local dishes, the Dining Room is ideal or experience Asian fusion cuisine at XO. For a real treat, book a table at The Cove — highly romantic, tables for two are set in small huts, right on the beach, beside a coconut grove.

An idyllic holiday. Excellent in all aspects possible. From the moment we arrived, the service was excellent. Superb room, excellent food and choice of restaurants and the resort and Indian Ocean views were heavenly. We waited a long time to visit Mauritius, and Paradise Cove truly had the 'wow' factor! Can't wait to return!

Stayed here for 8 nights as part of our honeymoon. We arrived well ahead of check in and it was lovely that the staff accommodated us upon arrival, with breakfast and a private room to store our luggage in. The room also had a shower which was lovely after a long flight! Food - Highly recommend the XO (sushi) restaurant and a big shout out to Nicholas/other staff for getting us in on our final night without a reservation. Views from the Peninsula restaurant for lunch are stunning and the food was generally good. Breakfast was very good, with a wide range of options available. The egg station was very good! Pools/bars - Spoilt for choice with the pools/cove beach. Never had a problem finding a sunbed although some [older] guests still felt the urge to reserve beds for hours, on occasion. A big shout out to all of the bar staff, particularly Micheal who was extremely attentive and very lovely. Jonathan was also very good and loved an exciting cocktail creation! Excursions - we did the ‘Pirogue’ boat trip, which involved visiting two uninhabited islands just off of Grande Gaube. Would highly recommend doing the full day trip, as the lobster BBQ was exceptional and the snorkelling areas are excellent. Other - the overall cleanliness of the hotel was clear to see and probably the best we have witnessed at a hotel, so credit to all of the staff for that! The atmosphere in all parts of the hotel is very relaxed, although in our opinion it can be a little sleepy at times. There are a lot of young couples and personally we think that some chilled music around certain pools at certain times would have gone a long way. Read less

It sits within its own inlet of sea and beach, amongst beautiful gardens and with every room having a sea view. The standard is truly 5 star and as you can see from previous reviews, it stands out as one of the top hotels in Mauritius. The food is exceptional and the staff are all amazing, going out of their way to accommodate your every need. Special thanks to Michael who has looked after us everyday around the pool. You are a credit to the hotel! Thank you all for making this celebration of our 40th Wedding Anniversary very special. We shall certainly recommend you to our friends and family! We stayed at Paradise Cove for 13 nights in October 2024 and we’ve seen all the weather concerns but in the north it was beautiful with the odd shower but on average 26-28 degrees daily. We were a warmly and individual welcomed to Paradise Cove by our host. She showed us around the resort, giving guidance on where you could dine etc. which was helpful and ended us to get some orientation. Our arrival time was around 10 am and as our room was not ready we were provided with a private cabin where we could fully refresh after our travelling. We were advised that our AI benefits become available as soon as you arrive at the hotel and don’t stop literally until you leave which was great as you eased into your holiday straight away. It wasn’t long until our suite was available. We chose a prestige junior suite which was on the ground floor with its own private terrace with seating and sofa. The room was very spacious with a large bathroom, huge double shower and sufficient space for clothes etc. The mini bar was available on the AI and replenished daily. You could also ask for extra individual items at no extra cost. The grounds were extensive and you could always get a sun-bed, which were available on the beach, around the two infinity and the lap pools as well as the many thatched ‘love nests’ which were scattered all around the Cove. Everyone was respectful of sun beds and people did not reserve them which was so refreshing to see. We so loved the peace and tranquility of this resort which was spacious yet intimate. We enjoyed our complimentary treatment which was great as well as another one each and these were excellent and it was so relaxing and peaceful in the beautiful spa area. But the highlight at Paradise Cove is the staff who are an absolute credit to the resort. Michael at the pool was superb, he always made sure you had water and as the day progressed your daily cocktail or his ‘special’ of the day would arrive like clockwork! He was so charming, indiscreet and friendly and his 30+ years experience was evident. Other staff that made our holiday was Tulsi at The Stay Bar who again had been working there for around 30+ years and would always make sure your glass was never empty and everyone was happy with their dining choices. Both day and night he ensured your time at The Stay Bar was the best it could be. We loved the Peninsula bar and restaurant for sunset cocktails and the Friday and Saturday sundowners with tapas was fab. Dining by the waters edge for lunch or dinner was fabulous. Dashwin and Gavish were super hosts who made your experience very special and on occasions fun too. We treated ourselves to the lobster menu at The Cove which was not part of the AI dine around but it was delicious and you do receive an AI 20% discount as well as being able to use your AI drinks package. Absolutely delicious. One slight observation here was that the staff, whilst efficient weren’t as friendly as others in the resort. But the experience and setting was very magical. If we return to Mauritius in the future we would absolutely only ever return to Paradise Cove - thank you to you all at PC for making our special trip more than we could have ever imagined. You really are the best. Read less
