we stayed at Rixos The Palm for 4 nights which is located in silent area in the palm. we booked deluxe sea view room. From the moment we arrived at hotel, we were treated to an excellent experience by the staff especially BeBe who was the kindest. When he realized that my wife's birthday was recently, he prepared a room decorated with flowers, sweet and champagne to surprise her. Honestly I can say that this hotel was one of the best all-inclusive hotels I have ever went. we will be back and I encourage anyone who is thinking of booking this hotel to just go ahead and book! Amazing hotel! Would highly recommend this hotel. One of the best all inclusive hotels i have been too. Definitely the best Rixos hotel. The food was amazing and so fresh. The open buffet had a lot of variety and the quality was superb. The rooms were cleaned every day to a very a high standard. The staff are very friendly and available to help 24/7. WOW!!! Honestly one of the best hotels iv ever experienced in my 25 years of travelling. First time in Dubai and I can honestly say the staff at this hotel made our holiday. Nothing is a bother, 5 star service from start to finish. Food, service and attention to detail 10/10. Reception staff, guest services, concierge, bar staff, pool side staff, housekeeping and restaurant staff are all amazing and cannot do enough to make your time there as special as they possibly can. I will be returning next year and will be booking a 3 bedroom suite which was absolutely huge and immaculate with a view to die for from our balcony. Can't wait to return. Read less

My family and I (4 adults) stayed at the Rixos Palm from 3-11 July. On arrival, we checked in, lady on reception desk requested that we pay a refundable sum of 1000AED to cover spa treatments and room service. I challenged that and confirmed that I would not use any of those services and refused to pay it. There was a compulsory tourism tax which was 52.5AED each. We booked a family suite, this consisted of 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, reception/dining room, balcony overlooking the palm. This was in Block 3, 6th floor (7 floors max). The room was clean with good facilities, mini bar in each room (non-alcoholic drinks only with some choc bars and crisps). Plug sockets were 3 pins as per UK, twin sinks in main bathroom, bath and shower, hair dryer, 3 TV’s, iron, iron board, safe, robes. Room: Good: Cleaned each day, the gentleman who did ours was brilliant, he couldn’t do enough for us. Apologies I cannot remember his name, he was a short gentleman. Bad: Large window nets could do with a wash. Mattress and pillows, not the most comfortable. Main Restaurant: Good: Service by all very good. Grilled meat section, very nice kebabs, however one evening the chap on the counter was getting confused with orders he had taken, with food get cold (my son’s food was reheated which just dried the kebabs further), others also experienced this issue. Bad: Noisy, there is a kids play area within the restaurant, I understand why it was located there, however very off putting whilst having a meal. Not a fault of the hotel, however the amount of food wastage is astronomical. People filling their plates, eating a little and leaving the rest. Perhaps a courtesy notice around in different languages to highlight users to take what they can eat. Lamb curry nice, but lacking actual lamb meat pieces (more bones were evident). Perhaps a greater selection required. Italian Restaurant: Visited once, very nice, could have more pizza selection. Steakhouse Restaurant: Visited once, closed Wednesday’s. Menus can only be viewed on mobile by scanning QR code. I’d rather see a menu card. Note: Some food items have an additional cost, we got caught out with this on one of our starters. I think the waiter should mention this prior to taking our order, in fairness it was stated on the menu, but not so obvious when reading from a mobile. Patisserie: Staff very good, the lady on the counter very meticulous in her job, which she did very well and a credit to Rixos. Waterpark: Tickets were included, the hotel provided us with towels and a courtesy bus there. There’s a lot of walking up the towers. Take your own empty drinks bottles as there are fill up water stations around. We paid 20AED each for a can of Fanta. Shuttle buses: There are shuttle buses to the Emirates Mall takes ~35mins, 11:30, 14:00, 15:30 and 20:00. I feel that there could be more buses including a later one, so one can experience Dubai in the evening and catch a 22:00 back. Taxi/Metro costs: Metro very clean with trains ~4mins, 2 lines: red main line and green line. Woman and children only carriage was available & premium carriage at extra cost. Day pass for family of 4 adults 88AED. Closest metro station to palm was Internet City, a taxi from IC to Rixos was 50AED. Taxi from airport, standard car ‘DTC Taxi’ 140AED, return ‘National Taxi’ 114.5AED. Taxi from Rixos to marina, outbound 43AED, return 50AED. Closest metro to the beautiful Sikh temple was Energy station, worth a visit. Best get a taxi from there, otherwise a 25mins walk. Trips: We booked 2 trips via Get your guide in the UK: ½ day Desert Safari, camel ride – Ocean Air Travels. Wajahat Hassan was our driver, excellent and very friendly. 1 hour marina yacht tour – Xclusive. A beautiful experience. Overall: I have tried to cover all good and bad. I would return back to Dubai in a few years time and consider a hotel closer to the centre with a metro station nearby. Finally, we would like to thank Hazem and Zaynah, who helped us with any issues/booking etc. Eliot on the front door, always with a beaming smile, a fountain of knowledge and a true sincere gentleman. Staff looking after the patisserie area, always very helpful. I hope the management take time to personally recognise their hard work as without them your hotel would not be what it is.
