This was our first visit to Dubai and therefore this hotel. Wow! The hotel was incredible and exceeded all of our expectations. It is beautiful, clean and very well maintained. The pool and lazy river are a lovely treat. The food was delicious and plentiful, with lots of choice to suit all tastes. Access to the nearby theme and water parks was within easy walking distance and such a bonus for an already great resort, All of the employees we encountered at Lapita were friendly, helpful and always had a smile. With special thanks to Irene, who put extra effort into ensuring we had a super stay and marked a special anniversary with decorations and treats in our room. Simply perfect! Our second visit to Lapita came here last October too. We loved it so much last year we even recommended it to friends who were visiting UAE for the first time. Safe to say they were blown away too. We arrived after a flight and baggage delay in the very early hours but we were warmly greeted and check in was efficient and bags were delivered to our wonderful room. We were celebrating our 15th Anniversary and our friends their 25th and Irene from the guest relations team had gone way above expectations by arranging a fabulous upgrade to rooms with connecting doors and a beautiful suite. Her and Fabiano had arranged stunning decorations in our room and also arranged for welcome cards for our children which was a truly wonderful touch of great customer service. The quality of the beds, bedding, towels, furniture is all second to none and the fabulous suite we were given had the most amazing shower which was much needed after a long and tiring journey. The room was well stocked with all amenities you would need and plenty of bottled water included too. We slept for a few hours but then got up to enjoy the wonderful breakfast which has everything that you could ever want, all beautifully cooked or prepared and the waiting staff are truly amazing too, polite and efficient at finding us tables and serving us to prepared to order eggs or omelettes etc. The pools at Lapita are perfect too, the whole environment is so authentically Polynesian or Hawaiian and you would never think you were in Dubai. Irene kept up the wonderful service throughout our stay with Anniversary cakes and fruit and other little special touches that we really appreciated. The stay we had included unlimited access to the theme parks and our kids and us were keen to fully investigate. We visited all of the parks over the next few days, the Waterpark being a great surprise how large and how many slides there were. Great fun was had by all. We managed to make it to Motiongate in time for the "scare fest" Halloween fright night events and we loved seeing the effort that had been taken to make it a special occasion. Everywhere at Lapita and around the resort is spotlessly clean, the buggy drivers are plentiful and polite, the luggage guys Samuel(?) and Shabeek were really helpful in arranging storage for our bags and taxis for our departure. It really felt like nothing was too much trouble, the service element at this Hotel for which Irene leads the way is truly a pleasure to behold. The food we experienced around the pool and at dinner on the evening in theaon restaurant was excellent too and priced very sensibly. After a few days we moved on to a different part of Dubai for the rest of our pre booked holiday but in hindsight we would have been more than happy to have continued our blissful stay for the whole week. We have already booked our flight to come back next year and will have even more friends keen to join us in the Lapita "bubble" that is so perfect. We are currently staying at Lapita as a family of 4 with 2 children aged 10 & 8 and we have had the best holiday ever! Hotel- The hotel is situated 30 minutes from the airport we booked with Destination2 and pre booked our transfer who were very accommodating and efficient. Look out for Tui & Destination 2 on the left at the airport after baggage who will have your name and direct you to the taxi area. The hotel is clean, spacious and the Polynesian design is stunning. The gardens are kept so well so you are surrounded by trees and wildlife. On arrival the staff are so welcoming and cannot do more for you! I am a wheelchair user and they are so helpful getting you to the room on golf buggy’s and sorting the luggage. We have room 1010 and it’s in the perfect location for the pool, restaurants and spacious enough for our family! When we return we defo will ask for the same room as we have loved the accessibility of it! The room is kept very clean and is kept to a high standard by housekeeping who work very hard! It has everything you need such as a safe, hair dryer, plenty of bottled water, huge TVs and excellent working air con! There is a lovely terrace area where you can sit and enjoy the look over the pool area. The bed is so comfortable and huge for myself and my husband! The children have a pull out double bed and also part of the sofa so there area for sleeping is huge also. Plenty of cupboard space and drawers. The bathrooms have everything huge bottles of shower gel, shampoo, conditioner, toothbrushes, fresh plump towels everyday and the shower is huge with a bench area inside which helps for myself with limited mobility. It really is a 5 star room and I cannot find anything to fault.***** Staff- The staff cannot do enough for you and they are so friendly and polite. From arrival the security and bellboys are very welcoming and assist with taxis, luggage and directions. They can also get the golf buggy’s and assist with any needs. During our trip my wheelchair wheels went flat which I was very anxious about, my husband went to the security and bellboys who within 30 minutes pumped the wheels and fixed my chair. I cannot thank them enough and it took away any anxiety as I need my chair for mobility. The lobby staff are very helpful and sort check-in smoothly. They explained the layout of the hotel and how to get to the parks. We booked the all inclusive option where you can dine around at the parks and get unlimited access to Motiongate, Legoland, Real Madrid world and Riverland. Daily you can collect meal vouchers per person of 50AED which you can spend in certain restaurants around Riverland & Motiongate this was useful and we were able to get burgers, pizza and fries when visiting the parks. One comment for check-in is we were not told that you can only order drinks to the sun loungers around the pool and not food. On the first day food was bought to us at lunchtime without us knowing this was not part of the all inclusive, then when we ordered food the next day we were told it is not part of the all inclusive but as we did not know it was complimentary that day. It all was a little confusing but we understood when asking the staff in Ari as the pool boy spoke limited English. The staff in Ari were very kind and bought us fries to the poolside for our children as they loved the pool so much it was hard to get them out for lunch! The kids club staff are very kind, welcoming and friendly my children loved going to kids club! The security around the park and golf buggy drivers are all very kind and helpful opening doors and providing directions. The restaurant staff in Ari, Hikini and Kalea are all very welcoming and helpful they are a credit to Lapita especially the team lead in Hikini, the welcoming lady at Kalea and all the staff in Ari who always have a smile and personalise our orders to exactly how we want! Food- On the all inclusive package you can eat at any of the restaurants at any time. Kalea is the main buffet restaurant which has lots of choice from curry, salads, pizza, pasta, breads, desserts, fresh Nan bread, noodles and you can ask for fries for the children. The staff are very kind and friendly getting to know you and knowing we love the peach ice tea! Ari is the poolside restaurant which has an all inclusive menu this was one of my favourite places to eat! The chicken Caesar salad is delicious, fresh pizza cooked in the open pizza oven our children also did the pizza making and loved cooking with chef! The salmon on the children’s menu is delicious and my children were very happy with the food such as the penne bolgnese, mini burger. We also loved the Alfredo and crispy broccolini! More dessert options are needed I did not like any of the main desserts but the children loved the Nutella cake! A cheesecake, chocolate based dessert is needed. The menu at Ari could also do with a change every week with a few specials or new items as it felt very samey after a week, maybe a special burger or club sandwich and different salads. Also the ice cream is chargeable around the pool and lobby. Only ice lollies are part of the all inclusive we loved the mango ice lollies but more choice and ice cream around the pool for the children would be better. They have a freezer with ice creams in Kalea but there needs to be ice creams available around the pools with more bins for rubbish or a pool attendant to go collect rubbish afterwards. The ice lollies at 3pm is a treat but more ice lolly hand outs at 12pm 2pm and 4pm would be great and then the option for ice cream from the pool bar would be good! There also needs to be more cocktails on the all inclusive such as pina colada, strawberry daiquiris and mojitos or mocktail options. Hikini staff were all so friendly there is limited choice in the restaurant on the all inclusive menu, you can choose either sushi or a starter and then a main of either curry, chicken dishes with rice or pad thai. I feel a sushi option and a starter option of spring rolls etc plus the main meal choice would be better to experience all Hikini food options. Also the option to order side dishes of noodles. The desserts I did not like in Hikini so I ordered a fruit platter from the children’s option. More desserts such as lychees, mango ice cream, cheesecake are needed. I ordered a jasmine tea which was lovely but maybe this can be offered after every meal. The food was delicious in Hikini and the children loved the bento box. Motiongate, Legoland- Having these options to visit after a lazy day sunbathing was amazing. The hotel is literally within the grounds of the parks and only a short walk. You can also get a golf buggy to Riverland entrance. We loved all the parks and the link with Lapita is excellent for the dine around! A must is the How to train your dragon ride and Hotel Transylvania ride! They have a Halloween parade for over the Halloween week! We loved the submarine ride at Legoland and save some money to get some excellent Lego choices! Travel- the hotel has a complimentary shuttle bus service to Dubai Mall and JBR beach takes about an hour with the drop offs but very useful. To get an Uber, taxi or Careem to Burj Kahlifa or city center it costs around 150-170 Aed each way but the taxis are very quick and clean so worth the cost and only takes about half an hour. Tip download some children’s movies on Netflix to pass the time! Hotel facilities- Lapita has complimentary wifi around the hotel and works very good in our room! I was able to Facebook videocall and WhatsApp with ease and my son was able to use his switch in the room for Fortnite with good internet connection. The children’s iPads also worked very well in the room. The kids club is excellent for henna tattoos, face painting and PlayStation 5 or movies! The pool plays calming music which can get a little loud but you can ask to turn down or there are Penny of subbed away from the speakers. Pool towels are provided and there are always plenty of sun beds which the pool guys help with the umbrellas and towels. You can scan the QR code next to the sun beds to order drinks. The children’s pool, lazy river and adults pool are excellent kept very clean and attended always by lifeguards so it feels safe. Simply the most relaxing place to sunbath! 5 stars ***** I had a massage at the spa and you get a 100 AED voucher from the lobby to use at the spa towards a massage. The Balinese massage by Inda was the best massage I have ever had and I will be going for more! Overall our stay at Lapita has been over all our expectations and more. We will be so sad to leave and can’t wait to visit again next year! It truly has felt so safe, comfortable and with my limited mobility I was anxious to travel with my wheelchair but it has shown me how helpful, kind and accommodating a hotel can be and I will forever be thankful to the kindness Lapita has shown myself and my family! Myself and my eldest daughter who is 9 years old, have both had the most incredible experience at lapita hotel and resorts. As soon as we arrived we were greeted with a warm and friendly welcome, our room was upgraded free of charge which was a wonderful surprise. We visited the water park, lego land, motiongate and we had to revisit because they were all so much fun. We also spent 2 days relaxing in the lazy river and pool, the hotel staff are all so friendly and asking if they can assist especially our friend Stephen.
