The most ridiculous part is that the hotel agreed with Booking.com to cancel my reservation without any charges due to their mistake. However, to this day, they still haven’t refunded my money. Avoid this hotel at all costs! On April 3rd, we arrived only to find out they had no electricity. They claimed it was due to ongoing works, and there would be no power from 9 AM to 6 PM. This was never communicated to us prior to our stay, even though we had booked well in advance (April 3rd-5th). Due to this inconvenience, we agreed with the hotel to cancel our booking and move to another property. I contacted Booking.com, who confirmed the cancellation could be processed since the issue was on the hotel’s side, but the hotel needed to waive the cancellation fees. They assured me it would be resolved within two hours. What followed was a nightmare. I called them over 100 times, sent countless emails, and even followed up with Booking.com multiple times, yet no one took responsibility. Despite not staying at the hotel, I was charged twice (2X) —671 AED overall 1343 AED - and the charges are still pending. This hotel is unprofessional and dishonest. They have no regard for their customers. Stay away, and I’ll make sure to share this experience across all social media platforms. Read less
