The hotel

Anyone can stay on a beach in Mauritius — but the prime location of Radisson Blu Azuri Resort & Spa will make your stay that extra bit special. Set on a sweep of lagoon-washed sand, the resort is also framed by preserved mangroves. In the marine village of Azuri, you get to immerse yourself in the cosmopolitan village life and experience the beach and island activities all rolled into one. Passionate about design and attention to detail, the resort offers contemporary interiors, such as an inviting lobby with iconic shell chandeliers, oversized headboards in spacious guest rooms and many more. Guests always stay connected with complimentary WiFi throughout the hotel, including the beach. Of course some things reflect the ‘pure beach retreat’, like your balcony or terrace; the ocean and infinity pool option among its four restaurants and bars; and the al fresco activities like water sports and kayak safaris. Guests have also access to activities and restaurants (with credit) at the adults-only sister hotel Radisson Blu Poste Lafayette Resort & Spa with the 'Blu Passport Concept' — a unique offering full hotel interchangeability with complimentary inter hotel transfer to enhance your holiday.

Myself and my wife booked this hotel and had been looking forward to it for the last 6 months. From looking at the hotels website, the management photographs on this forum and the photographs provided by our tour operator, you’d rightly think this was a hotel which you would come away from having enjoyed your experience and feeling relaxed. Do not be fooled! We arrived on Friday afternoon and immediately encountered a number of issues. To list a few of the issues: 1) The pool was disgusting. There was algae growing on the glass pool partition and there was dirt floating all on the surface of the water. The tiles were coming away, the tiles that were there were dirty and there was black mould growing around the top of the pool. The pool should not be used and is a risk to your health. 2) The state of the room was awful. There was black mould growing in the shower, on the ceilings and behind the sink. The shower screen was that dirty you couldn’t see through it. The floor hadn’t been cleaned in months, there was apparent faeces on the shutters and there was grime all around the headboard. I could go on. 3) The buffet food was awful. There were wild birds tucking into the buffet at lunchtime, the food wasn’t being replenished and I’ve seen children better able to sort presentation of food better than this hotel did. 4) A male member of staff just walked into the room without knocking. 5) The sunlounger covers belong in the bin! They haven’t been changed in years and are so worn down they are all ripped. I spoke to my tour operator and the hotel management and they arranged a deep clean of the room which was worse than before they’d done it. WARNING! DO NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL! You will be disappointed and it is a risk to your health. Suffice to say the hotel gave us an entire refund and we have no moved to another hotel. Read less

From the moment we arrived, we felt incredibly welcome, thanks to the attentive and service-minded staff who went above and beyond to ensure a great experience. The hotel offers excellent facilities, including access to water sports, which added so much fun to our stay. A wonderful bonus was the ability to use their sister hotel, where we went on several snorkeling trips and even spotted turtles—truly unforgettable moments! The rooms were spacious and comfortable, and the warm, inviting atmosphere made us feel right at home from the start. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience and would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the area. Read less

The breakfast spread was good, we liked the other two restaurants as well with the resort. Note : if you are availing any of the services or activities of the resort, book them in advance including the restaurant tables. The resort if away from any hustle bustle, would recommend having self driven vehicle at your disposal to venture out and explore the unexplored in Mauritius. Read less

Fantastic, the room beach front with private swimming pool is just amazing. The staff has been really nice with us and very kind to do what we requested. The restaurant is super and food is good quality. Honestly we had a very good time at this hotel and we are planning to comeback in a couple of months.
