Being so close to the Grand Canyon, you can pop back at different times to take in the changing colours throughout the day. As well as being surrounded by natural beauty, you’ll also be a short walk from the IMAX cinema, well worth a visit. Back at the the Grand Canyon Plaza Hotel, you can relax in the beautiful interior courtyard garden, take a dip in the hot tub or pool, or enjoy a drink in the saloon.

It's a maze of a motel.

Unfortunately, the Grand Canyon Plaza Hotel did not meet my expectations. Despite its name, it was a motel, not a hotel. The layout was confusing, resembling a maze and making it difficult to navigate. Overall, the experience did not meet my standards.
Good Stay

We had a brief but very good stay here. First, the location - it’s great if you want to visit the Grand Canyon, so close. The room itself was not updated but clean and functional. And then really it’s the people, the staff. All warm and friendly and helpful. We most especially appreciated Susie. She was fantastic in helping us plan our Grand…

Her advice and recommendations were spot-on. Thank you, Susie!

Very good experience overall, with a few minor issues.

Minor issues - a missing set of towels meant we had to go back to the front desk which was in a different building; the heater does not have a continuous fan setting when in heat mode; you have to pay extra to get queen beds (which are standard at many motels these days); and the overall value was not what we'd hoped for.

Hotel is located 10min max drive from park entrance.
Only stayed 2 nights.
Good size room, 2 double bed but personally the mattress were too soft for us so didn't sleep as well as we would have liked. Like most hotel showers in the US the showerhead was located to low for me.
Small fridge in the room, small bathroom with usual amenities.

Only ate at the restaurant once for a small breakfast. Slightly overpriced.

Was great to spend a few days here whilst visiting the Grand Canyon. I recommend this hotel for everyone. Comfy rooms with a great pool and elevators too with good dining options. Near the GC. Restaurants in the area to choose from too. Lovely gift shop.
