I would recommend this hotel when you are visiting Boston. T station is right next door. Has onsite valet parking. Room is clean (see below). Staff are courteous. A huge compliment to Helaina. She makes us feel welcomed. I am a diamond member. She helped with early check in so we can unload our luggage and park the car and get ready for the Fourth of July celebration. I made initial booking using points. When we decided to extend our stay she made the transaction silky smooth. After we checked out, there was a small error on the bill. She happened to be the one answering the phone. She understands the issue and quickly fixed it. A fine hotel is a package. Staff members like Helaina definitely enhances our experience at Doubletree downtown Boston. The hotel is a little dated as you can tell from the carpet and wallpaper. The onsite restaurant is good for breakfast only. I cannot recommend their entrée. There is no direct to floor elevator from ground level. There was spider webs on the ceiling and housekeeping has to come up yo wipe the ceiling at night and leaving a whole bunch of plaster crumbs on the carpet. DESPITE all those kinks, I give it a 5/5. Housekeeping was nice and friendly. Breakfast at Wisteria was a great way to start the morning. There's also a Starbucks on site. Other than that this hotel falls a bit short. Front desk staff is not very helpful and some what rude. From arriving late and being locked outside even after speaking to the front desk, to having to change rooms, to check out and having the front desk clerk rudely tell me to go put my room keys in a collection box even though I'm standing at the front desk they have some attitude issues. And the rooms are not very comfortable. First night I would've been better of sleeping on the floor as the bed was as hard as a rock. Shower head is way short for anyone taller than about 5'8" making showering difficult. Fridge and microwave while convenient look like an after thought awkwardly placed in the room. Lobby AC is broken although they did bring in a portable unit so temps weren't too bad. Elevators constantly out of order. Fire alarms going off. This hotels location is great, no question about that. Otherwise nothing to rave about. Read less

We chose it for its more affordable rates and we are HH members plus it was within walking distance of all we wanted to see and do. Rooms, particularly the carpets, could use some updating but overall clean and comfortable. Reception was very nice and helpful as we arrived really late on Friday night, they got us to our room quickly. It was nice to also have breakfast options, they have their own restaurant (a bit pricey but there are some hotel credits that help) and there is an in-house Starbucks. Read less

This is a difficult review to write. I spent 3 nights in late June 24 at this Doubletree. I had previously stayed there for a wedding. My 16 year old grandson was with me as we were touring Boston. As a Lifetime Diamon member I am very familiar with Hilton properties and it is sad to sat bit this place is not to Hilton standards. I booked months in advance at a good rate for a double room. I don't expect an upgrade but it has been my experience that most properties try to recognize my loyalty. I was offered paid upgrades when I checked in on line...what? At check in the front dest person did " upgrade me to a city view which was nice but a double room thatbd8dnt look into a wall. I was told that I would be given 36 dollars each day as credit for the restaurant or bar. During the stay one of the two elevators was inoperable. Heavy rain last night caused ceiling tiles in the hallways to fall to the ground with major leaks dripping down. The parking offered is $63 per night. They have hourly rates. The last night I only parked for 6 hours. It's 25 for 5 hours but 5 hours and 1 min is a flat 63! When I got home I noticed I didn't receive a food credit for my last night. I called the front desk and was told I didn't get it because I didn't order anything. I pointed out that I had 2 breakfasts and a ar tab that was greater than $108. Sorry...I was told...it doesn't accumulate. What? That was never explained. Location is decent but the place is tired. Staff were pleasant but the hotel is not at Hilton standards. Sorry Hilton but I won't be staying there on my next trip to Boston. Read less

We stayed at the hotel for a weekend trip with mostly sightseeing . It’s within a walking distance of everything you need including an Old Town Trolley route. Tatte bakery nearby is always a great stop. The rooms in this Hilton could use some updating- they look like they are haphazardly slapped together with a weird placement of the mini fridge… Read more
