Ever feel like you want to escape to a private island far, far away – well here’s your chance. This is the first resort to open on Dubai’s astonishing archipelago, and they’ve not done things by half. Arrive at Anantara The Palm Dubai and jump onboard your boat transfer across to this luxury, secluded island and leave the city behind. You won’t need to pack many pairs of shoes for this trip, as you’ll find yourself with the sand between your toes for the majority of the time, whether it’s stepping our from your beachfront room, taking part in the watersports, or watching a movie under the stars. You’ll feel far away from Dubai city but you can enjoy spectacular views of it whilst dining on tapas and wine at Luna, a cool island haunt with chilled vibes. Speaking of chilled, why not take part in one of the beach yoga classes to start your day? Whilst there is an air of relaxation around the place, little ones will enjoy the activities on offer at the kids’ club and there’s beach volleyball available should you wish to exert a bit more energy. And why not upgrade to a pool villa for that added privacy, complete with sparkling ocean views from your own private pool.

The experience was disappointing. While the location and view from the island were amazing, the staff lacked proper training, and the hotel check-in process was inadequate. Additionally, the service at the restaurants was very poor. I recommend providing more training for the staff, as the standard did not match our previous experience at Anantara.
Poor Boat Service

Very inflexible and over priced. I made a booking at Anantara world resort. Had to contact them a number of times, sometimes they respond but ultimately my flight times didn’t work with their boat schedule. I was advised they could arrange a private boat to make the 15 minute journey but it would cost £500. When I requested if I could dock my own…

Very inflexible and over priced. I made a booking at Anantara world resort. Had to contact them a number of times, sometimes they respond but ultimately my flight times didn’t work with their boat schedule. I was advised they could arrange a private boat to make the 15 minute journey but it would cost £500. When I requested if I could dock my own boat I was advised I would require a special permit to enter the area then charged over £100 by Anantara for the privilege for each docking. No response back from the hotel on what the fee was for so I cancelled the booking.

Transfer from Jetty to hotel and back very slow
Nov 22, 2024kanjaniaDubai, United Arab Emirates
Nice hotel. But the problem starts from the time you arrive at the Jetty we were made to wait for 45 mins to the resort.
On the way back the wait offered was 1 hour, and upon multiple follow ups we got a boat back in 30 mins. It just took away the charm from all.
Overall not the best of experience…!
Great stay!

The staff were very friendly and accommodating, allowing us flexibility with our check out due to our flights - it was not a peak day so they were able to accommodate us with late check out. The property was beautiful with great views of Dubai. The only recommendation I have is to add more gluten free options (types of bread) and expand the in-villa dining menu. The room was very clean, the bathroom was amazing, loved the outdoor shower and having our own pool was such a luxury.
