I expected a bit more from the Fairmont. I have lived in the UAE for about 9.5 years and the convenience and amenities in the UAE, and GCC, typically exceed expectations. The main reasons for my staycation were relaxation, indulgence in spa services, use of the gym, in-room dining, and to experience the Fairmont's afternoon tea in-room. Unfortunately the hotel did have a spa, so the expectation is for customers to leave the premises for a spa experience. While the hotel offers two salons, when I called the concierge it was communicated that there were two salons, but I was not transferred or given any information beyond that for the mani-pedi that I was hoping to enjoy. The in-room dining menu left much to be expected, but I later found that I could order from the in-house restaurants with an upcharge for each order. The offerings from the restaurants were much better, Cafe Sushi and Marco Pierre Steakhouse did not disappoint. The hotel did not accommodate in-room afternoon tea when I asked to schedule one. The gym, while adjoined to the hotel, required journeying outside of the gym through the parking lot and down a set of stairs (a bit hidden from the entrance I exited) to access. Elisha at reception was great, and the valet and housekeeping staff were amazing. I believe that the room-service staff could be a bit more well-versed with the menus when customers call; and there should be a QR code in the room, perhaps on the tv on the hotel channels so that customers can easily see what is available to them, rather than having to go the hotel website and search for restaurants and navigate to each menu separately (not convenient). I definitely expected more from a 5 star hotel and especially from the Fairmont. Read less

A great five days at the hotel. I was checked in by the wonderful Elisah who really did her best to make my stay comfortable. She really went out of her way to help me so thank you . I would encourage the Fairmount to add more dining options for the all inclusive package as Sunday to Wednesday nights (where there are no evening buffet options) are difficult if you didn't like Italian or Miffle East Food. I really enjoyed the Middle Eastern restaraunt which had really good food options/portions. Would I stay again, absolutely ! Read less

The brunch was wondeful, and provided us with a great variety of food, very comforting seats, and an extremely friendly group of staff, especially Abdul, who was very helpful and put a wonderful smile on our faces. We will definitely be coming back again! Widad Kabir (0568799997)
