The hotel

Ever feel like you want to escape to a private island far, far away – well here’s your chance. This is the first resort to open on Dubai’s astonishing archipelago, and they’ve not done things by half. Arrive at Anantara The Palm Dubai and jump onboard your boat transfer across to this luxury, secluded island and leave the city behind. You won’t need to pack many pairs of shoes for this trip, as you’ll find yourself with the sand between your toes for the majority of the time, whether it’s stepping our from your beachfront room, taking part in the watersports, or watching a movie under the stars. You’ll feel far away from Dubai city but you can enjoy spectacular views of it whilst dining on tapas and wine at Luna, a cool island haunt with chilled vibes. Speaking of chilled, why not take part in one of the beach yoga classes to start your day? Whilst there is an air of relaxation around the place, little ones will enjoy the activities on offer at the kids’ club and there’s beach volleyball available should you wish to exert a bit more energy. And why not upgrade to a pool villa for that added privacy, complete with sparkling ocean views from your own private pool.

We visited the Island for a few nights just to relax and unwind, from the moment you enter the Island to the moment you leave the experience is phenomenal. We were looked after by Amir who truly loves his customers and wants them to have the best and memorable stay. We got upgraded to the pool room which we were so grateful for and we completely managed to unwind and spend time together as a family in privacy and comfort which we will forever be grateful for as the last few months have been stressful. The staff including at the resturant are amazing with children and made a fuss out of my toddler which he loved, especially making his birthday so special the first day we arrived. Will definitely recommend this hotel just to relax and unwind, the staff especially Ahmed is amazing and all work so hard even during the heat with a smile on their faces, we have loved everybit and genuinely upset to be leaving, this hotel will always have a special place in my heart and once again I am grateful for Amir and Ahmed for going out their way for us, fantastic communication with me which were both friendly and professional and for sure we will be back in the future. My first review wasn't published for some reason so let's try this again... We went for our honeymoon and our welcome basket had assorted exotic fruit. We tried a lot of them not knowing what it should be like. Ended up eating bad mangosteen (since never had it before did not question it). Got extremely ill from the mycotoxins we found out, (throwing up, hallucinations, panic attacks, shaking, extremely high heart rate etc.). The next day we had them bring us fruit when we complained. The chef and 2 other personel brought us 3 on a tray. Cut into the first one and looked completely different and was okay. We had them cut into the others and they were spoiled terribly like the one we both ate. Ended up calling the hotels recommended nurse who boated to us on the island for IV's with antibiotics, fluids etc. We just had my wife tested on her blood and it came back infected from the fruit. We certainly alerted the staff many times so other people wouldnt get sick. We were sick for a few days, I got better and my wife got worse. Ended up having to go in the ER when we landed back in the US. We followed up with the hotels open case for us after getting back and they have been dodging us since. They have all the information. We have pictures of it. The only thing they did was comp our extra 30 minutes of a massage which was cheap upon checkout. None of the medical expenses (multiple thousands) + all of our stay we spent violently ill and didnt get to enjoy anything. The massages were right after the fruit btw where we started feeling ill. I thought we were drugged but was from the fruit. Terrible customer service in regards to our wasted stay. Read less

We had the most relaxing time at Anantara. Our Villa Host Aziza made sure that we had everything we needed and was checking in on us daily to ensure we are covered and always comfortable. These 2 days spent at the pool and the beach were very much needed
