Amazing hotel with friendly staff. From the front desk to the housekeeping staff, especially Mr. Supine, everyone was very attentive and professional. The breakfast and dinner buffet were magnificent with many different choices. Huge beach, many pools for kids and adults

This hotel was breathtaking. We were stunned from the moment we arrived how welcoming everyone was, the service was phenomenal, nothing was ever too much for anyone. We went to breakfast on our first day and the manager seeked feedback, the next day we had karak chai and poratha upon request. The pool guys are so hardworking, kind and attentive - kudos goes to them for smiling no matter the heat and being available, nothing is ever too much. We loved the variety of food available, Umi was our favourite restaurant and being half board you can get really good value for the credits available, the wagyu sushi, fresh wasabi and lamb chops were divine. The flavour combinations of everything was sublime. Thank you so much to Matthew the bartender and Gurpreet the manager who made our time memorable, lovely to talk to and very knowledgeable about food and drinks, a real asset to the hotel. Jaye and Ben were fab too, everyone is always happy to help, very knowledgeable and nothing is too much. Best sushi I’ve ever had and better than Novikov or sexy fish in London. Down at Lexington Ricky was great too, recommended what to eat, has a dry entertaining humour and extremely attentive. The drinks on happy hour are great value for money and highly recommend, you have the options of champagne or cocktails until 8pm. Massive thanks to Shehan and Idris at the sunset pool, they made our stay memorable, well done to KC the recreation manager who also seeked feedback but we had none, the staff at the beach were all great. Amazing holiday and glad to have met you all. The resort is made by the people you’ve employed and each of them we encountered left us with a smile. Thank you for a holiday of a lifetime. Read less

We stayed for a week and thouroughly enjoyed our stay. Arrival at the hotel is easy with the valet guys dealing with the complimentary car parking speedily and the bell boys efficiently dealing with luggage. The room was large with a separate dressing area and good sized balcony. Tea/coffee making facilities, plenty of complementary water and a decent sized safe were all positives. The bed was huge and one of the most comfortable either of us can remember staying in. The large bathroom was well equipped and had a separate bath and shower cubicle as well as twin sinks. There are several reataurants to choose from but they are pretty expensive and service in the Camelia was often very slow bordering on non-existent. The buffet breakfast was extensive and went on until 11am so no rush to get up (they also had HP sauce so no need to bring your own)! There's a shopping mall about 15-20 minutes walk away with a wide range of food options as well as Alhamra Golf restaurant about 5 minutes walk away. Outside, the pool is huge and there were usually plenty of sunbeds available although they seem like they've seen better days and could probably do with replacing. The guys at the pool bar were friendly and it was nice having the 4-5pm happy hour! One of the reasons we chose to stay here was for the proximity to Alhamra Golf club and it's well setup in this regard. There is a storage area on the ground floor of the hotel for golf clubs and the bell boys will drive you over to the club house on their own golf buggies on request. Coming back to the hotel you can just ask at the clubhouse reception for them to call the Waldorf and request the bell boys to come and collect you - all very efficient and we never had to wait more than 5 minutes to be collected. The course itself is a proper golfing test!! Overall we were very happy with our stay but the couple of areas mentioned just let it down slightly but don't let that put you off. Read less
