The room overall was clean. Needed updating. TV remote did not work at all. Turned the TV on by using the controls on the TV. Only received ONE channel. All it had on the TV was ads. Decided to turn it off. Very boring evening. The air conditioning was not sufficient for the 117 degrees outside. Very overpriced for the accommodations. … Read more

Nothing fancy about our accommodations at Stovepipe Wells, but it was a clean and comfortable place to stay in a nice location away from Furnace Creek. We had a double bed and a single in our room, so there was plenty of space for the two of us. The bathroom was more than adequate. The swimming pool was open, but the weather didn't cooperate. The breakfast buffet at the restaurant next door was a real bargain, and definitely worth it. We would stay here again if we're back in this area. Read less

We stayed here for 2 nights and enjoyed every bit of it. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. Being vegetarians, the restaurant offered several great menu options and it’s reasonably priced given it’s located at the heart of the park. Doesn’t feel commercialized and the views are unmatchable. We were able to see beautiful starry night and Milky Way right out of our room!! The proximity to mesquite dunes was such a great thing for kids. We all enjoyed our stay here and would highly recommend!! Read less

A really strange experience as we arrived when they were having a power outage. Being where it is and the time we arrived, there was no option to move elsewhere so we checked in. A really strange experience as we arrived when they were having a power outage. Being where it is and the time we arrived, there was no option to move elsewhere so we checked in. The experience continued when we went over to the saloon thinking we'd get food and a drink there. They only had very expensive bagged sandwiches and a cooler with a few beers which we bought and a bottle of wine. The bar man was keen to close up before 5 so we took the goodies and sat outside. Considering the inconvenience, there was no offer of anything to make our stay better. There was no shower working in our rooms and the power only clicked back on in the early hours. It certainly gave us an experience to remember and laugh about after! Read less

We peeled in about 4pm, no reservation. Thankfully had a room for us, only 2 doubles left. Staff was great. Definitely not a luxury hotel, but decent amenities in the desert. Ice machine, water fill stations, pool, general store with adult beverages, 2 restaurants (close at 8pm). Gas was $5.60/gallon! But it was $5.99 in Olancha later that day!!… Read more

It’s a little farther from the main sites, but we watched the sunset at Zabriskie Point, ate dinner at The Inn ($$$), then drove back. The stars were beautiful then. Also made for a quick trip to the dunes at sunrise. Read less
